People's Moving & Storage started out in the early 1900's as People's Storage Warehouse in Providence, RI and later evolved into People's Moving & Storage relocating its facility to the well known center of Historic Apponaug in Warwick, RI. In 2005 we celebrated 100 years of business. It was a year long celebration for our Company for many reasons. We have relocated from our well known sight to another close by location in Warwick and spread our wings to other dispatch locations throughout RI and MA. We maybe expanding but do not be fooled we are still the same local and family owned company we have always been.
We keep our new fleet of trucks in working order. All trucks are inspected daily by our trained drivers. Each truck is equipped with the latest equipment to ensure safety for our employees and your belongings.
All employees have back round checks done including drug/alcohol testing. They are trained in morning stretches and how to effectively lift household items to project their backs and also your goods.

My Move
I moved a few months ago and I was not very happy with the services. I had to ask the movers 3 times to cover my items to prevent damages. They did not use Cloths on the floor of the truck and 4 pcs of my expensive furniture were damaged. The man were rushing and even at one point argued with each other. The Claims process was the only thing that went very smooth. I would not use them again.

Impressed by their services but the ...
My move to Cranston went very well. Their staff right from manager to the moving crew were very professional and were eager to help me. The crew arrived on time and finished the move as per schedule. There were no scratches to my furniture or paint peeling of the walls. It went smoothly but I ended up paying more money than what was estimated.

hottest day of the year
Mike, Mike, and Dylan (?) were very professional and did not complain once about the heat. I followed them around with a squirt bottle full of ice water. The temperature rose to over 99 degrees. They arrived early and were very helpful!
