Choosing Advantage Moving was the best decision I made for my move! They were professional, attentive, and efficient. Missing expensive items

We moved to a new location at end of July. Two trucks with our stuffs stayed over night at their storage facility. A lot of my household items went missing. The most valuable item that disappeared was my iRobot. I called the owner and asked him to return only the iRobot because it was a present which was very valuable to me. He returned my phone call and said that his workers would never steal anything. I never even accused them I just asked him to return my vacuum cleaner. He sent me a $75 check for the missing item. He reimbursed the cost of this item by weight! 0.60 per pound! How does he know how much it weights if he doesn’t have it! His workers asked us for the tip which we didn’t mind to pay. He asked $500! For this amount of money I was expecting at least to have my items safely delivered. Now the owner doesn’t return my phone calls and doesn’t respond to the emails. Poor quality of service. Never use them! You will end up paying much more then with different companies! I am regretting hiring them. I will notify the better business bureau. Don’t make my mistake!

Not recommended!

I am shocked to see there a good reviews on here. I would leave a 0 out of 5 stars if I could. The movers damaged multiple items in our home, including my daughter's crib. We got a check in the mail for a ridiculous amount. They just guessed the cost and weight of everything damaged when deciding on our claim refund. We've been contacting them for 2 weeks because we would at least like the crib covered but no one gets back to us. Save yourself the trouble and hire someone else!!

Sharif and his guys were great. Prompt, fast, and efficient. Helped take things apart and then helped to put together at the new condo. Didn’t leave until everything was done to our satisfaction. We will definitely use them again.

Satisifed Customer

Everything went perfect. They were on time. They were professional. They worked efficiently and carefully. They moved me in less time then I had imagined. I would definitely use them again. A shout out to Mikey and Sharif, thank you for putting everything where I wanted it.

It was good...

It was good, on time. There was some traffic in between and they got delayed, but they made it probably like half an hour late or something, but they were very courteous and it was good. Pricing was good that was another thing in which I took care of with them and it was very good.

Late and smokers

They were an hour and a half late. I am allergic to smoke. I requested a non-smoking team. They sent people they were smoking. The guys were nice and professional and hard-working. I wasn't happy that they were late and smokers.

I thought they were fine.

It was good. They got it done in the time they said they would. My move was under $400 which was great. I just moved down the block. They did talk about gratuity, which I thought was strange. I was going to tip them anyway. So to bring it up I thought was a little rude or pushy. Other than that I thought they were fine.

They were actually really helpful. They actually went overtime and they didn't charge me for it. So that was really cool.

Professional and quick

[Impressive qualities] The speed with which they moved... the stuff, and the professionalism. The pricing was good as compared with others because I checked with the quotes from a couple of of the other companies and then found this one to be a little bit reasonable... There was a little bit of bad weather that day so they called and said that they would not be able do it because of bad weather. But the bad weather cleared out and I just gave them a call to see if they can do it the same day... To my surprise they agreed to do it the same day. So despite the not so good weather, they did the move. Almost everything was fine. The only thing that was a problem was they did not assemble the bed entirely. They left one part of it unassembled so we have to assemble that.

The move was great and within ...

We have used Advantage Moving twice now, first from our move from Simsbury to Manchester and then again, just recently, from Machester to Bristol. There were no issues and everything moved smoothly. We have been satisfied with both of our services we have received from this company. The price was within the quote also.

Took a bit longer, but I was satisfied ...

They were on time. Both the guys were young and professional, very strong, they were able to do it.. it took a little longer than what they quoted, but still it was a fairly complicated move...They were able to get everything out and on time and to the new complex at a fairly decent time, so I was satisfied.

We were really pleased

They were very fast, they worked really hard and they didn't take any breaks. We were really impressed with the level of hard work they put in. They were very friendly. They beat all the other quotes, and they quoted us for a six hour move and they did it in three. We were really pleased with our whole experience with them.

It just worked out great

It went pretty good, the only issue was that my entertainment system was a little damaged. With the rest of everything the guys were polite, they were nice. Because I had needed it short notice, they were great they were here on time, it just worked out great. I did call for a couple different quotes but these guys were definitely the most reasonable and available, because it was also around the holiday weekend. I had a little bit of a timing issue but I had already known it was gonna be a little bit more. There wasn't any extra fuel charge, there was nothing else added on like that.

Good Move , Great Price

These movers were fine. They move with promptness and care. They stayed within minimum price range as we wanted and the move went fine. I believe because they have lower rates than others, that some of these bad reviews were placed by low budget customers that were trying to get services done that they were not willing to pay for. You get what you pay for, and what we got was GREAT. If you cant afford a moving company, do it yourself and dont complain about something you can afford. We had absolutley nothing but good things to say about this company

Excellently done

It was good. I liked their excellence. Their price was very reasonable, very good. I received all the services that I requested. If anybody moves I sure would recommend them. The crew was very professional, very lovely. They were also on-time.

Professional movers did good job

They were well; they talk too much but they were okay. They were professional and they did their work and we got everything done in a way what I wanted. What they quoted was not the price I paid more because they send an extra person which I didn't require. There was no damage. This company was good that we used but just make sure that movers don't have any conversation because that kills time.

It was an average move, but not great

It was a typical moving experience, and it was a local move. They promised us that three guys would come to my home to do the move. But only two guys came to my home, and they said that they would send a 17-foot truck but they sent only a 14-foot truck, which caused the move to take one extra hour. The worst quality of the move was that the guys tried to increase the time by dragging out the move. The only quality I liked in them was that they worked very neatly.

Great price

Much lower price than any other moving company. they were on time and worked without a break. Also other moving companies would have sent more equipment than needed such as to large a truck and have to pay for that.

Not good at all

The company owner, Greg lied to me by saying that they only charge one hour for transportation. They informed me it would be a seven-hour job and my townhouse was not near the curb so they had to walk, which was going to increase the cost. I agreed for three guys at $108 per hour with a 24-foot truck. The lead mover said they could do the job in seven hours including transportation. They charged two hours extra for transportation which I came to know after seeing the bill. I had reported them to the Better Business Bureau.
