Terrible Estimate

I called and had an in person estimate completed. I showed Amir everything that was going to be moved. When my things were loaded on the truck I was told that I had more things than what was estimated. I understand that the estimate may differ from what I actual have however underestimating by $1000 is ridiculous. It would have been more but I was told that I was given a break. In the end a couple hundred dollars was taken off the final price but I still believe that the cost was to far off from the original estimate. Read more

Extremely Unpleasurable Experience

I found them to be extremely unprofessional. They gave me a quote I explained to them EXACTLY what I had in my apartment. Number one they sent the guys, they showed up on time, so no issue with that. However, the boxes were lined up for them all they had to do was break down the bed, which should have been no more than a 15 minute job. They quoted me a certain price based on that and then their team decided to take their sweet time to move the things. Meaning if the boxes are ready, take them down and load them into the truck. They sent a truck that didn't have a ramp either, they sent a truck that had a lift. So they were not using the lift, first one person would take the boxes down (and I live in the elevator building by the way) so they had no issue with taking boxes down by stairs or anything like that. They brought the dolly, they took the stuff through the elevator, they took it down and when they got down, the first person would wait for the second person to come down to help him load the boxes and they were not using the lift to do that either. So now what's happening is that they are starting to add time to mine. I told them "you need to be out of the building by 2 and a half hours, they left about 3 and a half hours later. Then they got to my house and they're taking one box out of the truck and then taking it where it's supposed to go. So I said "guys, hold on, take everything out of the truck, put it in the middle of the hallway, and then take it to where it needs to go. So they could quicken up things. So then guess what? Rather than taking 4 and a half hours to complete the job, they took 6 and a half hours and then they try to bill me for that additional 2 hours at a rate of $130 per hour. They also damaged my stuff as well, rather than fully wrapping up everything they also damaged my sofa. So I had a huge argument with them the other day and then one of their employees cursed at me. So it was just an extremely unpleasurable experience with these guys. Then since I Decided not to pay them, they made me write on the receipt (we agreed on a different price) it was a bill of $800 so I negotiated to $625 plus the $25 deposit I gave them and they made me write on the receipt that I cannot claim any damages on the moving they did. So that caused an issue for me down the road as well. So these people are by far the most unprofessional people I've ever met and when they were selling their services to me, they sounded so professional, I cannot even tell you. Even though I stuck with them when other people called me and offered me a lower price point, I called them they said "no no they're lying to you, our cost is what it is it's what we told you." However they robbed me for my money, they were unprofessional they, didn't do their job, they sucked at what they did. Read more

Movers 201 is a Top notched company

Our move from Maywood New Jersey on June 22, 2015 was everything as promised when Amir visited our home to give an estimate. Additional cost on the day of move, involved item which was not included when estimate was given. On the morning of Move, 4 guys first arrived at storage on time as promised. Once items were loaded on truck, they proceeded to the Apartment, to continue loading the balance of items. Delicate items they were responsible for packaging, were professionally wrapped, and loaded to truck without any incidence. All told, 146 items were loaded on truck. The happiest part of this whole experience was on June 29, 2015 when the truck arrived at our new home to deliver our items. Every piece was accounted for with no damage. We want to thank the 4 guys in New Jersey, and the two guys in Fort Lauderdale ( Anthony and Luis) for the exceptional job they did. Also want to thank Amir as well. *****Stars. Read more

THIS IS A SCAM - DO NOT HIRE!

MOST AWFUL SERVICE PROVIDER I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH! After confirming our appointment multiple times, the company did not show up. We called countless times for the hour following our appointment time and they would lever let us speak with the manager but kept saying they had to cancel. Complete disregard for the fact that we took of work and had already boxed up our entire apartment. Said they would call us back but never did to offer a solution. Never heard from them and when I called back an hour later they said they have no solution. Horrible!!! Pay the extra dollars to use a real company. Read more

Professional and flexible

They showed up on time to do an estimate which was great, they were quite flexible on how we would work with the seven hours and hour rate, not a complete charge for a complete move. They were very professional when they came to pick up our stuff and they were very good. They didn't damage anything. All in general, it was a good service. Read more

Having done some research on the net and going through some reviews, I finally selected this company. They have done a good job and I am pretty happy with their services. I just wanted to send a quick note to THANK YOU and your team for making our move this past weekend a smooth one! The process of buying our house has not been smooth at all and we've had numerous complications; it was SO NICE and TRULY APPRECIATED that the move was smooth! Your team was extremely professional & unbelievably fast!!! We moved out of an apartment that was on the 4th floor of a walk-up building.
