Damaged goods, failed to respond to ...

I did not chose this company it was chosen for me by the military. It should be noted that I have used 8 other moving companies the past 12 years of service and have had no issues prior to now. I consider myself a very reasonable person. So much so that this was my first moving company claim ever when I used Aloha Worldwide Forwarders Inc. When my goods were delivered to me in Hawaii boxes had been ripped apart and clothing was strewn about. The unpacking crew stated that the original crew did not pack correctly. Almost 50% of my items were damaged to include a Washer, Dryer, TV Stand, 4K TV, Bookshelf, Dishes, clothing, Pictures and frames, ALL MATRESSES were delivered with dragging rips and some holes voiding my warranties, Headboard and footboard of my solid wood master bed had half inch deep gashes from top to mid-point etc. Needless to say all large items were damaged except my sofas. During the claims process the company did not want to replace items instead they want to pay for what they call “loss of appearance” when we are speaking off all large items in the home this can become much. The also would not pay for many of the damages claiming pre-existing damage however the paperwork listed no prior holes or tears. I have spent 12 years in the Army accumulating a small but nice amount of household items. I have taken very good care of my things however my house now looks as though I am a college kid living with hand-me-down furniture. I will never allow the military to send me this company again. If I must pay out of pocket and be reimbursed. So far I have spent $3,000.00 replacing and fixing items. The company has not paid even one cent. The agreed to a few items over two months ago and I have not received any payment. Please avoid the headache yourself and leave this company alone. Read more
