BAD COMMUNICATION

This was the first time I was going to use a transport company, and because of these guys, it will be my last. Absolutely horrible customer service and they failed to even contact me to pick-up my vehicle. We went through a broker to "Guarantee" the deal and with a signed contract we thought it would be a done deal. Road Riders Auto Transport contacted me and said that in order for me to get my vehicle on the next truck I would have to "out-bid" someone else that was looking to ship a car. I told them that we had a signed contract and that this was not an auction. The ladies response to me was this is the nature of our business, and if you want your vehicle on the truck you will have to come up with another $350 to get it shipped. I told her no way was that part of the contract, that was signed by them and she said it is subject to change and that is how they run their business. The next week was a disaster trying to get them to refund our deposit and cancel the contract. Even after multiple phonecalls, e-mails and faxed letters asking to cancel the contract, they have not confirmed it with us. This is a total scam to rip desparate people off. They treated this whole incident as if it was a game and didn't really care that they were trying to get more money out of us. I would not reccomend this company to anyone. Stay far away and look for someone that doesn't charge a deposit or contracting fee up front. This company is not part of the Better Business Beureau (BBB) and they are not insured. These should have been red flags for us, so don't make the same mistake. Read more
