Horrible experience!!!

VETERANS BEWARE: We chose this company based off of their support of military and veterans. My husband is a medically disabled Navy vet and connected immediately with the sales guy Kevin. He chatted back and forth with Kevin for weeks coordinating the move for my mother, and he convinced us they go above and beyond for vets. He even up-sold us from a 2 man crew to a 3 man crew. We had a move scheduled WEEKS in advance for 8am on the 24th. On the morning of the 24th over an hour passed and nobody showed up,so we contacted Kevin. He let us know one of the movers woke up with an abscess and couldn't make it. We had to reach out to get this information, and to make sure another crew was coming as this was the only day we could move. Time passed and we reached out to Kevin AGAIN and he assured us movers were coming. He even went as far as to tell us he himself would come out and get my mother moved which did not happen. Fast forward to 1:30pm. A crew arrives and lets us know they were working a double and were very tired. They got the first portion done and arrived at the second location to unload. The men told us they would need to charge for extra time as the move was running past the quote. WE were penalized with extra charges due to this horribly coordinated move. I reached out to Randy (the guy the movers instructed me to contact) only to receive a very deflective email back. He did not resolve ANY of or issues or requests, but told us "Obviously there was nothing we could do about an employee calling out sick" and "I am happy we got you moved". I requested we be refunded the extra time and only charged for what was quoted. Ethically this is what I believe is right. Due to their company not communicating and coordinating properly, the move ran long. I didn't even touch on the $2000 couch they broke, mostly due to my lack of confidence in their customer service. PLEASE BEWARE!! They will sweet talk you and make you truly feel like they are a resource for vets, but they are cons. They charged my card THREE times!! I would hate for any others to be worked over by this company. Read more

Great experience!!!

I have moved many times over the years, this was the best experience I have had yet. The crew was quick and efficient and all were very friendly. The booking process was easy and luckily they had space available for me on short notice. I would use them again! Read more

I used Moda for a recent move, I was referred to them by my realtor. The guys were great! The move took the whole day but I expected it, as I had a lot of stuff. I will use again next time I move (hopefully not for a while). Read more

Moda - TERRIBLE

Moda Movers - Willsonville, Oregon are TERRIBLE – communication was almost nonexistent from them through phone calls and emails. Terrible – broken promises on delivery time. Terrible – broken and lost items. Moda arrived June 27th at our house to load their moving truck with our items that we had packed. The loading crew was good but part way through the loading they received a phone call letting them know that the truck driver that was to drive their truck to our Las Vegas house had shown up DRUNK and Moda was going to give him a couple of days to sober up before driving to Las Vegas. I asked if Moda had other drivers available and Moda said they did not. As the loading progressed, the crew leader said that the truck they were loading with our items was too small for all of our belongings so they were going to have another truck sent to our house. Then the Moda crew leader said that when both trucks were filled, they would be driven to Willsonville. Moda finished loading, we spent the night in Salem and the next morning we drove to our new house located in Las Vegas, Nevada. On our drive to Las Vegas we called Moda to check that they had started driving to Las Vegas. Moda says they still have no driver!! We kept calling them (Moda did not initiate a call to us). Norm is an artist and has painted 30 plus paintings that we wanted moved and wanted Moda to take special care of. Moda charged us extra to pack them. We said OK. But after Moda got the paintings to Willsonville then they wanted more money to repack them. What could we do but pay the additional $$. More phone calls from us, now in Las Vegas, to Willsonville (no calls from Moda) and Moda still had not left Willsonville. On July 9, upon delivery of our items, we realized that MANY of our boxes had not been delivered. We called Moda and they had not a clue as to where they might be. Also missing was our house vacuum cleaner and two patio chairs (which match our table and four other chairs). We unpacked the paintings only to discover that many were scratched, had broken frames, and the paintings were warped out of shape. Modas conclusion was painting damage was due to Las Vegas climate!! Moda said that Oregon does not have the hot, dry, cold, damp... weather like Las Vegas. Many days went by and after another call from us they found the vacuum but they, a moving company, were not sure how they would get it delivered to us. Weeks after they had found our vacuum it showed up in a box on our front porch. We opened it and saw that it had been taken apart, broken and used by them. Several weeks later Moda came across our two patio chairs in their warehouse and once again could not figure out how to get them delivered to us. With today’s technology we (sadly) have saved all of the emails between us and Moda. And our phones have a record of our calls to them and show that they did not return many of our calls when we had to leave messages. Read more
