Majestic Moving Nightmare

WARNING!!! ROGUE MOVERS. if you value your belongings -- AVOID MAJESTIC MOVERS, OAK PARK IL, LIKE THE PLAGUE! After loading my 16 items of antique furniture onto the truck, bogus fees were added and my estimated cubic footage was more than doubled from 333 (315 actual) to 850! The demand for cash (or certified check) also more than doubled to $2260, after banking hours. The office ignored my calls and emailed requests to recalculate. I was held hostage upon delivery for the balance of $1990. The delivery team also had the nerve to offer leaving the dirty, used blankets on the items at a half price "deal" of $20 each (Public Storage charges $10.99). The delivery guys were careless with box cutters, slashing a chair leg. I returned the next day to rearrange the storage unit to discover (in addition to scratches and dents) that an arm chair was broken (the arm was completely missing!) and that the queen headboard was missing! How do you lose a headboard with 7 foot posts?! Their website promises were in no way similar to my experience! I trusted these morons with my mothers legacy. I was grossly overcharged, and my items were irreparably damaged and lost! I could have done a far superior job by myself with a U-Haul. They were very polite, efficient, eager to please and do what we wanted and worked non-stop. I know this wasn't an easy job with so many boxes and trying to keep them organized in a certain way. Experience with Majestic has been top ...

Let me start by saying, I have moved almost 6 times in US in the last 3 years, and the experience with Majestic has been top notch. This last move I was very close to doing on my own with my husband by renting trucks and taking charge so nothing went wrong as my last few experiences weren’t cheap or good but they are very affordable, excellent customer service and take that extra mile for customer satisfaction. The customer rep David was very friendly and as promised was available to answer my questions and concerns throughout the move and even after the it was completed ( which is rare to find in the moving industry now a days they just leave you after taking your money) . The packers did take some time to do the packing but they did their job well and with quality so I cant complain. Our delivery came fast and in a reasonable time frame from the distance they had to travel and I appreciate the calm process. There were few damages to a lamp and stool but the claims team covered expenses for brand new ones and issued a check to me! The team was very sweet and professional.. Overall it has been a great experience and I would definitely use their service for my next move. Read more
