All-around Poor Service and Experience

I would not do any business with Platinum Van Lines or their affiliates. They charged us 70% more than the original estimate, damaged several furniture pieces, missed their pickup window by 12 hours, missed their dropoff window by another 12 hours. I was forced to take more time off from work because of this and have accrued over $2000 in costs beyond the original estimate. Not too Shabby

I cannot say enough good things about Platinum Van Lines. We were referred by a co worker who had used them before. The bid process was easy and turned out to be quite accurate. They were very up front about the charges. On move day a crew of three showed up on time. Brian, Daniel and Ken. All three were excellent. They went right to work loading our stuff. It was an all day job and these guys worked tirelessly! No broken items or significant damages. Took great care to cover the doorways and stair rails for protection. Didn't pay attention to my fragile ...

They got there four hours late. It was after 10:00 when they got there, my scheduled time was 6 p.m. They clearly don't pay attention to when you mark boxes, "glass" or "this side up" because I had pictures packed in a box that were upside down. They just didn't pay attention to the stuff that was fragile when it was clearly marked. And he didn't leave behind copies of the paperwork that I signed, so I've been calling to get copies of the paperwork and I haven't received anything yet. Read more

Sales associate lied to me and I was ...

I would never use them again. This is my first long distance move and when I was looking around and talked to the sales associate they sounded really good. They made it that they were like a family company and were in a town that I grew up in and everything. They weren't one of the bigger names out there but I figured talking to him sounded great and everything so I went with him. Come to find out that all the information that he provided to me was inaccurate. He was actually a bad sales associate as the company told me. When the movers came everything was completely different than what I was sold. The customer service was very poor, I don't appreciate how some of the people talk. They're rude and they obviously don't put their current customers as a priority. I was put on hold because they were trying to make other sales. They told me the person I talked to, he was fired because he was misquoting people. They basically said SOL to you, you have to abide by our terms. I did not appreciate the service at all. Read more

Ok so I just had these guys move roughly 200 boxes of admin paperwork from one storage facility to another and I have to say it was as easy as it gets. They sent 3 guys to do the work and showed up on time, did the work in only 3 hours and as they based the costs on time worked were as fair as ever. The best part is that they actually cost me 1/6th of the price of the other company that bid on this job for me. Read more

The four times that I hired Platinum van lines, we had a different helper every time and they all were very nice and professional. This company is very accommodating - so much so that he moved me on a stat holiday so that I could get my office set-up for the upcoming work week. They were very careful with my things (not a thing was broken!), worked efficiently and are very reasonably priced. Moving can be a pain in the a** but josh and his guys make it a piece of cake! First, the price was VERY competitive with three other movers I was looking into.Platinum van lines was willing to match / beat prices from competitors who looked way dodgier. I got a flat price for my move and didn't pay a cent more after the initial estimate by the guy who came over to review the size of the move. so their price match is what won me over. Read more

Need to do an in-home estimate

They have to come before estimation, they have to look at all the things and then they have to give the estimation. At the end they should not change the amount. They have to give the quote correctly. Read more

Company, packers were good

The company is good, the packers and the guys who came were good, I would certainly recommend. This drinking and all happened in one cases, and I think that should be avoided. But definitely let them know that they shouldn't drink when they are at work. Read more
