The four guys who worked on our job (Steven, Kiwi, Derek, and David) were quick, careful and conscientious. In addition, they were extremely professional. Moving really isn’t fun, but these guys made it effortless and actually enjoyable. Also, they moved some HUGE pieces down stairs and didn’t mess up walls or furniture. Lost boxes, poor customer service

I hired this company to move me from Sacramento California to Dallas Texas. Once they arrive with my things 3 1/2 weeks later, I was missing over 20 boxes with the remaining boxes smashed and wet. When I called upset, all they said to me was file a claim. I will never be able to recuperate my losses. Please think twice before hiring this company!! Read more

Best money I ever spent on a move!

These guys did better than move my stuff they took care of my items like it was their own things. Furniture wrapped tv wrapped nothing broken everything accounted for and in perfect condition. Please book your move with west coast express. They made taking the list of my items easy they send me the estimate and set the date and time and showed up early to get everything done for me. This company has to be one of the best companies I have dealt with when it came to getting a quote and getting the job completed in a timely manner. The guy who gave me my estimate was professional and gave me an amount and that is what I paid at the end of the move. The crew that did the actual moving was on time, polite, and got my things gently loaded with care and unloaded the same way. Worst Experience Ever!!

Do NOT use West Coast Express moving company. An absolute nightmare! Their website claims transparent pricing and no hidden fees - ha (keep reading) and then thereâ??s the excellent customer service - yes to rope you in but when movers show up and they are a third party trucking company that you were never told about and say - oh no this is wrong price (they had my inventory list which ended up being even less of the heavy stuff) and it went from $1742 to $4378 and they were 3 hours past the arrival time and we were flying to new location 2 days later so we had no choice,so while all this was happening I kept calling and texting the guys with whom I made a contract with from West Coast Express - total silence. They were quite responsive when they wanted to make the deal and now - NEVER to be heard from - not exactly excellent customer service. And website claims trained professionalsâ?¦they wanted me to pay by Zelle to their PERSONAL account. Not very professional!! I was promised it would come in 6 days - it arrived in 14 days - not horrible BUT it was NOT my stuff so they had to come back the next day. One thing was damaged and Iâ??ve been emailing customer service and am getting absolutely nowhere. DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER THEM!!! Read more

Unfair business practice

My son was moving from a single apt in N Hollywood to Salem Oregon for a new job. I contacted several movers and told them the size of the move, when and where we were going. West Coast sent us paperwork to list all of the items and the number of boxes we were transporting, which we did. They gave us the estimate which was very good and told me it was because they had a load going up already so it would be cheaper than the others if we were flexible on the date. We were and after seeing the estimate we paid our deposit. When the mover arrived he immediately made us pay a $500 fee for shuttle which we had not agreed to. He said pay or we will not transport. Then he re-estimated the load. We had not added a single thing to the load. He agreed we had not but told us that it was more than they had estimated in sq. ft. and and the price was now triple the original estimate. Over $5000. I contacted the company and they said basically to bad. Yes we miscalculated but you either pay it or we will only take half of your load. The driver said he would put half of it in the street If we didn't pay for the whole thing. They had already loaded it. I feel this is a case of bait and switch and I will be taking them to court or arbitration. Do not trust their estimates, especially Randy Fox. They are either very bad at their job or start out with the intent of scamming you. I do not know which. Read more

I really liked the online estimating model that allowed me to take the time to list everything I wanted moved – down to the number of packed boxes I did myself. The day of the move the guys and truck arrived on time and worked non-stop until I was settled in my new condo. I have a “bed wall unit” that is a pain to move. It needed to be disassembled and put back together at the new place. It was clear they were used to doing this - what I was afraid would be a major problem was no issue for them. They took the time to ask me where I wanted the bigger pieces of furniture to go and were happy to move them around until I was happy with the placement.
