Beware, this company isn't ethical
I've moved a half dozen times: from OK to HI to CA to FL to AZ to CO to VA to FL. We've always had a few things broken and once a box dissappeared, but I've never had a mover deny they lost (or stole) something as obvious as a 6 foot yellow ladder. The moving companies always have admitted their flaws and paid the minor fees, until I met Liberty. Their crew took the liberty of "checking off" items themselves, so we didn't know the item was for a few days. I contacted them 3 times in the following week asking for them to find my ladder ... but no response. I contacted the broker who promised to have them look ... for cyring out loud, its big and it's yellow! Of course, again, no response. The broker said to file the insurance claim ... I did ... 2 months later they denied the claim because Liberty said I didn't report it on the day of delivery. These people did break a few things, but I didn't bother filing a claim for the breakages because I figured they were minor, although I just had the glass replaced on a picture and it cost me $50. Add in a few other breakages and they probably really owed me $200. Unethical is the worst characteristic in a mover and that's what we have here. If they'd just admitted they'd lost it ... not a problem, reimburse me. But to behave this way??? I can't tolerate liars.
