Unethical Company

Please be very cautious using this company. This is one of the most unethical, borderline fraudulent, companies I have ever come across. I had a PARTIAL move if that, and they grossly underestimated the cost of my quote (3x the quoted amount). I was very specific on what I had left in my apartment to move because I was trying to stay within a budget, and I had already moved most of my apartment the week prior in order to cut costs. The mover’s behavior was so awful and disgusting. It got so bad with their actions that at one point I asked them if they had a job after mine and when they said no, I knew right then that when they kept disappearing for an hour or so at a time, did not use the loading dock etc. that this was a stall tactic meant to induce more money. At the end of the move, I refused to sign the paperwork saying I owed an ADDITIONAL $1050.00 (not including the $450 quoted). Because I wouldn’t sign, the movers wouldn’t leave my apartment. They kept pretending they didn’t speak English and I had to actually seek help because they wouldn’t leave. This is called trespassing. I told them multiple times, I was not signing, and I would contact their office the next day. I started to get concerned for my safety. I also asked them multiple times to call their manager, but they ignored me. Even after all of this I wanted to do the right thing and told the company I would pay for what I agreed to pay which was another $250.00 after my previous $200.00 payment but nothing more. After telling the company the actions of their movers, they refused to explain to me why the movers did some of the things they did to Include not using the loading dock, which in their “Time Saving Tips” flyer they sent me, one thing for cutting the time down is making loading docks and elevators accessible. I did this. I did my part to ensure that they had a smooth transition. Instead the movers made their OWN CHOICE to park the truck across the street and use the steps going UP the loading dock and to the elevator. The elevator in comparison to the loading dock entrance was mere feet. I don’t believe they had the appropriate licensing to operate the vehicle and had trouble. I spoke with Alicia at length about my concerns and everything the movers did to include the fact that I had several witnesses who could attest to the content of my apartment and the movers comments and behavior. I was given no explanation for why the movers did anything that they did. I told her I wasn’t allowed to read the paperwork that the mover wanted me to sign because they refused to start the move until I signed everything which cut into MY TIME. (Almost half an hour alone). Some of these documents appeared to be suspicious such as a document that stated the movers did not cause any damage to the property. They hadn’t even started. The highlight of the move was that ...

It was very good. They just took about 7-and-1/2 hours to complete the move. Their price was reasonable. We actually found a couple of companies that were cheaper than them, but we went with them because their price wasn’t too high or too low. They were on time.
