Beware of deceptive practices

One of the movers was on the phone the whole time and I had to help the other move furniture while he was on the phone. He also did not properly wear a mask or social distance. After the move the driver of the truck apparently threatened the other mover’s life and he had to call a ride as the driver left him. Never use this company unless you enjoy over paying and horrible customer service. Contacted the company and they are not interested in helping customers in any way.

Avoid at all costs!!

Completely disorganized and unprofessional organization. I booked a whole week in advance and paid a deposit. Booked a specific time in the morning and was promised that time. Also was promised a set rate. A few days later, I'm being told no one has record of my deposit (even though I sent them a screenshot it being pulled from my account), the price is more than I was told and the time slot I was promised is not available. All this TWO DAYS before my move. It's extremely difficult to book a professional move that close to the move date. These guys didn't care an iota. Save yourselves the headache and trouble and book elsewhere, please! I wish I read the reviews here beforehand.

Terrible experience

We had a horrible experience with All My Sons. I have been waiting for the owner’s response to our concerns and having just received them I am compelled to share our terrible experience, in case it spares someone else something like this. The response was shockingly inadequate given the degree of inconvenience, and poor service, and concern for a theft of valuable belongings. At first we were pleased. They seemed so professional, had a brochure highlighting the care they take with your items, made some suggestions for things to move ourselves to save some money. They packed quickly on packing day and ended early, with several items unpacked that they assured me would be easily packed the following morning before loading. Unfortunately, everything was downhill from there. They ran very late on moving day. They arrived when they said they would, shortly after 9a. However, it took a very long time to load, in part because they lost 2 guys on the day. We have young kids, and were expecting them much sooner. They started loading around 10a, didn’t even get to the new house until after 5p, and as time crawled on, and our young children (3 under 3yo) were more an more dysregulated (no naps since they had no beds), we finally asked them to finish unloading into garage and thus many items had to be moved ourselves the next day into the correct rooms. Several boxes were placed in the wrong rooms. We had to assemble our kids’ beds ourselves because of the late hour. Our sons bedroom essentials which we were told would be loaded last so as to be unloaded first, were buried in the trucks, and no one could tell me where they were. Several items were damaged and missing, including some valuable jewelry for which we filed a police report. Come to find out, that two *full* bathrooms including the master bath were unpacked and unmoved, as well as numerous other miscellaneous items like rugs, lamps, candles, kids’ toys... simply left behind. We had to make four trips to get all of this ourselves. They drove over our lawn and left huge tire marks that will need repair. Shelves are missing from night tables. Couches and walls stained. Scratches in wooden bedroom set. The foreman asked for cash tips. We let the owner know, and just received a response today, nearly two weeks since we raised our concerns. The response was mostly defensive, and didn't address several of our concerns, including the theft. All of this and they were 2k more expensive than Trosa! If we had been able to delay the move a bit we would have gone with Trosa. We have had big professional moves before, and previously had a great experience. This was one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. I can only hope our homeowners insurance will allow my father to replace the special earrings he bought for me so many years ago. I guess because there is really nothing anyone can do for recourse after such a bad experience with a move, they don't care that much.

Excellent!

We had an excellent experience with All My Sons! Clay was very professional when he came out to give us a quote and came in under the other two quotes we received! Chris and his crew were there for both the packing up and unpacking of our stuff and they were very polite and professional! We moved a three bedroom house and there was no major damage that occurred. There was some initial frustration with communication and arrival time but it wasn't a deal breaker. We would definitely recommend them!

They were really, very professional.

They were really, very professional they did a great job. the Timeline they gave us, they were right on the time they said. very minimal things were damaged in the time of the move but overall it was a great experience.

All the furniture was safe.

They were within 30 minutes on time, they did have an accident with the truck on the way up so they needed to deliver the next day but all the furniture was safe and delivered the next day on time.

Got me moved the way I wanted

It was alright, I had some issues with the dispatch at first but they did a good job and they got me moved the way I wanted to.

They care about their customers

My appointment was at 9am and the workers arrived as scheduled. They were very polite and courteous. All items were disassembled and wrapped,then unwrapped and reassembled. I would like to thank the workers Jose and Edward,you two were awesome. I would also like to thank the owner Kenon for contacting me to make sure I was happy and fully satisfied. If you're moving any time soon or even in the future,make sure you call All My Sons!!

It was good

It was good. They let me know what time they would be there. Then they called me to let me know it got pushed back a little bit and they were there on time and they stayed the whole time. They got everything moved.

Friendly quick crew

I am very pleased with this move. The crew I got was Brian, Sterling and Walter. They showed up within the time quoted (and even offered an apology for being late, which they weren't), we went over inventory while they started packing (i.e they didn't waste time doing one thing at a time which some movers have in the past), they were friendly and professional. They didn't try to nickel and dime me. I had mentioned that I had a 2:00 conference call that I'd really like to be done prior to that call, and they made it happen. I've been through many moves, and this by, far, has been the easiest and quickest move. Of course, I was better prepared as well. I think treating them with the same respect as I wanted to be treated went a long way. I haven't checked everything that was moved yet, but as far as I can tell, it was a worry free, stress free, quick, and easy move. Thanks guys!

It was very good except for one bad ...

It was good, it was very professional. There was just one bad thing. The move from our old house to our new house took a lot longer than it was supposed to due to staffing issues, but I would probably still use them again.

They worked hard, got the job done and ...

It was fine. The guys were professional, they were mindful of all of our things - not damaging them. And they worked hard, they were hard-working, they weren't slacking. They came in got the job done and got out of there.

Worst Moving Experience-30+ damaged ...

My husband and I have moved many times, including several international moves, and this was by far the worst experience we have ever had. All My Sons sent an inadequate number of movers for the job, grossly underestimated the time needed, spent 22 hours instead of the scheduled 9 hours to pack and load our belongings, broke or damaged over 30 items during the move, and lost at least 3 separate boxes containing clothing, books, and pantry items. When we first met with the company, the move-out job was estimated to take 9 hours, and I specifically asked whether that included both packing AND loading the truck, and whether we needed to set aside 2 days. I was told that the 9 hours was for both packing and loading. On our move-out day, a crew of 3 movers showed up and began packing. It soon became clear that they were behind schedule, and they started calling the office to request more movers. My husband also called, but we were told that there were no more movers available. The original crew kept packing throughout the night, and the job was not completed until the following morning, almost 22 hours after they had begun. This meant that many of our items were packed extremely poorly, in some cases literally thrown into boxes with no packing paper or packing materials of any kind. After 6 days of storing our items, All My Sons came to our new home to unload our belongings and reassemble our furniture. They did send more movers this time, but as our furniture was brought in, we noticed fresh scrapes and scratches on a number of pieces. Several bookshelves were cracked and broken. As we opened boxes and began unpacking, we found many broken items, including a number of irreplaceable items that we had either received as wedding gifts or acquired together overseas. We had over 30 items damaged, with massive evidence of incompetent packing. Many items, including an expensive printer and a small TV, were packed with no paper or wrapping of any kind. Most inexplicable is the fact that at least 3 separate boxes were either lost of stolen--containing clothing (including several pairs of expensive designer jeans), an entire bookshelf's worth of children's books, and a box of items from our pantry. When we called to ask about the missing items, we were told that they have no explanation for where they might be or how they could have disappeared. For this move, we went with the standard basic insurance coverage, thinking that our belongings should be safe considering the fact that we were moving only a few miles away and storing our items for only a few days. Now that so many of our items have been damaged or lost/stolen, we will need to submit a claim to recover a little bit of the expense of repairing and replacing our belongings. The maximum we can get is 60 cents per pound of damaged/missing items. In conclusion, our experience with All My Sons Moving

I believe the individuals that were sent over were highly-motivated, no complaints. They knew what they were doing. They were very coordinated, efficient, and everything was done without complaints or any problems.

I was charged more than twice as much ...

The move was fine, what was very disconcerting was what I had to pay in regards to what I was quoted. It was more than twice the amount. So I will not be using that moving company again ... The lowest [quote] was $198 and he said it could go up to $298 depending on the time and I paid over $600 and then I felt compelled to give a tip because I was asked by the movers to give them a tip. I think that should be my choice and not theirs.

Work was very efficient, very well done

It went pretty good. It was very fast, efficient, and the people there were very polite. I will say that they were all Hispanic, they couldn't speak very good English. Work was very efficient, very well done. Everything was secured very well, they took the consideration to do floors and all that stuff, so they covered everything very well. They did a great job, I have no complaints. No [they didn't pack] I actually had my boxes already packed up, they did a lot of wrapping of breakable furniture, some glass and stuff like that. They did wrap some stuff but not everything. [There was no damage] not that I was aware of. Yes they did [give me a price quote and] it was [what I paid in the end]. We did have a little problem over the tip which I thought was little unusual for them to come on out and tell me what they expect in a tip. I thought that was a bit maybe unprofessional is the word for that.

They were fast

Well it was kind of chaotic. They showed up an hour early and I had been at work and I didn't have everything packed. So they did help me pack up stuff. It was a situation where I needed to get everything done as fast as possible and they did do that. Nope, nothing was damaged. They were very friendly, very helpful, and they were fast. They told me how much it was gonna be for the first hour and in increments of 15 minutes. It took so long, I was not expecting a $600 bill but I mean it did take 4 and half hours.

Took care of everything

It went great. They came and took care of everything and there were no problems. The movers were great and very polite. There was furniture in my garage that had been moved from rooms because I was getting the floors refinished.

I had a wonderful experience and ...

It was wonderful, I couldn't have asked for better people. I would use them again. Very polite, attitude was wonderful, I didn't have any problems, not like some of the people that come to your house. They even came ahead of time and their price was lower than the other companies. I've already recommended them to friends and family. They're the best.

Organized and flawless service

Everything was excellent. They did a tremendous job. They showed up on time. They were organized. They took very good care of our furnishings. They worked without taking a break. They were great. Yes pricing was reasonable. I would call them in an instant, the next time I had to move. Yes I would recommend them to anybody. We packed small goods ourselves but everything else they wrapped and protected furniture very well. I think they did a fantastic job.

My experience was very good. They were on-time and they were quick. The prices were reasonable to me. No damage to my stuff, they were fine.

All My Sons did a great job in moving me on a holiday weekend. The crew worked very hard and the head of the crew really knew what he was doing.

Good crew effecient service

Our experience was fine. They were somewhat more expensive than others but I felt a great deal of confidence with their background. We were very pleased with the outcome. They sent three men and accomplished the move very effeciently and effectively. The men were extremely helpful. I think the willingness of the men to accommodate all of the various requests that we made of them, for the placement of furniture and assistance in getting it all assembled. The estimate was on an hourly basis since we were moving locally. It was a matter of amount of time that it took and I thought they operated very effeciently and effectively. There was no waste of anything that I was aware of. I thought that on the basis of time, distance - the costs were exactly in line with what I expected. As I indicated I am very pleased with the crew. They obviously worked together before. They were very friendly very helpful in assembling and getting the furniture placement exactly as we requested them to. We did not use any packing services. We moved all of the smaller items ourselves. So we did not ask them to do any packing for us. They obviously did the shrink wraps and the covers for the furniture that they did move, but they did not do any packing. I would not make any suggestions to the customer service. The team did exactly what we expected them to do and actually went beyond that in terms of being extremely helpful to us. We are an older couple and they had young backs and young legs and went out of their way to make sure that the move went smoothly.

Reasonable pricing, on-time service

It was a good moving experience. Their pricing was competitive, though I feel it could have been a little better as I didn't have that much stuff to move. Other than that, the guys were professional, punctual and handled my move well.
