I can't recommend these guys highly enough. They moved the entire contents of our 4+ bedroom house from Miami to Jersey city. From the moment I contacted them to the day of the move (and beyond) they were awesome to work with. They were also significantly less expensive than the bigger moving companies, all of which gave us estimates 40%-50% higher than OM Van Lines. Read more

I work in construction, and my family and I have moved several times across the US in the past 15 years. This last move was from Tampa, FL to Brooklyn, NY. From the very start, communication was on point. Santos told me when they’d show up to pack, when they’d hit the road, and when they’d arrive. Wilson and Manny were the most efficient packers and loaders that I’ve ever seen! They had our 5/3 all packed up in two days, and loaded in one. The driver was great, and gave me a call 2 days before he arrived and was right on time. Overall, easiest and least stressful move we’ve ever made. Avoid like the Plague!!!

Om Van lines( Gary) quoted us $10,152 price then AFTER they loaded all of my grand mother's belongings on the truck, they changed the price and told us they would hold her stuff until we wrote them another additional check for roughly $8,000 more. When the truck arrived down in South Carolina they didn't send anyone to unload the truck except for the single driver. So we ended up having to unload our own moving truck after paying over $18,000 for the move. Avoid like the plague!!!! Read more

Your goods will be held hostage

When I spoke to Gary from OM Moving, he told me that OM moving was not one of those companies that waits until they load and then holds your possessions hostage as the rate skyrockets. That was false, that is exactly what happened today. I was on the phone when your crew arrived, they went through what we were booked for, how they do the BOL, took our information and my wife paid them the agreed amount. AFTER they had the van loaded, they changed the price and demanded $853 for the $1703 increase in price. Our “Binding moving estimate”, quoted us 1000 cf. After they finished loading the foreman said we occupied 1450 cf. The driver yelled at my wife and asked if we wanted to have them remove the 450 extra cf of our belongings. I was on the phone with her hearing his man yell at her. I could hear my wife crying in tears as the foreman continually spoke over her and berated her for not understanding the increase in price. My wife lost a day of pay on the moving day. We had scheduled the move for Sunday the 9th, her day off. I did OM Moving a favor and agreed to move it to the 11th. Her daily income is between 400-550 a day. So after giving up her money for the day we have to deal with this fiasco. Read more

DO NOT USE THEM

This was the worst moving experience I have ever had. They gave me a quote, and then I was charged over double AFTER they packed the truck. I did not have that much stuff, the biggest piece of furniture I had was a mattress, no couch, no table. They did not deliver to my address, I had to rent a uhaul and they loaded into the uhaul on a random side street. So I had to unload all my stuff myself. Some of my boxes were wet and soggy and ripped up. I had stuff spilling all over the place because of the wet boxes. I highly recommend you use someone else. Read more

I was quoted $1445 from a rep he assured me I would have a binding contract and the amount would not change which was a total lie day of move my price changed from $1445 to $1919 I feel like this company is a scam and is only out for money I don’t recommend this company I’m very upset and disappointed Read more
