Failure to apply Refund to my Credit ...
My husband scheduled a move with this company from Palm City to Miami, Florida. First time the movers did not show up as planned and my husband wasted 4 hours traveling to and from Palm City to meet with the movers who never showed up. We had to reschedule. Fine, I can understand that mistakes happen. Second time, the movers show up as planned. When they arrive in Miami with the truck and all our belongings, we are told that they need to "pre-charge" our credit card for the 3 hours they estimate it will take to unload the truck, or they will not begin to unload the truck. Prior to giving them my credit card, we had the manager of the store, PAUL RIVERA, confirm that any unused portion of the time charged would be refunded to our credit card. It took the movers only 2 hours to unload the truck. The movers immediately called PAUL RIVERA upon completion and notified him that they were done. My husband also spoke with PAUL RIVERA and requested reimbursement for the unused hour, which he indicated would be posted back to our credit card. We waited 10 days and no refund was issued. My husband and I then tried several times over the next month to contact PAUL RIVERA to have the refund issued. He would either remain entirely unresponsive to our emails, ignore our phone calls and messages, or when he did have the decency to answer the phone, he would give us the run around, lie about the fact that he'd "look into it" and then never get back to us. To date, we have not received the reimbursement of $159 / 1hour that is due and owing on the credit card. When I contacted the corporate offices to inform them of the situation, they said there was nothing they could do and immediately referred me back to the branch manager who, of course, has been useless in getting this issue resolved. I never would have expected such unprofessional conduct from such a large company. Whatever you do, DON'T LET THEM PRE-CHARGE YOUR CREDIT CARD!! They will steal your money!!
