The worst company I've ever dealt with
"Our key objective is to satisfy our customers' needs. It is because of this commitment, we go above and beyond to provide on-time performance, accurate pricing, and complete professionalism."Or so it says on their email letterhead. Nothing could be further from the truth! One Way Vanlines is probably the worst moving company that you could choose. Do yourself a favor and choose another company. We used a broker that used One Way Vanlines to help us move some of my mom's things after her death, from Virginia to Utah. It was bad from the start. The driver slid into my dad's yard (it was rainy, and he was inexperienced it seemed),and did $750 worth of damage. At the time,I called and they said to send pictures and they would take care of it. We didn't know the price yet,but we had to get the house on the market the following weeks,so my father's usual landscape company was used to get it back in order. I sent pictures of their truck in our yard, and off the driveway. A couple weeks after the move,I emailed to ask about the progress of the reimbursement. I was told that since they were on a public road, they were not responsible for damages to my yard. This was a lie,as they were on my driveway when they slid into the yard. Eventually,I went through the Better Business Bureau to see if they could help me. One Way gave excuses such as: "We have every reason to believe this is not their property." "There is no google earth image of the house." etc etc. I sent public record documents and land records, yet they continued to deny responsibility. Finally,I decided to go to a website and see if I could locate their insurance carrier, which wasn't difficult since I had a picture of their van and driver,as well as the license plate sitting in the middle of my yard. They compensated me immediately. I wish I'd done this from the start, once I realized OneWay was never going to be truthful. As for the actual delivery of goods, they did not deliver on time either for me,or my father who also moved to Utah. They are just an all around bad company to deal with. I have pictures, emails, and the BBB complaint interaction with OneWay.

One Way Van Lines is unprofessional, ...
When loading my belongings into the truck at pick-up, the team did extra packaging (bubble wrap, etc) that they then charged me for. They did not ask me if I wanted to do that (even though I was present the whole time) and I assumed it was a part of the moving/packing estimate I'd negotiated with the company. When I was charged an extra $325, the company representatives refused to discuss any solution. I was told that it was my word against that of their employees and "there was nothing they could do". After multiple attempts to call and email the manager, I filed a claim with my credit card to refuse the charge. Only THEN did I get a prompt reply telling me that I couldn't file a claim for damages while I still owed them money. And yes, my belongings were damaged. Multiple boxes squished (even those clearly marked fragile) and two bookcases cracked/shelves broken. In addition, despite multiple requests for an estimated arrival, I received only 6 hours’ notice of delivery and had to leave work early. The truck traveled from Baltimore to Kansas City, leaving what most would assume is plenty of time to update me that the truck was on its way and to estimate an arrival day. Yet I received ZERO communication until the day of. Do not hire this company.

Impressive service!
The ONE WAY VAN LINES service was excellent! From the Customer Service to the sales department were all friendly and helpful. The loaders and the driver also worked hard to make sure I was successful in my move. I'll recommend them to everyone!
