Worst company I've ever dealt with - ...
Save yourself the broken furniture, the THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS (I can’t say that they stole, but I can say that they executed a contract with me for expedited delivery that cost thousands of dollars more, that they **knew they could not deliver on time**. I know this because the guy they had to outsource driving the truck told me this, more on that later) and the horrific customer service experience .. during the move and for the next 4 months after the move and go with someone, god anyone, else. First, they broke my kitchen table, kitchen bench, coffee table and a large container .. you’ll never guess, but they won’t return my calls and emails to give me the last piece of information I need to submit the insurance claim. Second, the team that packed me up explicitly told me I could pay the final payment by credit card. This is incorrect. When management called to get a Zelle payment, I was told the truck had not left the state to deliver my furniture because they hadn’t received my payment. WTF, your employee told me how to pay you. So I’m now on the second day of my drive and I get a call saying its my fault the truck is being held and now won’t be delivered on time. SPOILER ALERT: This. was. a. lie. The truck had not left the state because the *outsourced* delivery team was still in Florida on a vacation and this company knew there was no way they would be able to get my truck to me on time. Fun story, the outsourced delivery lead guy told me when he delivered my furniture days late that he was only contacted to see if he was available to deliver my furniture the day my furniture was packed up! Sooooo how Dependable Movers executed a contract with me for expedited out of state delivery when they DID NOT have a team available to actually drive the truck, truly is a magic trick .. or maybe there is another word for this. Again, I can’t say steal, so let’s call it wishful thinking. Which is a funny way to execute a contract. The take away here is - the truck was not being held because their pack up delivery guy gave me wrong payment information (which is still pretty crappy), but because THEY DIDN’T HAVE ANYONE TO DRIVE THE TRUCK!! Third, you can imagine the amount of phone calls I had with these people while I was on the road, lots. Here’s some of the fabulous customer service I had with honestly almost all their staff, because I spoke to everyone. 1. Was told I would be texted with updates on my delivery date. This never happened and finally Benjamin admitted he took down my number wrong. My number was definitely on my account, cause they called me to say I couldn’t pay by credit card pretty fast. 2. Was hung up on by one of the women who answers the phones. She was one of those types that thinks that her “I don’t take sh*t attitude” is a really cool part of her personality. I’m sure she’ll grow out of that phase soon, but for now, it makes for the worst kind of person
