I was SCAMMED by This Company

SCAM ALERT…California Relocation Systems was the worst customer experience I’ve had had in my life. Beware of this company. When things go wrong with your move (and they likely will) you will be dealing with people that are both inept at their jobs and completely uncaring for the customer. Here’s what I experienced. Refer to the Better Business Bureau (F rating) along with other online reviews and you will see I’m one of many mistreated customers. • Changed quote (price/cubic foot) once truck was loaded, resulting in higher charge • Lost roughly 1/3 of all our items • Claim packet for lost items was received by them Feb 11th, as of Dec 11th they have not responded and will not answer any emails or phone calls • Only sent one mover to unload full truck at destination. Had to pay our painters to help move items Please read reviews on the popular review sites before calling them. That initial quote will prove to good to be true and cost you thousands of dollars later.

Worst Movers

Where to begin. I was moving from Seattle to Los Angeles, and found California Relocation Systems, and their pricing and schedule matched what I needed so I went forward and hired them to do my move. Strike 1 - When they arrived they came around 9PM on the date of the move, in a Pensky rental truck, because they had to stop by their warehouse to unload their truck in order to make room for my stuff. 2 people came and by 11PM they were not even half way done, they were not covering anything, or labeling any of the boxes as they worked, just put stuff in the truck. By 12AM they informed me that not all my stuff would fit in, and they would need to come the next day to get the rest of my stuff, and that it would be an extra cost. (by then they had already loaded half my stuff so I didn't have any choice, but I was planning on driving down that same day, and now had to arrange for someone to let them into the house to move the rest of my stuff. Strike 2 - I selected them because they were able to deliver my goods before Christmas and only a day after my pregnant wife and I would had arrived in Los Angeles to pick up our keys and sign all the paperwork for our new place. The deliver day arrives no one shows up. I call them and they say they were delayed at another customers house, so they will deliver tomorrow. Tomorrow comes, no one shows up. call again, now they were caught by the Highway Patrol because they didn't have the necessary licenses to move stuff across state, so while the drivers and the company had to get through law enforcement, my pregnant wife and I were in our apt with none of our stuff. Strike 3 - By now Christmas is quickly approaching and my stuff had still not arrived. I called the manager to complain while my wife, crying, and I were sitting in the car, and he told me he had to leave because his family was late to a Christmas dinner, while we were stuck without a Christmas. Strike 4 - The day after Christmas the delivery people arrive, and I could tell they did not take good care of my stuff. For some reason my bicycle was taken apart, my dining table parts were broken, and worse of all my temperpedic matress was sitting in a pool of water in the truck and had grown mold on it. Not to mention all the crushed boxes and retapped boxes. Strike 5 - On the day of the delivery the delivery man also brought his young son (want to say like 10 or younger) to come and help him and the other guy unload, but again they were as slow unloading as they were loading. (they arrived at like 10am, and ended at like 7pm). there was 2 other moving companies that were moving in the same day as me, and they both finished before my guys did even though they arrived earlier. Strike 6 - During the move there is an ice cream truck that comes through the neighborhood, and while my wife and I were moving stuff around in our place, I look out the window and they are sittin

Relocation from CA to GA

I was recommended to this moving company by a close friend that used them for his relocation from California to Georgia. I used them for the exact same relocation, which went predictably well. The communication was pleasantly surprising and level of detail was considerable. I can confidently recommend them to anyone looking to relocate from California to Georgia. I’m sure if they relocated to any other state, it would go well too!

Outstanding customer service

These guys were hired to complete our move. They were flexible with the delivery date and were on schedule the morning of delivery. Four very professional gentlemen showed up to our home and respectfully delivered all our belongings. They were polite and were very careful with each item. They protected my floors and doors and cleaned up after themselves. Outstanding customer service!! Thanks

I would definitely recommend California Relocation Systems. I called gave them a list of items to be moved and quickly got a quote which is exactly what I was charged. I needed a certificate of insurance for both buildings, one with additional paperwork which they completed promptly. They very friendly and did a great job wrapping furniture, assembling bed frame etc, knew how to deal with parking issues, unexpected problems that come up moving in the city. The price was very reasonable and included wardrobe boxes. It was a very easy move because they were reliable and did a great job.

Highly anticipated

Highly satisfied with the service I received from California Relocation Systems. I couldn’t of went with a better certified company for my moving needs. They were the most suitable to meet my moving criteria. They picked up and dropped off my belongings within the narrow timeframe I was looking for, which many other interstate movers couldn’t guarantee. Not only could this company fulfill that request, but they were also able to fulfill my expectations in a variety of other areas. Truly, an outstanding experience. I’d recommend them to others.

Incompetent

PLS STAY AWAY FROM CALIFORNIA RELOCATION SYSTEMS. What a horrible experience. They are very prompt in proving quotes, doing follow ups and making sure we pay the initial deposit. They followed up a couple of days before the stated pick up dates and showed up on time. I informed them my new address on July 6 and asked them for an ETA for the goods to be delivered. This is where the ordeal begins. The customer service rep (Dawn Wade) is highly incompetent. The only answer she can say is "I will update you once I load your stuff in the truck". She has absolutely no clue when that would be done. She claimed that they have their own trucks and also work with other carriers (This was surprising as the person I spoke initially claimed they own all their trucks and they are a full service company). Their contact # often goes to voice mail and she responds to emails (most of them) repeating the same answer like a parrot. A dumb answering machine can do that. When I requested her to call her truck department and expedite, she flatly refused. After umpteen follow ups, they delivered my stuff only to see that they missed 3 of my boxes and broke my TV. Their offer is to pay $0.60/lb for my TV. Wow, at 30 lbs, that would fetch me a cool $18/- for TV worth $300+

Well Planned

After my experience with California Relocation Systems, it's unthinkable that I'd go with another cross country mover. They provided everything required for a move to go perfectly, without worries or trepidation of the unknown. The systems they had in place were sufficient enough to secure this moves success and timeliness.

Fantastic Movers!

This company cracked the moving code! I honestly felt like they were completely in tune with our needs and made sure to keep our things fully protected throughout the entire move. Most movers I’ve heard stories about do not properly secure their customers things, so this was already s good sign from California Relocation Systems. Their communication is the next thing I can point out. It was consistent! Never had an issue getting a question answered or confirming a general timeline of delivery. This was a well executed move, where we received our belongings without any hidden fees or gimmicks.

California Relocation Systems led my move with confidence and conviction. They made no missteps or mistakes throughout the entirety of the move. Their level of devotion was unquestionable. I have dealt with cross country movers in the past and was let down several times over the course of one single move. That was surely not the case here. From LA to ATL

My move from LA to Atlanta was eventful. Excellent customer service from the movers that were involved. The customer service wasn’t faceless. Everyone performed their roles well and the objective of getting my things from one state to another was safely executed. You guys did an excellent job and without having to be incentivized constantly like some service companies need to be. Overall, this was a moving experience that went smoothly, with no surprises or last minute gimmicks.

Unethical company in every way

Please ask yourself why are there no 2,3 or 4 star reviews? Why? Because they are planting good reviews. Save your money and guard your possessions....DO NOT HIRE CALIFORNIA RELOCATION SYSTEMS as this is an authentic review. They lied from the onset of communication. After they load,they triple the price. Then they hold your product,go through it all,take what they want,do horrific damage in the meantime then deliver 2 weeks later. Do you really want to hire a company like this?

Great Movers

Great cross country move from California Relocation Systems, they said that they specialize in long distance moves and they weren't kidding. Great crew, great truck, no damage to my furniture and a very fair price. Couldn't ask for more and I've already recommended them to friends, family and co-workers. Five stars, this move was far less stressful and expensive than I figured it would be, these guys are my movers from now on. Can't stress enough how important it was that they picked me up and delivered me as scheduled, makes all the difference in the world.

Compared to the last moving company I used, these guys are studs! They were able to professionally orchestrate my long distance move from LA County to St. Louis. If you’re thinking of hiring this company, but don’t know what to expect, I’m here to tell you that you can expect great things from them! They exhibit quality moving traits during each phase of the move and it never falters, which is extremely important! I recommend them if you’re planning a move out of California.

STAY AWAY! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND NO ACCOUTABILY FOR DISHONEST PRACTICES!! The five star reviews here most certainly are not real, but I can assure that the 1 star reviews are very real being that I have had, and am still currently having a negative experience dealing with California Relocation Systems. I should've believed everything that the negative reviews have stated. On March 4, 2019, I contacted CRS and spoke with Tom regarding moving from California to Maryland. He excitedly provided a quote of only $1916. I asked him at least 3 times over the phone if that is an accurate amount, and he repeatedly assured that I wouldn't be paying over that amount pending that I do not add any large/bulky items like a “PIANO”. LIE NUMBER #1. I paid my deposit and never heard from Tom again, even when I needed his help with the movers. We arranged a pickup date of March 13th, they arrived the next day. The movers loaded the truck, then provided a quote of $3200. Keep in mind that my initial quote included a 4 chair dining room set, which was not even loaded onto the truck. This was substituted by two boxes, which should not have changed my quote by much, especially not by $1300. I immediately attempted to get on the phone with someone at CRS, which is painfully hard to do unless they are trying to make a sale. The lady that I spoke with (can’t remember her name) was extremely rude. She kept explaining that “my items aren’t a perfect square” so they take up more space than initially quoted. She even had the audacity to tell me that I should’ve known the quote wouldn’t be accurate, even though it is their software that spits out these phony quotes and the salesperson is assuring that it is accurate. After going back and forth with her for about 30 minutes, she finally put someone else on the phone who was able to reduce that amount to $2600. I was still upset at such an inaccurate quote, but at this point my stuff was on the truck and I had to relocate in the next 2 days. I spoke with Dawn to set my First Available Delivery Date at April 17th, due to me being out of the country for 3 weeks. I understood that there is a lag in delivery from the available delivery date to the actual delivery date. They claim that long distant moves can take 3-21 business days. LIE NUMBER #2. It is now May 15, 2019 (20th business day) and I have no idea where my things are. The only way I can seem to reach Dawn “Customer service” is via email. I have had to email her on numerous occasions to get a status. All she has been able to tell me is that “the warehouse hasn’t called her back and she will follow up with me later.” LIE NUMBER #3. She never follows up, and I am having to keep reaching out to her to find out why I still don’t have my things a whole month later. I can only look forward to not having my things for another few weeks, and they will probably arrive broken and damaged like everyone else’s has. SAVE THE HEADACHE AND STAY AWAY FROM CALIFORNIA RELO

Easy Recommendation

This company is an easy recommendation. They were able to properly and professionally relocate my belongings from Santa Monica to Texas. I received fluent and consistent communication,transparency about pricing from the beginning,and patience when asking questions. This company was the total package!
