Worst ever

This was the worst moving company I have ever dealt with. They lost items (including irreplaceable art), they broke items, they were difficult to coordinate with. The list goes on and on. I considered taking a settlement for my lost and damaged items but the third party that was dealing with my case abruptly told me one day that they no longer handled cases for this company. I'm guessing they were inundated or the company went out of business because they had to reimburse so many people. I'm guessing they are no longer a company, but beware if your move gets contracted out to them! Read more

Terrible Experience

My move was subcontracted to A-Z Movers Inc. by Budget Van Lines and they were completely incompetent. They were late picking up my contents. They up charged $550 for additional packing. They up charged almost $700 due to the weight of my contents being greater than expected. Budget Van Lines did the estimate based on my complete inventory of the contents, so their estimation process is terribly inaccurate or they low ball on purpose. I was not made aware of the up charge until my contents were already loaded and in transit. The delivery was 10 days later than expected. They charged an additional $150 for a "long carry" at the destination. Almost every piece of furniture had at least minimal damage (dings) due to the careless handling of the movers. An armoire (probably the single most expensive piece of furniture I own) had a corner completely busted and is beyond repair. One bedroom chest of drawers had a bottom corner completely broken off. Multiple drawer supports inside multiple chests of drawers fell off due to the furniture being loaded and unloaded upside down and poor handling. All of the mattresses and box springs were wrapped in plastic and every one of them had holes torn in them with two of the mattresses receiving considerable damage. I could go on and on......Budget Van Lines and A-Z Movers Inc. were dishonest and frustrating to deal with all along the way. Multiple calls were never returned. At one point, they were not even able to determine the whereabouts of my contents. They are now offering my family $175 for the damages, but they require that we agree to remove any and all online negative reviews. I am passing on the offer, because it is more important for me to ensure that as few people as possible have to endure the frustration of being deceived by either of these companies. Read more

The movers told me 1 week

its been 21 days and we still don't have our stuff yet and I was told 1 week after we left I had to go buy stuff for our house and clothes for my kids because this company lied to me and WAY OVER CHARGED us. we are sleeping on air beds and let me tell you I miss my bed. I am so mad that I have to hold my tongue. Read more

NEVER hire this moving company!!!

Do yourself a favor and DO NOT hire these company. Everything that could possibly go wrong during my move, did. They were late 5 days to pick up my stuff, they damaged several items, lost the screws to put together the tables and furniture; I requested delivery of items from storage after a specific date, which i discussed with several people from the company by phone and email, and they decided to ship my things a week before the requested date, when i hadn't moved into my new place and had nowhere to put all the things, so the truck had to return and put things in storage again until the date i had originally requested. I guess on the process, they lost 7 boxes from my move, and up to this date, almost 3 weeks later, I haven't received them. When i call to ask about my 7 boxes and damaged items, nobody really takes responsibility for them. Just do your self a huge favor and go with a different company, if you don't want a constant headache, and if you don't want to lose your items. Read more
