Avoid these scammers at all costs!

Do NOT use this company! They are scammers! Before I continue, ask yourself this, "Why are soooo many people across the country reporting the SAME horrible things about this place?" Because it's true! I tried to be optimistic (and save money) but that was a mistake. Allow me to explain... In the beginning, they treat you great, answer your calls and provide phenomenal customer service, HOWEVER, once the move begins, ALL that great service goes out of the window. The representative (Art Booker, New Jersey, 908/952/0066} we've been working with - the same one who hounded us with calls initially - has failed to return an email or phone call. When we call, we're sent to voice mail or told he's on a call or out to lunch. Despite our inventory list being exactly what we discussed on the phone, the movers arrived (NONE of which were wearing masks during a Covid-19 pandemic) and raised the price by SEVERAL hundred dollars. As for Art, he is NOWHERE in sight and not bothering to offer the great customer service he promised. Another thing - and they do not tell you this in advance - their moving insurance is horrible. They pay. 06 a pound for broken items. That said, if your $450.00 TV weighs 10 pounds and is broken, they're only going to pay you $.60 - sixty cents! That's crazy! (Thank God we have renters insurance! If you don't, again, do NOT use this company!!!) I do not recommend this company. Stay far, far away. They do NOT care about you or your belongings, ONLY THE MONEY. And to any employee who might dare comment on my post, you should be ashamed! I have been phoning and emailing for DAYS and have been cast aside and ignored. If you can't speak with me now, do not bother to reply to this comment with a fake apology or rebuttal to make yourselves look good. I have proof of EVERYTHING I'm writing here and will be glad to share all of it with other members of the community. Now that my patience has worn thin and they've made it clear I'm not a priority, this will be the first of many comments and photos I plan to post online, as well as calls the appropriate government agencies to address their non-compliance with state orders (masks) as well as bad business practices. This "company" should be out of business. Together, with our lawyers and the testimonies of other customers who were scammed, we can make this happen. Shame on these thieves! The world is hurting financially due to a pandemic - people are losing their jobs left and right - and Official Van Lines only cares about themselves. Do NOT use them. Pay a little more upfront and find a reputable company like Mayflower. Trying to save money will only hurt you in the long run. Shame on you all, including you Art Booker. You're all thieves and cowards, and karma will catch up with you all professionally and personally., and I will do all I can to ensure she knows the way. Read more

They were OK overall...

They did a good job overall but they came early which was not helpful for me , because I had a scheduled move in time at my building. They kind of left a mess in my bathroom, they weren't the most professional people, but they were OK overall. Read more

It was just as expected.

the pricing was reasonable I think, the packing I didn't like it very much. I mean it was OK, it was a short move; 3 miles, but that wasn't as expected, I packed much better so many more times. The administration staff was very nice, they were easy to deal with and everything so that helped me with my insurance claim, so that's the part I like with them. Read more

My experience with them was very good!

My experience with them was very good, They arrived and they immediately started explaining to me how it would work. then they immediately started taking the boxes down and putting it in the truck they moved very quickly and very neatly. Everything was good they were very nice. They even knew before hand that I had to make a stop to pick up furniture so we did that and then we came here they asked me where everything was going, and i told them and everything went well i have no complaints at all, they were good! They came in and immediately started ...

It was wonderful. They came in and immediately started working and packed it all up. We left and it was done in 3.5 hours... It was awesome. Less time than what I expected but it was what I hoped. Overall they did a good job, but the ...

Overall they did a very good job in regards to moving thing from point a to point b and they moved items to the storage facility. The only complaint is that the truck was really big enough for everything, so I had to do some side moves myself independently after giving an inventory list of the items that were going to be moved prior. So that was kind of an unexpected expense for me. Read more

Not a pleasant experience.

I don't think I would call it a pleasant experience. The estimate given to me was pretty bad, they said it was three hours, but when they came it took about 50 percent more time. They estimated about $400 but I ended up paying close to $800. Read more

They were amazing!

It was fabulous. Alex was amazing. they were really amazing. The only thing is whatever they quote you that's for the initial quote, and we didn't realize when you get the bill it's per supplies and boxes and so on, so it was additional money. I found out everyone does that, I just wasn't aware because I had never moved before. He was fabulous, I would recommend him highly. His men were amazing, they were quick, they were spotless, they took everything with them, I couldn't recommend anyone else. Read more

The movers were careful and quick, ...

They were very professional. The three guys that they sent were very good, they did a very good job, they were careful with all my stuff that had to be moved and they took it to where I needed it. I went to a storage facility (because my house isn't ready yet) and they very carefully packed it in there and they did it in a very short amount of time. I was very happy. Read more

They were on time. They worked hard. We had some bulky furniture that they tried to really get up the stairs and down the stairs. They would try multiple times. They offered assistance last minute, maybe packaging something that wasn't packaged correctly, helping us with tape and whatnot. They were friendly. Read more
