They were very good. The one thing I can say is that it goes hourly, and you can only pay for so many movers there and it was extremely hot. So I didn't feel comfortable pushing them to rush in the 2 hours. So I dont know maybe they need to look into a different type of allotment of time instead of two hours maybe 3 hours. You know cause yo uneed to take a break. There is a human aspect to it. Some things are lighter and some things are heavier. They did a great job but we were moving, moving, moving. They had to take a break so instead of the moving company saying 2 hours maybethey should say 2- 3 hours estimate of so many pieces. That way the home owner and the mover doesn't feel like they have to pressure the movers to go quicker then they are able to and they don't have to feel the pressure I have to get it done. There is a flaw in that system ya know. They you know, have to take their time to take a break. I gave them some water, here relax. Because it is human nature, you want to do the best job you can but on the same token you need to take your time. In South Carolina it was very hot, it was extremely hot. Moving under normal temperatures is one thing and moving under extreme heat its two different levels in my personal opinion. Make it part of the process, Our movers will come every 10 minutes and then take a 5 minute break just so everyone is on the same page just so the home owners can feel like hey these are human beings they need to take a break If its above 70 or 80 or 90 degrees, more often. They did a great job, I am a very understanding person but if it was someone who was more of looking at the dollar and the minutes, tick tick tickI could see them getting over worked. Read more

I used this company as a third party vendor to a high end client. They under quoted me, which caused my company to lose money. They damaged the client's belongings, and were not willing to refund money to help rectify the situation. Read more

It wasn't too happy with it. First, they overcharged my credit card. They dinged up my washer on the dryer. I live on a second floor apartment. When you put something on a hand truck, you usually wrap a blanket around it. They didn't do that, and it dinged up my appliances. My card got refunded. I wouldn't use them again. Great Experience

I was nervous to use All My Sons because of the bad reviews but I must say that we had a great experience with them. We had a crew of 4 P(actually 5 were there) and a 26ft truck. They called when they were about 30 minutes away and worked steadily to load and unload the truck. There was no damage to our belongings. We have a 4 year old so I was especially pleased that they didn't cuss or talk inappropriately while they were working. One thing that I noted that wasn't quoted in the price was a % fuel charge. It wasn't an unreasonable charge but it also wasn't something we were told about before hand. We have moved about 12 times in the past 10 years and almost always done it ourselves. We are extremely glad that we used All My Sons for this and would recommend the Beaufort, Bluffton, Hilton Head team to others for sure! Read more

Misrepresentation

I was never told that the weight and price were based on 5000lbs. minimum when I talked to the President of the company over the telephone. In fact we talked about the fact that I probably had only 2500lbs. and that my shipment would be included with another one to reduce the price for me. The movers themselves were excellent but be careful of the estimates. As you can see I ended up paying a thousand dollars over my estimate because otherwise they would have not unloaded the truck and taken my daughters posessions. Read more

The time frame was confusing and my ...

It was okay. I didn't know exactly when they were coming. There was like a 5 or 6 day window when they were gonna come, and that was little unclear. So I had to work around work so that was a little confusing. I thought that my stuff was gonna be like 3 or 4 weeks until they would come but they ended up coming within a week. My stuff was kind of a wreck actually. So it seemed like some of the stuff was in shambles and I have a broken desk. They said it would be 3 to 4 weeks before I get a claims form. Why so long? Bait and Switch

Called to move two bedrooms. Was told be two hours max. Took them 4, for two bedrooms. 517 dollars to move 2 bedrooms 3 city blocks. You do the math. Bryan Gleeson the dispatcher is the rudest cunt ever, told me they were at my house when they were at a totally different job, then proceeded to tell me it was the drivers fault, drivers told me he (Bryan) sent them on the other job 1st. 830am-930am was when they were supposed to show up, they pulled up at 1:15 Again was told it would be 2 hrs max, probably less, then I'm charged 140 dollars just for them to show up and a 3 hour minimum of labor charge, then the little fucker Bryan tried to charge us an additional 2 hours out of thin freaking air, saying job would be done at 615.....615pm 5 hours for 2 bedrooms, they then hold your stuff hostage till you pay. If you want to get scammed use them, or use a credit card to dispute and cancel the payment with your credit card company due to shady business practices. Would have been easier to hire 3 homeless men and a U-haul, and a shirt ton cheaper. Read more

Excellent Move

We have moved alot but never with our children who are now 1 and 3. Needless to say we were very stressed out but they held our hand and communicated very effectively and most importantly had my wife at ease. They helped us pack and the guys were nice, polite, in uniform, and joked and had fun while they worked their tails off. They called to check in with us to make sure their guys were exceeding expectations and they certainly did. It was a 2 day move with the packing etc. but it was one of our easiest moves ever...and I have moved over 20 times. Keep up the great work! Read more

More than they estimated, but a good ...

They were late, but they were good. They were very careful with my things as well. However, we paid for a lot more hours than they estimated. But I would recommend them to my friends and family and I would tell that they do good work, just be careful with the hours. Their only problem was that they had a scheduling issue. They an emergency and the person in charge had to leave town and the person who filled in didn't know about our appointment, so we went from having a morning appointment to not moving until about 6:00. There were eight people who were working on my move. It was chaos. They didn't pack things appropriately. They left things in drawers. One of the pieces of furniture got damaged. The truck broke down in the middle of the road. All my stuff was transported to another truck. In transit I think they lost two of my items. They broke three pieces of my furniture, scratched up other pieces of my furniture and stole one of the pieces of furniture which has never been returned to me. I would not use this moving company as they damaged my carpet and damaged my hardwood floor by not covering them properly and made a couple of holes in my furniture. However, I will say that the workers were professional, awesome and quick to get the packing done. Also, the price was reasonable. Three workers came to help me and when I tried to negotiate with them about the restoration of my things, I was told to pay extra money and that I have to take care of my things, which I was not very pleased about. Lost Jewelry and Ignored My Claim

Several pieces of jewelry we wear every day, like our wedding bands, gold cross necklaces (my husband also had a special medalian on his) were supposedly packed by XXX. We noticed them missing the next morning when we were getting to leave for our new home. We immediately called AMSM&S and spoke with the manager XXXX. He was very helpful and told us he would find out about it. He called us back shortly after and said XXX "threw them in the bottom of a wardrobe box" - really? When everything is packed with care, this is what they do to expensive, fragile items? These were not supposed to be packed. In the early start of the moving day and in all the confusion of the day, we never put them on and no one asked us if we wanted them packed. My husband's jewelry was on the bathroom sink, not in anyone's way! Mine was on my dresser. I had all my other jewelry packed to go with us except these which we wear every day. To make a long story short, when my shipment arrived I immediately started to unpack every wardrobe box as they were brought in. Nothing. I submitted a claim and received a check for $6.00! We had selected 'replacement value coverage' for our shipment because we had several antiques in our shipment. I appealed the claim, did everything they asked me to do (which was no easy task) and have only gotten the runaround since. Now they don't even respond to my messages or the BBB! We had 2 guys and a truck that moved 4 rooms of heavy furniture plus washer and dryer across town. AND they had to move from a house on stilts. They were quick and efficient and pleasant. Awesome Move

Dear Eric, I just wanted you to know how well my move from Saint Simons Island, GA, and Jewell, GA, up to Athens, GA, went. And that was entirely because of Jesus and Danny, the crew you sent. You need to know how carefully and efficiently they work. We had some very heavy pieces (including a buffet measuring more than 13 feet in length!) and some delicate Victorian antiques. They handled them carefully, and wrapped them and placed them securely. We have some original works of art (sculpture and paintings): they took great care of these as well. I also noticed that they were careful not to track any dirt into any of the 3 houses they worked in. They also did not put down any food or beverages in our houses because they were too shy to ask for coasters and they didn't want to risk marring any surface. They represented your company extremely well: they spoke highly of you and your administrative staff. They demonstrated a knowledge of furniture, curiosity about new pieces, and appreciation for the pieces they moved. I've taught at a university level for years and met a lot of folks their age. I practiced medicine for 20 years and saw how important it was for my employees, who actually met the patients before I did, to represent me and the practice appropriately. And I consulted with hospitals and group practices for 15 years, trying to get administrations and physicians to work together. Martha Edwards, who owns the house in Jewell, managed the southeast US sales force for several publishing companies. We know what it means to have great people working with you, and we've all seen what happens when you don't. Jesus and Danny impressed Martha and me, and that means that when Martha sells her house in Jewell and needs the rest of her things moved up to Athens, yours will be the first number we call.
