Don't Do It

My situation was stressful and rushed because I had to move from a 1 bedroom to a 2 bedroom with very little notice. I had to move my sick grandmother from Memphis to Knoxville and we had to be out of my 1 bedroom very quickly. I chose this company because it was fairly close to my home and when I spoke to the scheduler, she told me they could move me on Saturday, which is what I requested. A few hours later I got a phone call from the owner asking to change the move to Sunday. At this point I had already paid a deposit and I figured it was too late to find anyone else so I said yes. I was told that the fee would be $149 per hour and I thought that would be fine. I figured $300 at most. On Saturday I received another phone call from the owner concerning the weather. It might snow so he let me know that his people would probably be late coming in which is understandable, if the weather is bad. He said they usually start at 7:30 but probably wouldn't start until 9:00 am. Well, it didn't snow and they didn't show up until 10:00 am. I called to confirm that they were on the way and he said they had just left and would be about 15 minutes. Which brings me to another point, the $149 for driving time. I understand the fuel charge but why is this drive time so expensive? If the company is 15 minutes from my house AND I'm moving from apartment building 1 to apartment building 3 in the same complex, I think this is a little excessive. I was also shocked at the cost of the packing materials. I was charged for a mattress cover that I did not use and $25 to shrink wrap my couches. The movers were nice, friendly, and efficient. They moved everything in 2 hours and I'm thankful for that because I couldn't have afforded anything more than that. I was just really disappointed in the price. My total came to almost $600 to move a 1 bedroom/1 bath apartment. I packed everything myself. I can't imagine what it would cost to move anything bigger. This company is definitely not for regular income people.

They told lies, and they overcharged.

They quoted 3 people to move a 3 bedroom house. 2 people showed up a 1 bedroom house because I already moved because I started already. They charged me the same price. I am trying to get a refund, but have not gotten one yet. I would say look somewhere else.

Worse moving company ever

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I WISH I COULD GIVE ZERO OR BETTER MINUS. NEVER HIRE ALL MY SONS MOVING. THEY ARE LIARS. All my sons are scammers who do not fulfill their commitment,unreliable,rip off and very non professional. Any one who want to pay right for the job should NOT use ALL MY SONS MOVING. I called and asked for estimate. They didn't have anyone to come and do in house survey. I told them exact furniture that I needed to move. $124 three men and a truck crew. I was told that the crew is highly trained and this shouldn't take more then 6-7 hours loading and unloading total. I moved from a condo (4bed) to private house locally. My move was the biggest move for the crew who came in. Two of the crew members fell during loading and unloading. Took 8 hours to load and more the. 4 to unload. The crew was pleasant but after 9-10 hours of work the manners were fluctuating (no big complaint). They were tired and the work took an extra 90 minutes to finish. During the move the broke a piece of my wooden floor. The manager of the company on phone promised to get fixed first thing on Monday (move was on Sat). I called them somewhere Wednesday to ask about that when I was told that the manager wasn't available to talk and he will call me back. I have yet to hear from him. Interestingly I have used Goufon before with satisfaction. They gave me a written quote of $1750 all inclusive but as mentioned above All my sons estimated 7-8 hours of work so I thought that it will be cheap to go with them. I ended up paying more then $2200 for the move I had a legal written quote for $1750. In short if you are stupid and wouldn't learn from others experience go ahead and use them.

They took less time than I thought ...

Professional, very professional. And they did it in a timely manner.

They were late and weren't ...

We did not like them and we won't use them again. They were late to the job. They didn't completely finish the job. We ended up needing to finish it. They just weren't professional at all.

They increased the price on me three ...

They increased the price three times on me and finally I told them I wasn't gonna pay them over a certain amount. They accepted that, in fact they refunded money. And the movers were getting a little testy toward the end.

Misled and bamboozled

My husband arranged our move several weeks in advance and received a price quote. We let the movers know in several conversations that our driveway, in the Smoky Mountains, was VERY steep and they would not be able to fit a large truck. They assured us they had it under control. Of course they show up on moving day with a 26ft truck that would not make it up our driveway. Long store short, my husband had to ferry over a dozen loads with our minivan from their truck, up our driveway. They charged us 3 times the original quoted price because of overtime! Even though we told them previously this truck would not work and they insisted it would. We called the office to mediate the charges and their answer was tough luck. Not to mention my husband's back was killing him from all of the heavy lifting. He did a ton of work himself eventhough we had 4 young men movers and paying 3x times the original price. I would highly advise AGAINST using All My Sons. They are rip-off artists. On top of that the movers were not careful, even placing our antique wood furniture on the bare asphalt to maneuver it. Many of the pieces were not wrapped. Bottom line, they were terrible from management to the movers. One thing I can say is that the movers were polite.

we were quoted one price then told it would be $300 cheaper if we gott to destination earlyso we did waited all day for truck which we were told broke down finally got to destination and started to unload and we were told the price was the same as orignal no no no mover called office and they said they never said price would be less than original quote they are liars do not use them unless you want to get ripped off

RIP OFF ALERT!!!!

RIP OFF ALERT!!!! Do not use this moving company unless you want to be ripped off. We moved from a 3 bedroom ranch style house 1200 sf into another house very similar and were told to expect an average of 4 hours of moving time for our size home and one hour of "commute time" at $119 an hour. What they didn't mention is that they would wrap all of our furniture at $5 per roll. The movers were on their cell phones, at one point got into a cursing match in my kitchen and out of the 3 men only one was working at a hard quick pace. The icing on the cake was that one we pulled into the driveway of the new house the movers demanded payment before they would unload or "we are leaving with your stuff". At this point they tacked on a 12% fuel charge which they had NEVER mentioned in the estimate $30 in tape and estimated the time it would take to unload to a grand total of $871. Now keep in mind that 2 years prior Two Men and a Truck had moved the exact same items from a larger 4 story house into this smaller one for a total of $571!!!! To top it off as they were moving furniture into the house they hit the corner of the wall knocking dry wall and paint off so now I have to repair the wall. I am so very disgusted with their dishonesty and lack of professionalism. PLEASE BEWARE BEFORE USING THIS COMPANY!!! Where is Don Dare when I need him!

Perfect!

It was perfect. The two guys that showed up were funny, efficient they got the job done. They kept us entertained and they did exactly what we wanted them to do and we may call them again sometime.

ALL MY SONS ARE FRAUDS and THUGS

The entire exposure was traumatic to me, my wife and daughter. To protect any parties that would consider All My Sons, I posted my story on several responsible sites warning of the dangers of their business tactics. They also increased the quote over 100% and would not unload until I paid CASH-ONLY! Additionally. I sent the District Attorney’s office my concerns of racketeering. I received an email from the company’s Public Relations Officer offering to “earn back my trust.” They then offered to reimburse my cost of moving and I was agreeable until I read their Non-Disclosure and retraction agreement. Basically, they offered no remedy or actions to stop their fraud and intimidation, but only attempt to “Buy My Silence.”

DO not use

Would not recommend the company. Furniture was damaged and broken. Worker stole medication. Was over charged and promised refund in which I had to follow through with over 3 weeks later. One year later still not settled claim for damages. Was told by one on the team the one mover had been accused of stealing already. Furniture was turned on side and slid across house without a mat on bare hardwood and then broke entire corner off and never said anything. Definitely would not recommend or use the company for anything.

I was very very pleased with them

The drivers were very courteous, and of the course the movers were the same as the drivers, they showed up promptly, and they were very concerned and caring, and handled everything with care, and I was very very pleased with them, very pleased. The pricing was about the same but they were actually the most consistent, their follow ups were more so than the other companies. I would recommend them to my friends and family.

Beware-

They charge double what they quote you. The owner is unprofessional and rude. I would not recommend this moving company to anyone. A move and storage for 5 months cost $1700- queen bed, dresser, sofa, 2 chairs, end table, cooler and 2 boxes cost me. This should have cost about $750.00 Get everything in writing with the total with taxes, fuel charges etc. before you choose your moving company.

It was an average move

It was good. They were prompt and they were quick. It was reasonable priced. There were extra charges that I wasn't aware of. Packing wasn't done to my expectations. Yes I have received all the services that I have requested. I guess they are highly recommended.

Very well satisfied

It was a short move distance wise but the movers were very methodical They arrived on time and did a good job. They packed everything systematically and delivered the things on time. The movers were very sensible in exercising caution while loading and unloading my belongings. I am very satisfied with their services and the price is almost similar to what they quoted.
