Awful company

Needed to move one large piece of furniture that was deliverd curb to tge second floor. Was quoted $400 but the guys came they wanted $600 because they added a bunch of extras when nothing was needed because it was still in the box it was delivered. Once I told them to.leave and I woukd get anotger company, then they were gappy with the original quoted price. Wrote a bad review then the owner's son kept calling and harrassing me. Read more

Very rude and not transparent

The behavior of the crew members was really really bad, not the real workers, the main person who was there. Not only was he rude but imtransparent. He said everything was fine, eh didn't even mention that eh would charge me for two or three stairs that were there. I asked him if he sees anything that I need to be aware of before the move starts, he did not mention that. They said they were going to charge me double stairs price. The person I was communicating with, when we talked over the phone i mentioned that to him, but she was not available to talk the whole day in spite of assuring me she would be. i had to talk to new people and they wouldn't hear me out. They said she was not available. Their truck broke down and it was their fault. Their manager was called in from their office and he was very very rude. They gave me an estimate for 6 hours, but they worked 5 hours and left with the 6 hours money. Read more

I had to pay two times more than what the quote was. But the service itself was good. Nothing was broken,taken on time, everything was done. Only the quote was not as perfect. That was the only surprise for me. Read more

The movers were good but the estimate ...

I was satisfied with the movers but the price I am not satisfied with because whatever they said they charged me double. The rest of the services were not that bad, not that good, but I'm fine with that. I was told $500 and they charged me $1,000. Read more

A terrible experience overall

The estimate that I was given was not accurate. The final price came out to almost more than triple the original estimate that was given to me. They guys wasted so many boxes and filled up things in the boxes for nothing. These boxes took so much space on the truck that they didn't move everything that I needed them to move. I still have a garage full of furniture and stuff that they haven't moved. They told me if they want me to come back it's gonna cost more and come in another day. There was damage to one of the couches during the move. First they told me that it was damaged before they moved it and then they found the broken piece in the truck later on. Then they told me that it was already broken when it was in the truck and they had just clipped it off. Then in their attempt to fix it they told me that it would be better off if it got sanded and all that, but they didn't fix it. So many hidden costs!

They have so many hidden costs, which they didn't tell us during the estimate. During the quote they didn't tell us some things and there were some things that we were not even aware of. We live in an elevator building and the person said we should have told them, so we used the elevator and they charged us too much. We were not at all happy with the services there. We've been asking for a copy of the final bill and that has yet to arrive. So I would not recommend their service to anyone. Read more

Good service but price exceeded my ...

Overall it was pretty good. They were late, that was one of the bad things about the move, I guess the job they did beforehand went over. The people who did it were good, though. The price was reasonable, but there were extra charges that I didn't know about. Packing was all good. None of that was told to me - until I got there, I had to pack everything. Charged me more

They were good. Careful with everything. They were nice, on time. The only thing was that I felt they kind of over-charged me for like packing tape and stuff that they used. It was only a few pieces that I moved. They didn't really need to be wrapping it. They really wrapped them. I didn't feel that it need to be as wrapped. I think it is because they wanted to charge me for each roll of tape that they used. So that piled up to $100 extra for all the wrapping tape that they used. I thought it was a little excessive. And then there must have been some kind of miscommunication between the lady that booked it for me and the mover himself. Because I was told that there wasn't a minimum but he charged me for four hours. I was told on the phone by the representative that it was by the actual hour and there was no minimum. I was disappointed in that. I felt that I was charged more than what it should have been. I feel like for the materials that they have used and for the time - I mean they were nice and careful. They were on time and in that aspect it was okay. I did receive all the services that I requested. I would just make sure that they clearly spell out exactly what they're charging for. I thought it was clear with the woman that I spoke to on phone to reserve it. I did ask the questions but it seemed like there was some miscommunication when the mover came as far as the minimum number of hours and the amount of materials that they used. I am not sure if I would recommend them. I would recommend them as far as them being nice and being punctual and being careful. I think the price was almost double of what I was quoted though. Wouldn't recommend them to anyone

It was not good. What went wrong was, I had given her an address and I told her I would call her back the next day with an accurate address and she was gonna fax me a new work order - an email that she never sent. That is fine. Everything went okay except for the fact that the guy kept getting lost. And because I didn't meet them at the site because they were like a half hour ahead of me -- my father was in the hospital -- they charged me double from what was agreed. Poor Communication

The service was fair to good, considering they totally screwed up the moving times by 5 hours, had a confirmed moving time of between 9 - 9:30AM, they did not arrive until after 2:00PM due some foul-up in scheduling, also the final cost was kind of high considering they were only moving two rooms of furniture around ten blocks. don't trust their quote

STAY AWAY! I wish I could somehow give them lower than 1 star but I am unable. To preface this review I have moved 4 times locally in the NY/NJ area in the past 7 years. I understand there will always be fictitious "extras" that are added to the total of any quote you are given. In my mind if it adds another 10-15% I just kind of live with it as part of the industry. With that being said I was moving a 1 BR apt from Brooklyn to Brooklyn (7 miles away). I was quoted a minimum of 4 hrs at $85/hr plus supplies. I asked the girl on the phone if she could ball park a number for me just so I wouldn't be caught too off guard. She said a 1 BR should be about $150-200 in supplies but could vary depending on how well I packed before. With that quote given I assumed there would be an extra $200 of something on top of that and I was looking at about $800 for the move. As the movers arrived 2 and a half hours late coming from a job in NJ (great planning by dispatch) I again asked the manager among the 3 what he thought supplies would be based on how things looked. He said between $150-180 but couldn't guarantee me anything. After everything was packed up in their truck they give me a bill for over $1,200. I obviously tried having an educated conversation with this guy but that was impossible. I said there was no way I was paying that and he looked at me smugly as they were in possession of all of my goods minus my car and they weren't going to turn it over until I paid the amount in full. Acting like he was doing me a favor he ended up knocking off about $40 off the supply charge which ended up being over $450. To say I would never use this company or trust anyone associated with them would be a huge understatement. Read more
