Avoid like the Plegue

They subbed out the packing and move to another carrier, who then subbed out the truck and delivery... Packers were late, slow and nickeled and dimed us to death on materials and labor. The move was delayed by a day which cost fees and penalties with the closing. Everyone demanded cashier checks or cash even though Romeo at Nationwide assured me that credit cards would be accepted. Tremendous damage, breakage, wet goods, etc at delivery. Claims process sucks and recovered nearly nothing. Stick with an actual name brand mover. They put me in the hole

This whole experience has been nothing short of awful. Let me start with the driver who loaded the truck - he tried to scam me and get me to pay over $6k on an accurate $2.4k quote. When I told him I wasn't interested in working with him, he "came down" on his personal opinion of what he thought he deserved to be paid. I paid $3k to have him make disgusting comments about my appearance and my outfit, and to have him hire a circus of guys who went digging through my trash looking for scraps they could sell. I paid $3k to have my items picked up 2 days late, and delivered 5 days late. I paid $3K to sleep on the floor for 5 days, be cussed out by Nationwide Movers, and when I finally got my items delivered...two missing bedframes, ruined couch legs, missing box of expensive athleticwear, missing every piece of my dining set, water damaged mattress (it had been sitting in a pool of water!), a missing glass table top...OVER $7K IN DAMAGES!! Also, they can't give me a simple invoice to give to my employer for reimbursement. So let's make that $10k in the hole. Great Company

They worked very hard, got the job done. I feel they went out of their way and did a tremendous job in helping my family move. Nothing was damaged and we had a lot of very heavy things that needed to be transported. They put everything where it needed to go and in the end I’m very happy with my experience with Nationwide Moving. Would use this company again in the future! Read more

Professional

The company was very professional, very courteous. The had someone come out with a few of his crew members to give us a quick quote. We’re located in Miami FL and moved up towards Baltimore, MD. IT took a few days for them to come out and get us quoted, I guess their crew weren’t in the area. Long story short, they were able to help us move up north. Excellent Company

The company did a good job with our move. They worked hard and fast They took the time to wrap everything in blankets. They picked it up on time and it only took them a couple days (Tuesday to Friday) to drop our stuff off. everything arrived in the same condition and everything was accounted for. Excellent !

I'll try to do it short and to the point, prior to moving date I was very nervous, those horror stories you read bout movers or competition who is speaking bad over others. I understand all of this now. Nationwide was in and out are home with in 7hours I must say, I was Amaze by the way they handle my goods from the minute they began til the end. Honest Company

I spoke to a representative named Rocky from beginning to end and he answered my questions. The day of the move the inlaws gave us a couple pieces of furniture that we just had to take and the driver was sympathetic enough to charge us the minimum and add some things in for free, and this all happened the day of the move. DO NOT USE THEM BEWARE

They overcharged me for a fuel surcharge that was included in my estimate. Almost every piece of furniture is damaged. Actually broke off legs of dresser and tried to fix it and then push it against the wall so I wouldn't see it. Waiting on a refund every time I call they mailed yesterday. Came in rental truck so forget the BS about there own trucks. I will be filing a claim complaint to Better Business Bureau. Thank you for providing their address. Read more

Things on document that weren't on ...

They overcharged us. There was things on the document that my mother signed that weren't on the original estimate. We're still waiting on a refund that they said was going to be here a week ago. A lot of my mothers furniture was damaged. $400 dresser with legs broken off. When they were moving they actually dropped some ones leather coach off the moving truck, right on it's back. thankfully it wasn't mine. it was awful we're still waiting for the claim to go through. Don't even think about hiring these ...

Moved my 90 year old mother from Tennessee to Wisconsin. More than doubled their quote, missed the promised delivery date by 6 days, lost a box with her phone in it and lost a queen size bed frame. They should rename the company to Dewy, Screwum and How. Terrible, Terrible, Terrible Read more

It was very unpleasant.

Well, the price they quoted me, and the price that I ended up paying were drastically different. They should not have, you know. I might have gone with another company had they been... They just low balled me in order to get my order, you know, in order to get us. And I felt that they were... The people were very nice, but I felt that they were, you know... They seem annoyed by the amount of stuff we have. It took them three days to move me out of my house. First, they didn't come one day. It was raining. And then the next day, they came late. And the next day, they were supposedly sent to another moving site. And the whole thing was very unpleasant. There were things that I wanted that didn't get taken. A few things came back broken. YOU SHOULD BE AWARE THAT THIS COMPANY IS NOT COMPLIANT WITH THE STATE OF GEORGIA AND HAS NOT PAID THEIR INSURANCE PREMIUM. AND TRUST ME WHEN I TELL YOU THAT WHEN YOU HAVE A PROBLEM, AND I'M PRETTY SURE YOU WILL, THEY WILL NOT EVEN TRY TO MAKE THINGS RIGHT. I USED THIS COMPANY FOR MY MOVE FROM FLORIDA TO OHIO. THEY TOLD ME THEY WERE NOT A BROKER, AND THEY ARE. THEY TOLD ME THAT MY THINGS WOULD NOT BE TAKEN OFF OF THE TRUCK THAT WAS USED TO PICK UP MY POSSESSIONS, AND THEY WAS. THEY WERE STORED IN AN UNKNOWN WAREHOUSE IN MIAMI, FLORIDA. WHEN I FINALLY RECEIVED MY POSSESSIONS (LATE), THE MAJORITY OF MY THINGS WERE DAMAGED. AFTER SEVERAL EMAILS, PHOTOS, AND PHONE CALLS, I FINALLY DID SOME RESEARCH AND FOUND OUT THAT GEORGIA'S SECRETARY OF STATE HAS SENT THE COMPANY A NOTICE OF DISSOLUTION IF THEIR BUSINESS LICENSE WAS NOT PAID IN FULL. (YES, THEY ARE DELINQUENT!) ALSO, AFTER TRYING SEVERAL TIMES TO GET THE PROPER PAPERWORK TO FILE AN INSURANCE CLAIM, I WAS TOLD BY THEIR INSURANCE COMPANY (ANTHEM) THAT THEY WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO PROCESS MY CLAIM. THE COMPANY (NATIONWIDE MOVING) HAS NOT PAID THEIR PREMIUMS, SO IT'S PRETTY CLEAR TO ME THAT THIS COMPANY IS IN FINANCIAL DISTRESS. I have moved 3 times in 7 years. I have had all kinds of moves and movers I must say this one was the BEST thus far! Nationwide moving was professional, fast and downright GOOD! NATIONWIDE MOVING IS A HORRIBLE

1. The Estimate. The original estimate quoted an amount of $1900. 2. The time frame for delivery. I carefully explained to the person who took my reservation for your services - Sara, that I was moving into my new place on Sept 1 and I was started a new job on Sept 6 and my kids will start school on Sept 7th. We packed for three days with anticipation you all would honor my request and be there on Sept 1 for delivery. The movers continued to express how they could hold my things for 30 days and I explained that was not an option because I need my things Sept 1. So the horror of not being prepared for work and not having the items I already purchased for my kids for school has been devastating for my family. But the worst part of the experience has been dealing with the people who work at your company hanging up in my face or not answering the phone (I've read other customers with the name complaint) and the lack of empathy and management not returning my calls. Management failed to address my concerns and refused to give me an approximate date for delivery - telling me they have no idea when I will get my things. 3. I sent this company pictures of broken items the company is responsible for. All these items are not repairable. Also in one of the pictures, there's a lamp they delivered to me that does not belong to me. Read more

Very satisfied customer!

I scheduled my move with Nationwide Moving as I am relocating out of state for work. I cannot begin to express how pleased I am with the company. So far the first part has been nothing short of phenomenal. The movers actually arrived early! The crew was courteous, professional, hard working and such a pleasant surprise during a stressful time. Sara helped set me up she was so easy to work with. Sara was very informative walking me through every step of the process. She made me feel at ease which was important to me being that moving can be so stressful. On the day of the move they wasted no time getting to work and had my entire place wrapped, inventoried and on the truck in 2 hours. They were extra careful with my items and made sure each piece was thoroughly protected. I would like to request them again to move my belongings into my new home!
