Von Sydow moved us in August of last year. They were very professional from the time they came out to give us a quote to the very end when we were finally moved in. They carefully put down cardboard on the floors and all walkways in both our current house and the new house. Everything was wrapped with plastic wrap and blankets and nothing was damaged. They were fast, efficient and very organized. Moving is never easy, but they made the move much more bearable, we were surprised at how easy they made it on us. Cancelled at last minute

We signed a contract a month in advance to move our 4 bedroom, 2 car garage house. 10 days before the move, we called to ask a couple of questions and they said they had to cancel us. Since we were moving at the end of June, we had to scrabble to get another mover at a large premium, otherwise the contract on our house and one we were buying would be breached. When talking to the dispatcher for Von Sydow, he said, "At least you didn't find out the day of the move", but if we hadn't called them, I think that was their plan. The salesman, who happens to be the mayor of Palatine, never called to explain or apologize. In fact we never got an apology until I put a complaint in the BBB. The apology came with a threat to sent the lawyers after me if I didn't close the complaint. Real professional, huh? Read more
