They were unreliable.

On them... they never did get back, really give me the date. I kept calling back waiting on the date for them to bring my furniture out. They gave me... they did give me two different dates, and I was waiting on them. They told me they would have them here on one, and then they called back and said it's going to be another date. BREATH OF FRESH AIR

Moving with Viking Van Lines LLC was a breath of fresh air. At first I got a call from an estimator named Mason 20 minutes after I submitted the request (incredibly fast if you ask me). The guy really knew what he was talking about, he took my detailed inventory list and asked all the right questions, he even reminded me about a myriad of items that I actually forgot I was taking (all fine and dandy 'till now). After some research I decided to book a move with them. When the guys showed up at my doorstep, they gave me a good vibe. Nice, hardworking and professional individuals. As promised by Mason, they took apart all of my furniture,packed it all using those moving pads that they have. My issue came when I told them to load my china cabinet into their truck. It had already been disassembled by me and packed by me (moved it a few years ago and kept it in storage). They looked at it and told me they couldn't load it because it was not properly packed. At first that sounded outrageous to me, I thought I packed it well enough (since I had already moved it once). They assured me that it was in fact improperly packed. After some discussion, I decided to let them unpack it for me and then pack it using their own materials. To my dismay, the packing job that I did wasn't in fact that good, the materials had deteriorated over time, so they were right to suspect something. After negotiating a fee for this, they went on to pack and load everything and drive away. As far as the delivery is concerned, they were relatively prompt (5 days). What surprised me the most about them is, funny enough, their dispatch department. They called me all-throughout my delivery to keep me updated, and to make sure that I was present for the delivery, when it happened. All in all, it was a good experience and a breath of fresh air. This company 100% failed all aspects ...

I put my move out for bid and received several estimates all different prices and Viking Van Lines was in the middle so I contacted them to give them info to more accurately bid my move. They came in at 1450.00 which seemed fair since it was about double the cost of renting a trailer and doing it myself. When they showed up to survey the house they claimed I told the estimator I had stackable washer dryer this increased my price, They claimed I told the estimator I had single unit three drawer dressers instead of the four and five drawer dressers this increased my price. They claimed the size of a medium box was much smaller then the ones I had packed this increased my price. They ripped one of the mattress covers I purchased and charged me 35 dollars for one this increased my price. Before they left paid 1,675.00 as the 60% to move my items 225.00 more than the whole estimate! I still owe them 525.00 at drop off, but wait that's not the best part! I was told they could do a direct ship and worst case 10 days to deliver so I'd have my stuff before Christmas. we are now going on 8 days and my things are still in a warehouse in Virginia I have called 3 times expressing my extreme discontent to deaf ears! this company lies to get your business then once they get it they abuse you. They were three hours late and labeled ...

In the beginning when they were looking for my business was fine. They gave me a window of when they were going to show up. They showed up approximately three hours outside of that window and I had to chase them down. When they finally did show up, it was two people. That seemed to go okay. Then it went downhill. After that, apparently, when they made the inventory sheets for our stuff, it's supposed to have a number for the labels and stickers. The stickers did not correspond in many cases. The item would say box but it would be an end table when we were unloading. On the unloading side, that's when it was kind of a disaster. Read more

Did a wonderful job
