Would NOT Recommend
I will start this review off by saying this is the most unprofessional company I have ever had the displeasure of working with. The manager of this company, Mike, is incredibly rude, unprofessional, abrasive, and difficult to work with and I honestly do not know how he still has a job here after looking into the other awful reviews about him, which says something about the company as a whole. We had originally set up a time with the corporate office and provided in detail how much stuff that we had and received a quote for $500-600. A few days before the move, I got a call from Mike from the field office to confirm the details of the move and was told between 8-9AM. The day before the move, I called the office to confirm the time with Mike and again, we confirmed between 8-9AM. By 10:30, nobody had showed up and my fiancé had called and mentioned that we were told between 8-9AM. Mike lied and told her that he never said that and what he had instead said was “around 11AM”. By 11:30 nobody had showed up, and I personally called and mentioned the original 8-9AM window, to which Mike then became combative, rude, and defensive before finally admitting he had indeed said 8-9AM in the first place but attributed that to “human error” and the movers would not be there until around 1PM. The movers did not end up coming until well after 3PM. This was inconvenient for us because the building we were moving into did not allow moves after 4PM. I understand the nature of a “human error”, but to provide 2 other false times only for the movers to show up 6 hours late is simply unacceptable. On top of that, the movers told us that the move would cost well over $1500, which is an incredible jump from the original $500-600 quote. We ended up cancelling because we wouldn’t have been able to move into our new building after 4PM anyways, to which we were then told by the mover that we would get our $100 deposit back. One week later, we still did not see that refund, so we called customer service at the corporate office who then transferred us to Mike. When we mentioned that the movers told us we would get our deposit back, he said that the movers didn’t have any authority over that and that he himself would “certainly never refund the deposit”, even after the incredible inconvenience this company has caused us. I then hung up and called the corporate customer service office again and was told that they had no authority over our refund either and we would ultimately have to go through Mike. It’s ridiculous that the corporate office has no authority over something like this, which truly says something about the company itself if someone as unprofessional as Mike is still allowed to work here. I am highly disappointed and will be highly recommending anybody that is considering this company to AVOID AT ALL COSTS. You’re better off finding literally any other company.
