DO NOT BY ANY MEANS RENT FROM THIS COMPANY AT ALL! This was by far the worst experience I have had to date. I did not know this company (Seventh Generation) would be assigned my contract until it was too late and I had paid who I thought was the moving company but actually a broker (Nationwide Moving Solutions) a deposit. If I had known and seen these reviews,I wouldâ??ve taken my business elsewhere. When the movers came to my home,(all my items save for my bedframe,a small armchair,coffee table and two storage bins,fit in one single bedroom). They took one look and immediately decided it would cost way more. I asked how did they know,they stated the company who hired them knows nothing about moving and you donâ??t know what youâ??ll pay until they tell you. They miswrote information on my inventory list for example calling my small arm chair a â??sofaâ? proceeded to ask me uncomfortable questions about whether or not I live alone and if Iâ??m alone in my city. (They asked this several times in different ways) by the end of the day they padded my invoice with an additional $1,200. They will absolutely scam you out of more money any way they can,including having drivers charge you an obscure additional fee because by some magical shift your items take up more space than what you were told. (They damn near doubled my cubic square footage) if you hired them for cross country be prepared to be told after the fact that they use 18-wheelers and If they donâ??t fit down your street (which essentially guarantees that they wonâ??t always fit down your street,even though they will have your address in advance and know whether or not you live in a home or apartment building) they will charge you a â??shuttleâ? fee but was told by a young woman on the phone itâ??s not a flat rate,I was told the driver decides what he will charge me. Then another individual I spoke to calculated what the shuttle fee would be for me and I was told an additional $600. I tried to seek help and work through this amicably before delivery but You can expect to have your phone calls and emails ignored until the last minute. Then bullied into an explanation of your contract the day before delivery. (Literally had someone call me and tell me that I had to pay the amount or there will be a problem) Iâ??ve already filed with the BBB,the CA Department of Consumer Services,I have contacted the CA Attorney Generalâ??s office and I will be reaching out to other proper authorities as well to have this organization investigated for false advertising,fraud,and predatory practices. I notified both the broker and the moving company about the inappropriate line of questioning that left me feeling extremely unsafe and did not even get so much as an apology. An Absolute Nightmare with Seventh Generation Moving I cannot express how infuriated and disgusted I am with the appalling service provided by Seventh Generation Moving during our move from California to Georgia. What was supposed to be a straightforward relocation turned into a relentless ordeal that drained us financially, emotionally, and physically. Deceptive Pricing and Hidden Fees Initially, we were quoted $2,500 for our move--a figure that seemed suspiciously low compared to an $18,000 quote from another company. We should have trusted our instincts. After updating our inventory list, the price inexplicably jumped to $5,000. While we anticipated some increase, we were blindsided when the foreman arrived and declared the actual cost would be $9,000. This astronomical hike came without warning, forcing us to scramble for funds we didn't have. It's clear Seventh Generation Moving engages in bait-and-switch tactics, luring customers with low estimates before inflating costs when it's too late to back out. Unprofessional and Unreliable Movers Without any prior notice, we discovered that our move had been outsourced to Seventh Generation Moving--a fact never disclosed to us by the broker. The movers arrived with a truck too small to hold our belongings, delaying our departure and causing me to reschedule with my new employer. Their lack of preparedness was not just inconvenient; it was utterly unprofessional. Abysmal Customer Service and Communication After waiting four agonizing weeks, we received a vague call promising delivery in "3-6 days." The movers eventually showed up unannounced on the seventh day with a massive semi-truck, blocking our residential street and attracting the attention of the police. Common sense dictates that a semi-truck isn't suitable for most neighborhoods, but apparently, Seventh Generation Moving lacks both foresight and logistical competence. To add insult to injury, we were ambushed with an additional $1,200 fee for a shuttle service since the semi-truck couldn't access our home. This outrageous charge was never mentioned beforehand. When we reached out for clarification, both Seventh Generation Moving and the broker dismissed our concerns and were shockingly rude. The dispatcher even had the audacity to yell at my wife, who was alone with our three-month-old baby, causing her immense stress and emotional distress. Damaged Belongings and Incomplete Service Upon finally receiving our items, we were appalled to find our boxes crushed, mishandled, and carelessly dumped throughout our home. Fragile items were not respected despite clear labeling, one of our safes was damaged beyond use, and the movers even knocked over our TV in front of us. I was more than pleased with the services of this company. I chose them because of the thoroughness with me in all aspects of the move and pricing. The communicator spent a significant amount of time with me on the phone which I found reassuring, but never pressured me to place a deposit. I received a confirmation email the week prior to the move and a phone call one day prior. The actual move was just as satisfying. They did a wonderful and efficient job with moving me out and in. Cannot recommend these guys

This company was subcontracted by AMERISAFE brokers. Seventh Gen stuck me with a WAY higher cost, 15K more than estimated. These men were sloppy packers. In many boxes, there was no paper or bubble wrap used. Many, many items were damaged. The contract was not adhered to. The contract stated they were to bring three wardrobe boxes with the metal hanger in the top. They brought them, but threw all clothing with hangers into the bottom of the boxes. The contract says they are to reassemble items that they took apart. I reminded them to assemble my desk. They took a look at it and left. My camera bag never got here. A full suitcase was left here. It had another person's name on it. Movers said it was mine...?? I phoned the owner and got it picked up by the movers. The contract said no liquids were to be packed, but these guys packed nail polish remover, insect repellent... dangerous items to be on the trucks. To top it all off, they threw garbage into the front garden of my old house, and threw more garbage in my son's yard. Read more
