Refused to load the truck until he got ...

He refused to put anything on the truck until he got the money in his hands. They didn't start packing, they didn't even pack for me. The foreman or whoever he is, he sat on the truck and was helping - he was telling them what to get. So he sat on my sofa and the other two guys sat outside until my husband came at 9 o'clock to bring, he said if you don't have the money here by 9:00 we're going to leave. So for an hour they sat there and didn't do anything. The contract said they're going to load the truck first. At least start loading the truck, because in an hour time there wouldn't have been that much stuff on the truck anyway if they were so worried about losing money but anyway, they didn't do anything. For the next hour, he rushed me to get stuff out of my house and he didn't take everything out of the house. Read more

I had to move my furniture upstairs ...

They couldn't get my furniture up my stairs and told me it that it would take an additional hour or so to disassemble it t to get it upstairs and they would have to assemble it upstairs, as well. I would be charged extra to do that and I was told that they would assemble everything. I had to do that myself. Read more

I was not satisfied at all

I requested a move and I had a basement of a house to move. I had a pool table, some boxes and some furniture in the basement. What they did, unfortunately, they quoted me something and they charged me over $1000. And they did not move the pool table. It was ridiculous. They put me on the spot, I could not do anything at that time. I had to move the stuff, I paid them. I contacted them and I asked for a refund. They did not even move the pool table, I lost the pool table because that was the only day I had to move my pool table. They said they could move it, they did not move it when they came there they said they could not do it. They ended up charging me over $1000 for a job that was as far as I'm concerned incomplete. Hidden charges

I had talked to another moving company. He gave me the price and he asked everything that I had in the house. He gave me the price of more money, which I would have paid if I would have known they were going to charge me more when they get out there, when they actually saw what I had. They should have asked me what is there in the apartment before they came up there. It was a $300 difference that I had to pay that I wasn't expecting to pay. I think the whole thing came up to $700. They charged me for wrapping and stuff because other moving companies asked me and told what the price was for before they came here and wrapped everything. Then they went into my account and took another $300 out. They charged me $300 more when I gave them a $107 deposit. So I had to call them back. They were running my account while I was standing and talking to the man. So I would never move with them. I would never recommend them for nobody. The staff was alright. My advice would be to make sure to get the right price and tell them what you are moving so they could get the right price before they get there. You don't tell somebody the price and you come and add another two or three hundred dollars. I had talked to another moving company and they came to around $800 and I would have went with them if I would have known this one was going to charge me so much more. The lady in the office was rude when I tried to talk to her on the phone too, she went and took money from my account while I was on the phone with her even though I didn't give her permission to do that. A disappointing move

I was not would never use them again and would tell other people don't use them. They lied to me to begin with, wherever they are getting the movers from. They were coming out of Rockville. Initially thats where they are from but they said since we are on the eastern shore, they would have people from Cambridge moving us which would cut back on the travel time. Coming out of Rockville is two, two-and-half hours each way so that automatically doubled our movers time. When the guy got here he wanted to go to and look at everything, although I send him a list. He said packing would be some $1100. I said that's a whole job. He said no just the packing material - blankets, tapes, boxes and whatever. We had everything boxed up. I said no go home. You are not moving us. They started to go away. Apparently he called his office and the office called me, no we don't charge for blankets. We only charge for big screen tvs. Anyways the office said we want this we want that. It was all said and done. I told him to go ahead. By the time we cut the price down to where it was getting closer. Even then the guys worked hard. They were 3 men. The guys brought only 26-foot truck for all that was gonna be moved and they couldn't move it all. They said they could do a second trip. All that does is extend time, multiplied by the rates and its way up there. I said just take what you got on this truck, leave it over there and unload them. Professionals at work

They broke a piece of furniture but other than that everything else was fine. The pricing was okay. I think they tried to take their time and tried to get overtime. That's my guess because I only needed them for four hours and I didn't had that much furniture. So it was okay. The crew were good. They were very professional. I would recommend them to my friends and family who will move in the future. They are good people. I will be advised to tell future customers to use them. The staff were good too. They were on time. Unprofessional, RUN!!!! AVOID

The quote was low, typical bait and switch. Driver demanded tips and left without assembling anything. WHen I complained to office they passed the phone around and basically said tough luck! They did not uphold my contract at all. Pay more for better service. By the way I also paind to wrpa my couch and chairs and they were damaged!!! Read more

Worst Moving Company You'll Every ...

My experience with this company on April 24, 2010 was awful. The Sr. mover (Daniel) decided to bubble wrap and put items in boxes without my authorization. To top it off, threaten to take my daughter's items to storage until Monday because I was being overcharged for packing items that I did not authorize, need, nor wanted. I was placed in a difficult situation the evening of the move which impacted a 1 and a 3 year old. I regret ever seeking their services and have a learned a valuable lesson--the company is definitely SCAMMING customers to their benefit financially. I usually do not write reviews but this is not one you should consider and do not use this company. Trust, you will be sorry if you do. I strongly suggest that you do not use this company for your moving services!!! They will quote you one price over the phone and charge your 4 times the amount at the end.
