Stress free Moving Experience

We moved from PA to NC and as you can imagine the stress involved with a long distance move like this. We began our search for movers and came across Appalachian movers and Tom and his team did not disappoint. From the get go, Tom has been professional and courteous. His pricing was great. If we had any question or concern he was quick to respond which we greatly appreciated. On the day of the move, Cameron and his crew arrived on time. Each and every member of this team was professional, polite and accommodated all of our moving needs with a smile. We had 6-8 guys to pack our belongings in PA and they did a phenomenal job. All our items were safely transported to NC and we had Cameron, Boe and Trav to unload our belongings and they were excellent. Tom was prepared to deliver our stuff the very next day, but we needed some time and so he delivered our goods in 2 days which was convenient for us. This just goes to tell you the extra mile they will go for you. If you are looking for quality, 5 star service and a stress free moving experience look no further. Friendly,fast and efficient

Appalachian Movers took great care of our belongings insuring all items were paid wrappe before they were taken from the home. I have moved several times in my life and have to say this crew was amongst the most proficient team I have had thus far. They placed the boxes in the room that I specified which made unpacking a lot easier. I'd like to note my movers were Cameron,Travis and Steve. RUN THE OTHER WAY

I hired Appalachian Movers to move my daughter within State College, PA, and things turned out quite poorly. My deal with Appalachian was for three men and a truck for $145 an hour with a three hour minimum, plus $16 per wardrobe box. They got the stuff in the new place in 1.5 hours, and I asked them to stick around for a little to help. The lead guy said, "Sorry Bud, but once the stuff is off the truck, we're done." But I paid for three hours? The owner Tom DeLella used the excuse for showing up three hours late, because their current move was really fussy about placing everything. Don't we count? Guess not. I told Tom that we needed about four wardrobe boxes, but they showed up with only two and only one had a bar in it. I found this mess after they left. They threw clothes into the box without the bar, and I spent hours untangling the mess. The other box had the clothes on the bar, but underneath, clothes were just thrown in. I initially wanted them to stay to straighten out the boxes that they had put in the correct rooms, but they were all over the place, helter-skelter, so you could not move. I called Tom DiLella, and after 15 minutes of discussion, I felt that I was pulling teeth from a tiger. I complained to the Better Business Bureau, and Appalachian or DiLella did not bother to respond. Read more
