He was completely booked but still found a way to make it work which is a great reflection on him as a person and a business owner. Paid $1440 to HELP the Movers Move Me!!

First let me say the movers and the owner were very nice before and on the day of the move. The owner Curtis came our look at my things and gave me a price of 1260 (7 hours). On the day of the move they arrived on time ( curtis, 1 mover and an elderly gentleman who appeared to be experiencing pain in his legs). I got a feeling having used movers many times before this was not good. My things were already broken down and packed and all in one location. It took 4hours & 45 minutes to load 1 truck and trailer( it was attached to a pick up truck). Prior to the move I emailed Mr. Curtis and advised the elevator closets to my apartment door was being serviced, they would still have elevator access but would have to walk down the hall to get to the apartment ( the loading location was very close to the elevator that was used). At that time there was no mention that the price may change. Mr. Curtis came up to the apartment to assess how he would do things. We went back down stairs to begin ( time now it 1:45, on the way to the house they stopped and got something to drink) After, watching the elderly gentleman with the pain in his legs move one dolly, my friend and I realized in order for them to be finished by 5:15 ( had to pick up my child) we would have to help. From 2:24 until 5:02 my friend (Female) and I helped move my things. I should mention by 3:45 I no longer saw the elderly gentleman with the pains in his legs. Upon finishing Mr. Curtis thanked my friend and I and advised me that he would give me a discount because I had to help move. He knew I had to go get my child so he stated he would call me later. As irritated as I was because this was not how I invisioned the move I went to do what I had to do. Like he stated, Mr. Curtis called me later that even stated the the move too 9 hours and he was gonna give me a 1 hour discount because we helped ( mind you we helped move for more than an hour) he was only charging 1440 ( 180) over the the price he gave initially. DISAPPOINTED was an understatement in how I felt, however I didn’t argue with him. I paid for the service I felt like if he had NO INTEGRITY I atleast would. Because Mr. Curtis showed up with one Great mover and the elderly gentleman with what appeared to be pains in his legs, the job was never gonna be done in 7 hours. If he underestimated at the time of the initial consultation then he should have said that when he finished loading the tuck I maybe could have received that better. Also, the FINAL bill should NEVER have been over the INITIAL quote knowing that I and my friend had to help. Mr. Curtis didn’t move me as a favor, we are not related. I needed a service and he contracted to do that service. No where does it say if you hire a moving company, the hiring person helps the movers. When my home is finished being built next year, I will NOT call CWG Deliveries & Moving Service nor will I be reco
