Local Move
Local move, in most cases, is a move done from city to city within a state or in a 50-mile radius from your current location. The industry standard is to charge by the hour. The rate depends on the number of movers and the number of trucks that are required for the job. UMS estimator will make the proper determination. If packing is needed, that too is charged by the hour.
Long Distance Move
The interstate movement of household goods and personal possessions takes the coordinated effort of a team of professionals. UMS continually strives to exceed our customers expectations.
Long-distance moving is based upon the mileage from the origin to the destination, and the total weight of your belongings. UMS will pick your items up from your home and store them in our storage until the shipment is ready to leave for the destination. Alternatively, UMS offers pick up at your current residence with a direct delivery to your new home. UMS will complete a full inventory of your belongings and will safely and securely wrap or box items that require special care.
Corporate Move
We can undertake any kind of commercial move from a single internal office move, to large library move or complete company relocation.
We supply all the necessary packing crates, with security seals and lids if necessary (for confidential files). We use large computer crates that once decommissioned, our packers can bubble wrap each item and pack a complete computer in one crate.
Our team of fitters is fully trained to dismantle and reassemble modern workstations and office partitioning.
Our vehicles are equipped with air ride suspension, ramps, blankets, barrows and dollies; together with our staff this enables us to provide a full office moving service.
International Move
At UMS, we specialize in International moves and can organize your move to anywhere in the world - taking care of those complicated local laws and customs for you.

Local and Small Move
The movers were very kind, compassionate, and professional and they were able to work with the dysfunctional layout of the apartment complex. I believe the cost for the move was high for such a local and small move (one room of furniture - bedroom set). I informed them from the beginning that the amount of furniture to be moved would change, because I was selling furniture out of the apartment to have less to move and store. When I received my confirmation call, I let them know then there was only one room of furniture to be moved. They are a good moving company, but I would suggest using them for larger moves that require 4+ hours. That way you feel like you are truly getting your moneys worth. I paid for 4 moving hours + 1 hour of travel time which comes to 5 hours total. The total job only took them almost three hours (from start to finish), and that included making a requested stop in between. Given my circumstances at the time, I agreed to the terms. I needed the service, and my time was limited. Lucky for me, they were/are a great bunch of guys, and they did a great job. I would hire them again but for bigger jobs (like moving one house full of furniture to another house).

Best Movers Ever
When attempting to find a reputable mover I came into contact with Marc of Unified Moving Services, LLC. I was immediately impressed with his knowledge and understanding of my needs. With both my husband and I being in our 70's, we discussed in detail the size crew and truck needed. On the day of our move we were sent a 3 man crew. These men couldn't have been more professional, caring and mindful of our age and needs. The men handled our belongings as if they were their own. They were courteous, respectful, understanding and did everything they could to help make our move as easy an experience for us as was possible. Very satisfied with the move
When I wanted to move, I started getting quotes and nailed down to 3 movers. Unified Moving Services was one of them. Ultimately I ended up going with them. The biggest selling point was, I was given do not exceed quote. This way, I know for sure, howmuch to budget and what to expect. When the day of move, the crew arrived on time, packed very well and everything was delivered on time, intact. I was a bit surprised as all went well as I have moved before in the past and have had issues (some were very minor). I would highly recommend this company for anything who is looking to move.

I wasn't very happy with the packing, ...
The quote was very nice and the person I corresponded with worked out well, however, when the movers came it was a different story. They were professional but a lot of things that they packed didn't seem to be correct. ...I wasn't very happy with their packing.

The packers were ineffective and they ...
They were fantastic, up front in the sales. ...However ... The packing team was sloppy and ineffective, they broke some of my items. They failed to properly pack the piano. When I tried to submit a claim later, they just said, "Yeah, here's some paperwork," could care less. They drove off the job the first day, left my things in the yard. Failure to communicate ... Big fat zero, I would never use them again.
