Worst Move of my Life!!!

My wife and I have moved 24 times and this has by far been the worst experience of our lives. We contracted them to move our furniture out of our house for a remodeling,store it and then return it. When they showed up they came with a truck too small to fit our items,not enough blankets to wrap our items,the blankets they had were all dirty unpacked and laying in the dirty truck and not enough mattress wrap and furniture wrap as contracted. We had to leave multiple rooms of furniture behind in order to accommodate the size of the truck they arrived with at the house yet they charged us more than the estimated amount which makes no sense. The day of the move I spoke with the movers who decided to stop for breakfast and arrive at 10 am when they were supposed to be there at 8 am. During their loading of the truck we watched them sit with our unwrapped chair in the rain while our chair was getting soaked. We then watched them use our couch cushions as filler between furniture unwrapped on the truck. We then realized their inventory report had multiple errors showing furniture that they left behind and excluding furniture that they actually took. Following the move we expressed our concerns and they promised us they would repack the items into crates and rewrap our couches and chairs to insure they are covered properly and provide us with pictures. They didn't rewrap the items and they sent us a few pictures which clearly showed they didn't rewrap the items. They also told us they would re-inventory the items and give us a new inventory report which they didn't. For the past 3 weeks we have been trying to get anyone to respond to our emails and provide us with any information and they will not reply. We have gone to the corporate company and they told us since it was a local move they have no jurisdiction. These people have the contents of our house and no one will respond to us. I hope someone in corporate or this branch will see this and at least communicate with us so we can turn this event into something more positive. Read more
