Massive bait and switch

Shame on us for using movers for our move. I guess we thought that this company would be different. Boy we're we wrong. They quoted us at $3400 based on what we told them, then they got there, took 9 hours to load the truck and at 9pm when everything was in the truck, they came to us and told us that our move cost had more than doubled. The best part was that our deposit required was $3,000 more than we were quoted so we didn't have the cash on hand to give it to them and they took so long that the banks were closed. This foreman must be an ex convict. He is a con artist. He tells stories about these overpriced moves of celebrities and the like, so that when he gives you the massive up-charge you won't be upset. He tries to befriend you to disarm you, then he picks a number out of the sky knowing that you are not going to tell him to unload the truck and leave when it is 9pm and you have no other options. My wife and I truly felt violated. This act was nothing short of criminal. We paid them and told them to leave. When we got to our new house we called them and asked when they were delivering our stuff. They said when the check cleared... well, apparently they didn't deposit the check correctly as our bank had no record of it. Because of this we waited 6 days for our items and slept on the floor. We then had to go to the bank and take out about $6k!!! AVOID THIS COMPANY if you have an option. Read more
