Non responsive, dishonest, thieves
Non responsive, dishonest, thieves. We were quoted for 1800 lbs for our move. A few weeks before our move I tried to get a date they would come pick up our things, and I was told we would get a call the next day from the truck picking up our stuff to set up a date and time. A week went by and nothing. (During this week I did call Cook a few times and got nothing) So we are flying out the next week and don't know when, or if, they will be here to pick up. We finally hear from Cook that the truck will call the next day to set up a date and time. Our tickets were for 2/14/2020 and we get a call,3 days after we hear from Cook, that the truck is parked 5 minutes away and wants to know if we're home so they can grab our stuff!! So we rush and finish packing the last few boxes of necessities (sheets and blankets, toiletries, a few clothes, just stuff we needed to live with) and our things are picked up. This was 2/12/2020. Rick Cook emails and says our stuff is in town, and are sent an invoice for 2200 lbs of stuff. We did not have that much stuff. We request a reweight of our shipment and it was 1540 lbs. They would not deliver our things until we paid the full amount for 2200lbs. So we paid. And got most of our stuff. (It took some nagging but they did refund us the difference of the 2 weights) It's now 5-31-2020, almost 3 months since our things were dropped off. We are missing a tool box full of tools, a table, and a box of kitchen items. We've called and emailed over and over again. They are very non responsive, and when Crooks team gets around to responding, they make it clear they don't care where the missing items are, or about making it right. Cook acknowledges these specific items are missing, but say it's not their problem. (How is this not their problem?????) We had insurance on our shipment, and have asked for a refund or payment of the value of items missing, but they won't do anything about it.
