Complete Crooks, Unscruplous Owner
Manchester Van Lines and its owner, Mike, represent nothing less than the Enron of household goods transportation industry. He has defrauded every entity in this business - customers, regulators, reviewers and insurers. Opinions aside, let me begin with some hardcore facts about this raggedy company. First, Mike PAYS OFF BAD REVIEWERS as much as $500-$1000 to remove their reviews from Yelp. Second, this company is operating despite an EXPIRED LICENSE and has overdue civil penalties. Take a moment to check out his DOT# at the FMCSA website. FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) is a government regulatory body for the transportation industry. Third, Mike will sell you full coverage insurance from a 3rd party insurance company (most likely Baker International), not draw out any policy and pocket the premiums. In the event you'll need to make a claim, which you most likely will following their dismal handling of your property, Mike will lie through his teeth giving you a run-around until you get exhausted, frustrated and give up. Aside from asking for original receipts, he will also ask you to NOTARIZE THE CLAIM, and submit THREE WRITTEN ESTIMATES PER DAMAGE ON OFFICIAL LETTERHEAD - are you kidding me!! You will most certainly experience delivery issues. In our case, they missed the two day delivery window with the excuse that the driver "fought with his wife and didn't want to drive". On the day of delivery, you will get stretched thin trying to protect your property from the callousness of unsupervised cheap labor. I am not alone in the harassment and damage I have suffered at Mike's hands. In desperation my wife and I emailed Yelp reviewers and discovered there are plenty of us. As others' stories unfolded we all realized the recurring themes of insurance fraud, obscene behavior, shameless lies, delivery issues, property mishandling and in some instances attempts to threaten lawsuit if a bad review were written. Let me assure you that a significant percentage of his customers have suffered mercilessly at his hands. Don't be fooled by the façade of professionalism Mike and his sales team will fake before you've paid them. Once you've paid Mike in full, you are entirely on your own. You will prefer to deal with the DMV than with him. Don't be another one to bite the dust, too many hard working families have already been his victims. As with other posts Mike will respond to this post as well with spurious retorts to undermine my review. I won't even bother with peddling "trust me" and "believe me" to you. But just think for a second, if any of this is true do you really want to put your hard earned belongings into this man's hands!!

Worst moving experience possible
Dont EVER use Manchester Vanlines!! My wife and I are shocked and dismayed at the overall services we received from Manchester Vanlines. We hired them for our move from Walnut CA, to Spokane Wa.. On pickup day the company failed to protect rims they were hired to move, and proceeded to drop and scrape our WRX STI rims- once on the driveway and then off the back of the lift gate followed by a rude employee, who informed us that if we wanted our rims to transport safely we should take them in our car ourselves. we sent Manchester Vanlines photos of the damage and their response was "The pictures of the rims does not reflect substantial/apparent damage to the rims." On the signed agreement we paid a $938 upcharge specifically for Entire truck

Fairly smooth experience
We moved from Duarte CA to Brunswick GA. The move went fairly well the only issue we had was with the delivery driver who we couldn't reach till one day prior to delivery. The one thing I can say for Manchester Vanlines is that they were the only company from all the others who told us in advance that we will need a shuttle to get to our new house. Torri
