Do Not Use

Please read my experience and use another mover... Thank me later... My family recently moved from NOLA to another state and found Lee moving online. One of their associates came to our small apartment and met with my husband to give us an estimate for a full pack with an additional pickup from a local storage facility. She seemed knowledgeable so we decided to use them for our move. Packing day: The movers showed up bright and early. They came in and took one look and their enthusiasm immediately faded. They stated that they were unaware it was a full pack, that we had so much stuff and that they were unsure if they even had enough boxes. ??? They had to call in one additional guy to help pack. The team had no power drills to take down the beds and toddler beds so they had to use manual tools (not sure why). Several times during the day the team took smoke breaks as their enthusiasm began to fade even more. Granted, it was hot outside but it seemed excessive to us. My mild mannered physician husband berated them for so many breaks and even called our moving contact at Lee moving to complain - to little avail. We also had some boxes and other items in a local storage facility that needed to be moved as well. Since the team at our apartment was super slow, another crew of two was called in to get our boxes from storage. Unpacking day: A different team of two delivered our items - they were very friendly and showed up early. It started to rain during the process - my husband (not the movers) had to go outside to close the truck so our goods would not get wet. Immediately after the unpacking, I called Lee moving to let them know that our carpet was slightly damaged during the unpacking. I received an email the next day that it would be covered with information on how to process a claim. I decided to check the items in all of the boxes before submitting a claim about a week later. It's during these days that I noticed a nice puncture hole in the top of an armoire as well as a broken candleholder. I took pictures and submitted one claim for all three issues. I reached out to my assigned claims agent to ask the status. She responded via email that I would receive a check for the armoire and candleholder ONLY. I was told to contact Lee moving regarding the damaged carpet. I spoke with the manager on 2 occasions. He stated that he would kindly call me back after he had time to research my inquiry/claim. I received an email that they do not clean carpet - he never called me back. NOTE: The claim was not for the carpet to be cleaned.... My multiple calls to Lee moving has gone ignored. We spent $7k with this company and are being mistreated after trusting our personal items to them for safe transport and delivery. A great, hassle-free move

I have no complaints about this moving company. Although they were a little bit more expensive than other companies that I saw in my area offering similar services, I chose them because they were highly rated by the Better Business Bureau. The staff and crew was very punctual in arriving on moving day and they did a great job with everything. They didn't damage any of my items and they delivered them on time as promised. Read more
