Residential move has to consider a wide range of parameters such as building norms and traffic congestion. Packing services are offered but if you wish to do your packing, we provide you with packing materials like boxes, tape, bubble wrap, and blankets. Charges are levied based on the volume of goods moved and the distance it is to be moved.

Long distance moving can be tedious and exciting – new place, new friends, new opportunities and at the same time the pain of relocation. Attention to detail and proper scheduling are a must in these moves. Unlike residential moves, long distance moves are charged based on weight of the objects to be transported. We provide such services as: full or partial packing, unpacking; crating of marble, fine art, and antiques; furniture dis-assembly and re-assembly; long and short-term storage; and, piano moving.

We have two storage facilities – one in New York at 159 East and the other one at Hillside near New Jersey. Both the facilities are equipped with high-end security systems, fire control and sprinkler systems, loading docks, and bay service elevators. There is no fixed time for storage, you can renew your storage contracts on a month to month basis.

Do not use Oz Moving

Today, Oz Moving company delivered my furniture. We had initially set a virtual walkthrough to get an estimate. Once they came to pack our stuff, they charged us $2,500 more than the estimate, which means you cannot trust their estimate process. While packing, after I bought the crew lunch and was throwing the trash away, I saw they had broken glassware and had not bothered to mention it or to tell us. I had also set aside important documents in a bag and told them not to pack it. This accidentally got packed. The sales person told us delivery would be Oct 27th to Oct 30th. My furniture was delivered on Nov 3rd. When the furniture was delivered, somehow they had misplaced parts of my bed frame. Based on the services provided, they were supposed to breakdown and reassemble furniture but that did not happen with my bed frame. Aside from that, as I have been unpacking things, I have seen that a lot of the boxes had more paper in it than anything else and they had packed trash up. So basically the additional $2,500 was because of inefficient packing and trash on top of the 14k that they quoted. This company is not professional so customers should be aware. Bait and switch, called police due to ...

I hired Oz to move from NYC to Atlanta based on reputation and Better Business Bureau grading of A+. When I booked, I explicitly asked if they contracted out their moves and was told no. Everything went smoothly on the NYC end of the move. However, the Atlanta end of the move was horrific. My items were delivered by a contracted company with a BBB rating of F. The contracted foreman arrived at my apartment complex and scoped out the unloading location and the apartment. While making small talk he mentioned that this he had been with his company for 1 year and that is the longest job he had ever held. He also told us he drove from NYC in 10 hours (google maps says it should take over 13 hours). I was already concerned about this individual based on comments like these as well as his bizarre affect. He asked if he could go get breakfast, to which I said yes, but then he disappeared for three hours. When I called him to ask him where he was, he became angry with me and started yelling at me. When he returned, he became progressively more volatile and irate as the day went on. He damaged all of my wooden furniture and parts of the building. For example, he was moving the couch down the hallway on a roller with his colleague and rammed the couch into the wall causing the dry wall to fall off. When I confronted him about this damage and other building damage, he admitted to doing it and said that’s why insurance exists. He also told me that movers can get revenge on their customers by destroying all of their stuff. Throughout the day I had been in contact with Oz and updating them. Nearing the end of the move, he threatened me with a box opener blade and told me he “would hate to see someone get hurt.” At this point I called 911 in fear for my safety, which I have never done in my life, because this individual was emotionally unstable. By this time, my family arrived to the apartment and we kicked the mover out of the building. We moved the mattress from the loading dock and the couch from the hallway ourselves since the move was not finished. I refused to stay in the apartment that night because I was afraid that this man might return and retaliate since he knew my address. On Monday, I began conversations with Nancy at Oz. She was extremely unpleasant to interact with and never once apologized for my experience. She told me that she was not there, so she was unable to tell what happened and it was my word against the foreman’s. She sided with the foreman even though I am a physician with no past records of misconduct. I showed her numerous other reviews that I found online about the foreman’s behavior, including some other individuals who had also called 911 on him due to frightening interactions with him. Oz is a company that lies to its customers and then puts its customers in danger. They clearly do not care about their customers or take responsibility for their actions. Read more

I would definitely recommend trying ...

It was excellent and so was the crew. They were late because their first job wasn't finished on time but they were pretty good. I don't think it was too concerning. When I called them they said they would be an hour late and they were an hour late so that's okay. I would say definitely try them. Read more

Everything went perfectly

Excellent. Everything went perfectly. The quality of the everything was perfect. These guys wrapped everything very professionally. I have used another moving service in the past. While they wrapped it, what they didn't do is pad it before they wrapped it. These guys, they wrapped everything--padded it, wrapped it. It was basically mummified. Everything they did was a great job. They didn't drop boxes, they slid things off their carts. They're fast--everything was great. No damage whatsoever. Read more

Not a satisfactory move

I was not thrilled with them actually. It did not go as well as I would have hoped. I was moving from California to New York and in California the movers I had did not put down everything in the inventory that they were taking. They actually missed a box. And so when they got to New York we didn't have that to check off. And so we are actually missing a box. It was a pretty expensive box actually. We were missing quite a few of our items. With the move, I think their contract said 14 business days. They delivered on the 14th business day at 6:30 at night. Even though it is supposed to be moved in between 1 and 3. They were late. They took forever. We had a lot of items that were broken. There were quite a few problems. Read more

Exceptionally good service

It was great. Very easy, very smooth. They had an A plus rating - the entire time they have been in business. That was one of the main things that I liked. I did the whole packing and moving. They did a good job with everything. They got everything here on time, not broken. It was a good experience all around. The price was reasonable for me. It was within my relocation budget. My belongings arrived safely without any damage. No they were great actually. In customer service I talked to Liz a lot and she was great. Everything was good. For future customers I would say I would recommend them for sure but I don't want to give a quote or anything. Read more

Prompt service

My experience was fine. It was fine, they were prompt and it was fine. The only thing was that the delivery driver was not so friendly. I don't know about prices because my company paid for it. I didn't here anything about that and it was around $1000. The staff members were fine. The total was $1335. Packing was really good job in packing. Read more

Mediocre services

It wasn't great. It was an average moving experience. They were reasonably priced but messed up during the delivery. Their customer service did not inform us about delays in the delivery. I had to call them and find out. The movers did get the job done but I had to constantly tell them about things. Read more
