Do Not Use This Company

This was my first time using a moving company and it will be my last with this company. They were extremely expensive and they did not take care of my things. When my things finally arrived they were broken, missing , and filthy. I strongly believe they did not care about how they handled my property or how they stored it. I would strongly not recommend this company. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

Nationwide and Dann Moving

Avoid at all times both of these moving companies. Nationwide originally quoted approximately $11,000 with one 26' truck and then requoted approximately $20,000. The move was subcontracted to Dann Moving with a crew of 3 and 2 trucks - one a 24" U-Haul and the other a rented Penske. While the supervisor was competent, the 2 other men were totally incompetent and broke three 2 lamps while initial loading. Furthermore they did not come with any plastic or buuble wrap to protect our art works, which they were required to pack and they required cash upfront after packing the trucks and the other 1/2 in cash ($9000) before they would unload at the destination. Additionally, I discovered that my jewelry box containing $11,000 for the move and the cash payout at delivery and approximately $16,000 in gold jewelry was missing and the only ones with access to the house was the Dann Moving personnel. I immediately called Dann Moving and Nationwide of the theft , who claimed none of their men would ever steel. I also contacted the Rio Grande County Sheriff's department and they came and interviewed all parties. While they searched the trucks and coud not find the stolen items, they could not search the individuals without a search warrent. Finally the backed one of their trucks into my pickup truck causing $1000 to replace the dented bumper - the act which was witnessed by a neigbor. All of this was reported in the Sheriffs report. Upon arrival to our new home in Ohio, they would not unload until I could obtain $9,000 in cash or mail orders, which I obtained. They then did not complete the job of righting and setting our 73" tall armoir but left hurriedly with their trucks. We then had to spend an additional $350 to another mover to set upright the armoir and move it to our requested location. I contacted an attorney, who essentially told me an interstate move involved federal law and it was doubtfull that I would ever see any redress fro the movers and he would not take the case due to its complexity.

We moved from Decatur TN to Springfield MO this past week and Stefan and Luka did an amazing job with our two fully loaded trucks! They came and packed everything up on a first day. On second day,everything was loaded up,third day delivered! No damages,fair pricing and finally moving company you can trust!!

Fast and reliable

Two guys came. Packed and loaded the truck in 5 hours. They were very professional and prepared. I am not sure why there are so many mixed reviews but they moved me without any problems.

Move from Atlanta to Miami ! Very ...

I moved from Atlanta to Miami,and I am very happy with the movers,they did a very good job and I recommend these movers to everyone,I was very skeptical about the move,but these guys made me feel happy and all stuff was good!!!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!

Dishonest - goods held hostage

I hired and paid Eagle Moving Company out of Florida $1300+ to guarantee a move date. According to Eagle,I only needed a 26-foot truck which everything would fit on easily. My contract had what was to be moved and stated I had to pay the movers $2200. They sent sub-contractors Jovan Elezovic and his partner that travel the country moving people. Jovan went through the house very quickly and said there is more than double that was on his contract and wanted $6000 to move everything. I told him I will only pay the contracted price of $2200. He said this always happens with Eagle Moving Company because they are a very dishonest. I told them to just move what is on the contract starting with the big stuff and if there is not enough room for the small stuff to just leave it. He tried very hard to convince me it was smart if I paid them the $6000. I told them no and they started to load the truck. When they said they were done,I told them your truck isn't even half full and you did not load any of the big stuff and only a small percentage of what was on my contract. Jovan said if I wanted what was on the contract it would be $6000. I told him you lied to me and to take everything off. He laughed and said that would cost $6000. I wouldn't pay it so he said ok and left going to my destination about 170 miles away. When they got there,he wanted the $2200 by credit card only and papers signed before unloading the truck. I told him I would pay him after he unloaded the truck. He said I pay now or they were leaving with my stuff. I had no choice. Boxes were marked 'very fragile - this side up',they did not care. Even though boxes were marked kitchen,bedroom or living room they just dumped it anywhere. There were many things scratched,dented or broken. The next morning at 3am I called my bank and they put a dispute on the credit card charges. Later I called Eagle Moving and told them. They took everything down and said someone would contact me in a few days. When no-one did,I called them and they said it's under review. Still waiting for that call back. I am 71 with some health issues. Both movers were large men and I was intimidated especially when Jovan would raise his voice and said I better be quiet. When I complained,it was going to cost me additional money which I already paid for,Jovan very condescending said he would take off $200 to hire other movers. He actually took off $110. It took them less than 2 hours to load and less than a hour to unload. When I asked for copies on what I signed and a copy of the bill of lading,Jovan said they don't do that and I will be emailed everything. I never received anything. I had to hire hourly movers to load and unload the truck which I had to rent and drive it to and from,a first and last for me.

Don't Use Dann Moving / Don't trust ...

Unprofessional, untrained, used moving blankets for 20% of my furniture, caused an estimated $15000-$20000 damage, no interest from Dann Moving or Nationwide (who contracted them) to make things right. Offered $350 in compensation. Despite dozens of pictures of unloading truck showing no blankets and resulting damage. Starting a major social media campaign to make sure EVERYONE knows to not use Dann Moving or Nationwide. Looks like legal action is the only way to go. It is unbelievable to me how little they care about their customers or the work they perform. Don't be fooled by all the promises and commitments on Nationwide's website.

Incompetent, Poorly-Packed and ...

Dann Moving, who was subcontracted by Nationwide Moving Services, mishandled our items during an interstate move. First impressions are the most accurate, with Dann Moving showing up 6 hours late to start the job. They were ill-equipped with Penske trucks and not enough supplies, wrapping furniture with plastic wrap WITHOUT furniture pads. The lead mover's brother clearly had mental issues and even stopped assisting the other movers midway through delivery, leaving the lead mover to unload the rest independently. Due to the incompetence of Dann Moving and the awful subcontracting practices of Nationwide Moving Services, we sustained damages to $15,250 worth of items, primarily broken, scraped and dented furniture and ripped upholstery. The claims process is a joke, not even managed by Nationwide Moving Services and is actually managed by Moving Claim Services - an awful website that requires you to re-submit every detail every time there is an update or progress made on the claim. Despite having documented everything very clearly, with over 2370 pounds of damaged items, even with the paltry $0.60/lb coverage it should amount to a $1422 reimbursement. They offered an insulting $108. Based on the unending list of BBB complaints against all 3 companies, legal action is the only remedy. Dann Moving is not a professional moving service and they are not upfront or honest about the damages caused by their own incompetence. Even if you opt for a higher level of insurance coverage, your claim will not be honored.

I moved from my house to an apartment this past Friday,February 18th. I couldn't have been happier with the quality of work and communication from Dann Moving (George and Emma) I received a phone call a couple of days before my move and I received another call from the actual movers on the day of my move indicating they were on the way. Movers Demar and Quentin were fantastic,respectful,and courteous individuals. They were extremely professional and reviewed everything before they started the process at my home and at my apartment. I would highly recommend Dann Moving and I would personally ask for the same movers that I had

Scammers! Avoid at all cost!

This company is a complete rip off! Quoted a price of 1900.00 but held items hostage unless they were given nearly 6000.00, drivers were extremely condescending, verbally abusive, and was somewhat bullish. Showed up in rented uhaul truck and decided to charge us for truck rental, mileage to and from their home 300 miles from pickup location and 258 miles from drop off, when the actual trip was only 149 miles

Avoid at all costs

Stay away from this company. They are horrendous. They were contracted through United Van. We were at our new home for a week before we heard anything from them about where our stuff was. Our things were supposed to arrive on Friday. Then it was delay until Sunday night. Then Monday morning. Then they wouldn’t deliver until Tuesday because it was raining out. They begrudgingly came Monday afternoon after we called and said there was a 3 hour window of no rain. They overcharged us as if they had packed all our things for the move when really we packed 90% of our things. They destroyed a bookcase, and damaged two canvas wall hangings and our crockpot. They also left multiple items with us that weren't ours so they obviously aren't keeping track of who belongs to who very well.

Highly recommend

These guys blew me away with their services especially during moving times when they can be stressful. They were very professional and polite. They came and packaged everything how I wanted with no complaints or questions. Loaded everything up in a great amount of time. Even the delivery was quick and efficient with nothing broken. Would definitely recommend to others

Total crooks and thieves

First they don't come to your house to give you a quote. They do it through Phone. They don't speak English well. We signed for the price of 5300 to move and when we arrived at our new home they decided it was 6300! They claimed they packed more boxes but we packed almost our entire house by ourselves. They actually took off with our furniture until my husband's company paid the full amount. These people are criminals. Even after we payed the full price they were hesitant to bring our furniture. We finally threaten to call the police since we could prove we paid in full.

irresponsible, nightmare, and never ...

As one of the American Van Lines agents, Dann Moving was assigned to do pickup on July 7-9 for our moving from Columbia, MO to Columbus, OH. Originally, the pickup was scheduled on July 8, Friday between 12-1 pm, but it was delayed on July 9 on Saturday. The truck eventually arrived around 10 am on Saturday, July 9, but it took more than 2 h for them to finish the paperwork. The guy called Ben told us that there would be an additional $2000 for packing and an additional $1,400 for weight, and we said that all packing had been included in the original estimate and order of service and we can pay for costs for additional weight. While we were discussing this new estimate with American Van Lines, the driver left our house without telling us anything – we had thought that they went for lunch! We then kept calling them and asking them to come back; they did not answer our calls and simply turned their phone off. We also kept calling the manager, Dan, located in St Louis, and he did not respond either. They chose to ignore us. Our sold house had been scheduled on Monday, July 11, for closing, meaning that we had to be completely out of our sold house by 3:30 pm, or we would be sued by the buyer of our house. We couldn’t reach anyone on Sunday July 10. American Van Lines (the coordinator is called Ben Miller) did not do anything to help us on Saturday and Sunday, even though they knew exactly that our house’s closing date was the coming Monday. It was a nightmare for us!!! American Van Lines and Dann Moving screwed up everything about our move and turned our lives upside down! Never trust Dann Moving and never trust American Van Lines. They are irresponsible and liars!

Awful, Terrible, Nightmare

I highly recommend you not even move if you have to use this company. They take your stuff and deliver it when they are ready to do so. They took 20 days to deliver. Do you think they were sorry? No. Do you think they offered a discount? NO. They took everything I own in this world, scratched it, dented it and treated me like I was less than a human. Do not move if this is the company that shows up at your door. They are awful.
