No show for hours - gets stuff on ...

Please beware. This is the most unprofessional mover you will ever get. I had scheduled this Frank person at 9 am on a Saturday and he didn't show up till 7:30 pm. He kept making excuses starting with the first one claiming that his truck was damaged because a tree fell on it. Then he said he would get a truck from Lansing for a move in Novi, MI which according to him it would take 4 hours although the drive from Lansing to Novi is only 1:30 hours max. Then I called him again after 4 hrs at which point he claimed his backup truck was still not there so he needs another 2 hrs. Then after 2 hrs he said he got caught by the cop and the cop was holding him up for hours giving his truck an inspection. Then he finally showed up at 7:30 pm in a car not a truck. He said he would go pick up his nephew for the move and grab a truck. When they did finally start at 8 pm he started complaining about how heavy the boxes were and he could have charged more then he starting claiming that city ordinance in the city I was moving to does not allow unloading after 9 pm. This turned out to be a false claim as the police station said there was no such ordinance. Then because it was so dark by the time he was only half done he wanted to load my stuff, go away with it and show up next morning to deliver which I refused to agree. Then he wanted to walk away with my stuff because I did not want to give him any money to load/unload the 20 boxes that the nephew had manged to get on the truck. I did end up paying because I was fed up with him. All this while the only person doing any work was his nephew while he was just watching him do all the work. Instead on completing the job for a discount for all the inconvenience he wanted money from me. He stood around complaining while making his nephew put half of our belongings on his truck and then said he couldn't deliver until the next day. When I told him that is not acceptable, he demanded cash from us to unpack what his nephew had loaded or else he'd drive off with our belongings. DO NOT EVER HIRE HIM! He will not complete the job and will complain all throughout. All this while throughout the day he only called once at the start of the day and I had to followup with him every other hour to find out his status. Read more
