Worst Moving Company Ever!!! Run! Run! ...

All My Sons moving is the worst moving company I have ever had the extreme displeasure of dealing with! I called a few different moving companies for quotes but did not have time to sufficiently research my moving company choices since I closed so quickly on my home and needed to move asap. They reeled me in with exquisite customer service on the phone during the quoting process. The VP, Tristan, even called and left a voicemail to follow up and be sure everything was going well which was super thoughtful, professional, courteous, and all the good things one would expect from an upstanding company. On the day of the move, the truck with three men in it, arrived at 8:15AM. They moved incredibly slowly from the beginning. I asked the driver if he was in charge and he replied with a very questionable "yes." I then asked the driver if his two workers would be joining us as they seemed to be delayed by the truck for some unknown reason but he said he "didn't know." I would have fired them right there on the spot if not for the extenuating circumstances I was needing to escape from at the apartments I used to reside in. I went with the lesser of the two evils but I never imagined that the devil's horns could get to be so long and pointy. The three of them moved at a glacial pace and finally made their way into my apartment (empty handed), with me a good 20 steps ahead of them. They began looking around as if they were lost. I began to take charge and show them around and explain what all they needed to accomplish which would be to pack all furniture, clothing, and to take every item out of the cabinets/drawers, and to place said items into boxes for the purpose of moving. I found this to be quite aggravating due to the fact that I had already gone over all of this in great detail over the phone during the quotation process and these guys were looking at me like I was speaking some unknown language to them. They opened the first cabinet and saw that I owned several wine glasses and other general drinking glasses. They gasped as though they had seen an alien fly out of the abyss and then stated that this move would for sure take 4-5 hours. I then asked the "supervisor" if this was in fact their occupation and if they had indeed moved anything for anyone a day in their lives before. I also asked how they could surmise the length of this move based solely upon one cabinet full of glassware. There was no response. I checked the time and noticed that it had been 30 minutes since these guys had arrived and there was not yet one item loaded onto the truck. I departed from the apartment and called into All My Sons to complain about this debacle. I spoke with Jonathan who acted like this behavior was so out of the ordinary for these guys and seemed to be completely taken aback that he would receive such a negative report on them. Worst Experience Ever!

I have dealt with hundreds of vendors in my lifetime, but this is the absolute worst. It began the day of my move when I had to call All My Sons to check on estimated time of arrival since they were scheduled to be at my 1 bedroom apartment by noon and it was nearly 12:30 and I was then told that my move was NOT going to happen that day since they had a truck down. This is very unprofessional. They did not provide sufficient communication. I was furious. They later called me back to tell me a truck with two movers would be coming to proceed with my move. I had everything packed, wrapped and ready to load in the truck. It wasn't until after my items were loaded in my pod is when I finally saw the paperwork for signature. I told the driver that I would not sign since this was incorrect and he called the manager / office. He assured me that it would be taken care of with a follow-up call to discuss. The movers were done and the driver had been complaining about not getting paid so I signed and called the following business day. This company did not provide the quoted services, displayed false advertisement and damaged several items with pieces missing. I filed a claim and was denied. TRAUMA

I got an estimate and 4 guys showed up. Immediately doubled eat and told me could not move me that day. Packed all day supposed to return for move next day at 8:00 am. Called at noon. Can't come, maybe in a few days! From changes to just about everything sales told me,the the guys saying 'we don't do that' from day before I told them I was letting them go. I had paid them $900 for the awful, damaging, worthless packing on day 1 because I felt coerced. No list of materials given.Got another mover to do actual,move and they were terrific. AMS shattered antique game table by stacking too much on it and damaged wall on the packing day too. As. I. Unpacked over several,months i, found,many pieces of jewelry missing as well as my sterling silver. They rifled through my drawers Looking for items. Threy also had unpacked Boxes i,had packed looking for valuables. HUGE financial loss, worst personal loss. How do you get lower than stealing my late husbsnd's wedding,ring,nand , my mother's and,grandmothers engagement ring I had made? Was advised by council,not to report bc had no,evidence To prosecute and, possible repercussion on me. If,can't prosecute or recover items '- things probably hocked day after they came - why risk. worst move of my life

I paid over $1,000 for them to move me with one truck In Baton Rouge they did not fill up the truck all the way up to the top and they did not fill it all the way to the back.. I told them to put my most biggest things first on there and leave the boxes if they cannot fit boxes because I don't have a truck and I cannot haul the big stuff, guess what they did? They put the boxes on first and then I had to go get 2 more trucks after they left! They was taking smoke breaks on my time throwing cigarette butts in my yard very unprofessional! I will never hire them again ever and I do have to move as soon as I buy a home within the next couple years but I will search and do my reviews on every company before ever using a moving company again!! They didn't even discount me when I told the boss about the things that they were doing, they went to my house after I was gone because they forgot a tool bag and let my dog out and my dog was running the streets and could have got killed ...I spoke with them 6 days prior they asked me everything I had in my home they told me I would need 1 truck and 2 guys it would cost between $700-900 ..1 day before the move they called back asked the same questions and now it was double two trucks 5 men $1,700 I didn't but they did the worst job ever and I'll never use them again Read more

They stole from me! I would never ...

They stole from me. They stole a ring and I didn't report it to the moving company but I had their phone number and I called them. I told them if you do not return my ring I'm going to report you to the police. They brought the ring back later, about four days later. It was not good at all. Not only that, but they damaged my walls. My brand new house, they messed up the paint and they damaged my walls. It was a horrible experience. Read more

Horrible experience. The only good thing was the movers were nice and professional. Bad things are they were 1-1/2 hours later than Patrick stated they would be. OVERCHARGED almost twice as much as quoted. Was told the rate was an hourly rate. They failed to mention that there is also the same flat rate to load and unload the truck. They estimated the finish time and finished 40 minutes early. Think I will ever see a refund? Not holding my breath. Called the office to discuss the fee and received an apology for the delay. Made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside...not! Find someone else, anyone else to do your moving. Read more

I wouldn't refer them to anybody

I had asked them over the phone if they had insurance, and they said they were fully insured, and when I asked about it when they got there, they told me they only covered $0.60 per 100 pounds. So basically if an item weighed 1,000 pounds and they damaged it, they would only comp us $60. I started not to use them but they had me in a jam, we already made the arrangements. I told them I'd rather them take their time, they were charging me $119 an hour I'll pay a little extra, and pay an extra hour or so than have them rush through it and damage the furniture. They dropped the refrigerator, that was for starters I didn't bother making a claim because it was such a [hassle] dealing with them. Don't use !

This is a rip off- very nice from the start- don't explain the real cost- surprise you with double the price . The manager Johnathan was rude and arrogant! If u refuse to pay they send your items to a warehouse (I was told) and charge for storage! Never again- I ignored the bad reviews and shouldn't have! I even asked one of the employees about the bad reviews and he assured me it was different since he was there! TERRIBLE on the back end but the actual movers were hard workers ! Read more

Highly disappointing experience

I wasn't happy with them. Actually I am in the middle of moving some other stuff myself but I wasn't too happy with them. They moved a variety of pieces but the two guys they sent, they didn't wrap anything or anything like that. They were not professional movers. They just looked like they were kind of like some fly by night guys that they send in there. One of the pieces - I have a bow front credenza, I paid about $30,000 for. You can't physically see it on the front of the credenza but when they loaded it up on the back, the cross stripes on the bottom of the credenza are chipped out and you can see where the wood has been damaged because of how they loaded it up on two little four wheel platforms and they loaded it poorly. So I already signed of on it. I am not interested in pursuing anything necessarily. I had no intention of using them again. No I haven't spoken to their customer service. I just discovered it. The price was comparable. After I had that experience, I ended up using Two Men and a Truck. They were actually far superior to move the rest of the stuff when I needed them to. They moved rest of everything. It was far superior. The experience was much better. My advice to future customers is don't use the company. Read more
