Fast and Professional Service

I could not be happier with this move. I booked this service a month in advance, and had to change my move date multiple times due to a delayed remodel at my new address. This was never a problem. Based on our schedule, had to do an early morning move on a Friday. Ken and his crew were on-site and on-time at 5am that morning. They had everything loaded quickly, securely, and quietly. Some items that I wanted to take in my own vehicle were packed and loaded into my truck by his crew as well. They had to disassemble two desks which added a little extra time to the move, but this was expected. Everything arrived at our new home in perfect condition. It was unloaded and installed just as quickly, including the reassembling of the desks, and placement of all of our furniture. They will move you, but don't turn ...

My 83 year old mother lives in a local retirement complex. She wanted to move to the top floor, which was quieter. She moved into the exact same 2 bedroom/2 bath apartment, just located on a different floor. Many of the ladies told my mother that KB moved them to another apartment and they did a good job. The cost was approx. $400. I told her that it should be a fairly easy move, as we sold 75% of Mom's belongings when she moved into her apartment. She didn't have alot. There was no truck involved as the move was to another apartment in the same complex. Mom assured me that she didn't need me or any other family members there to supervise because the other ladies had assured her that they were "nice" movers. What I found out later, after the move was that the owner told Mom he would charge her the same as the other residents ($125 - $140 per hour) using 3 movers. He showed up with 2 movers but the price wasn't adjusted. So they showed up at 6:30am and didn't complete her move until 5:00! Since Mom had not packed either her kitchen or the two bathrooms, they didn't even have to move any of this! WHY would it take 10.5 hours to move a two bedroom apartment with minimal furniture and only a limited amount of boxes??? When I asked her, she said that "they didn't have the right tools." I can't imagine that they would need any out of the ordinary tools to disassemble her bedframe, but lets just say they did. How long does it take to get the right tool and if they showed up unprepared, she should NOT have to pay them for the time they stood around scratching their heads. She did not call me, which I was not pleased about, until the move was "complete" at 5:00pm. At some point in the afternoon, one of their friends, who had stopped by to check on the movers, told my Mom that she needed to go get them some lunch. So my 83 year old mother got in her car and went and purchased them lunch, thinking that this was something that she was suppose to do. When she got back, they met her in the dining room and enjoyed their lunch and at the end, they charged her for the hour that they were downstairs eating. Not only is their lunch NOT her responsibility, but I don't know anyone that gets paid to have their lunch no matter where they work or what type of job they have. That is wrong and this man knows that it is!!! So I realize that at this point there is nothing that I can do to make this right because she didn't alert me while it was happening and she has already paid. SHADY BUSINESS PRACTICES

Ken, the manager, quoted me a move for this Saturday over the phone, but when I called him 2 hours later and included that I purchased the groupon his company has, he avoided me the rest of the day. The groupon is a great deal, but he charges a $140 flat fee on top of it. This is a pretty hefty fee compared to other companies--that's where he makes his money while having a "deal". I called him from a different number today, and he answered immediately and gave me a huge story of how he can't do my move anymore because he now has a HUGE 30k move to Washington that will take up the weekend. I asked when he'd be back, and the story grew to this week is packing, next week is the move, and the following week he'll be on vacation. I asked whether he'd honor the value of the groupon after it expires (because I'm temporarily moving) and will need help in January, too. He then said "he wasn't sure if he'd be available in January". We're in September. I wanted to test whether he was full of lies or whether he truly had scored a 30k move. My boyfriend called to schedule a move, and he suddenly had availability this Sunday. He's a liar and does not do business fairly. He has a groupon, but he does not want to honor it. Ken and his team were courteous, professional and got a complicated move down(2 trucks, stored our belongings for one week in between moves). His quote was accurate and they completed the work within the estimated time and no furniture was damaged during the move. Our belongings were very well wrapped. I have moved twice using Ken, and both times I have been beyond impressed with his professionalism, skill, and courtesy. He and his staff are trustworthy, on time, communicate instantly with logistics, highly skilled with packing fragile antique furniture (this was noticed as compared to other movers), and demonstrated impressive driving skills with that huge truck in my affluent urban street parking neighborhood with luxury cars right and left. As a young female I had such a good experience the first time that my fiance felt comfortable having me meet them alone the second time in the evening. This is a 180' compared to other movers in dallas, who have no-showed, stolen expensive sunglasses, cost twice what they quoted, did not work efficiently, damaged items, and acted creepy. This company renewed my faith in the moving industry! Ken even worked around a family death to get my move complete before leaving town for a funeral. He also worked around getting locked out of a storage and setting back the time 30 minutes. I pray he gets continual business so this service is always available in dallas.
