Worse than imaginable

This company is a fraud. The cost was higher than projected. The move took three times as long as I was told it would. And the worst part was I couldn't get anyone to answer my phone calls or tell me where my things were for a period of about two weeks. I called once to complain and then they clearly started to screen my calls because I would be put on hold for hours at a time and then eventually go to a voicemail. I finally got a call back after about 8 days when I left a voicemail threatening to call the police. When my things finally arrived, an antique rocking chair was broken. The men unloading were unprofessional and agressively arguing with each other the whole time. They destroyed the molding around my door trying to force a couch through. All in all, this was the worst customer service experience I have ever had and it is shocking that a company like this even exists. I registered a complaint with the BBB. If I had the time or resources I would make it my mission to shut Eco Van Lines down -- and I'm not the type to take customer service too seriously (I have literally never complained about a dish in a restaurant). My Eco Van Lines experience was not just disappointing customer service, it was criminally neglectful customer service. They left me panicking, wondering if I would ever see my things again. Would not recommend them

It was okay. There was lot of miscommunication. They picked up my stuff and told me my stuff would be delivered within 21 days but when the movers came to bring it they told me there was a lot of miscommunication. Basically, I got a email that said it wouldn't be delivered for a week and the movers called me the next day to deliver and I also was told that it was gonna be another week in advance. So it was very frustrating. There was a lot of miscommunication between the two moving companies that picked up and delivered and the actual people that initiated communication. Also, I got double-billed above what my initial quote was. They only packed one TV, which was fine, but I packed everything on my own. It was double the quote itself and that was ridiculous. Reasonably priced good service

They were on-time. They picked up stuff and delivered and asked me the way it should be set. Price was reasonable. They were good. So I would ask them to go with Eco movers, any of my friends or family members, whoever actually is moving. They missed actually one of my boxes. That box has only a few utensils. I know the movers will actually find a lot of stuff for many people. So I think if they make sure the boxes are properly labeled, so that it will be delivered to the right people. Read more

Not at all professional

The move was not good actually. Initially he told me a price and finally he told me some other price. He says "your weight is more" and all those things. That was not a good experience altogether. I didn't receive all the services. Actually, I needed to ask about the bubble wrap for my TV and all but they did not bring it at all. Initially they said they would provide me with everything but they didn't do anything. They did not seem to be professional as well. Read more

company customer service VERY poor

I expected a company moving van to show up at my house with the truck being large enough to take all my household goods. Instead, I got a rental truck with other peoples goods still inside. The inventory I filled out on your site did not transfer completely and my husband & I did not catch it. thus the truck was too small. The move happened 4 days AFTER our requested 2 days. This on top of doubling our cost and requiring a 3% fee to use a credit card made this an awful company to work with. Read more

Efficient and on time service

It was good. They came when they said they were going to come. They wrapped all my furniture up. Tight as a drum. They were like quick and efficient in getting me moved out and moved in. Extremely bad experience

The worst moving that I ever had in my life. It was extremely bad. They have brought half of my stuff. They did not set up my bed. I paid for packing and unpacking. They lost my stuff. When I filed insurance, they had 60 cents a pound. At the end I received $40. Even though they broke all my glass, mirrors. Most of my stuff got damaged. They could not even put my things together and just left. They did not even communicated back to me. I just called them many many times and I gave $170 to some other company to set up my bed. This is unfortunately I trusted and I go to that company and it costed me more money. Read more

Horrible experience

They started with a friendly note. Once my stuff was picked up, I moved to California. My stuff was delivered after one month. I was travelling with my family. I was having kids. Without my furniture and stuff, how I adjusted in an apartment, I only know that. This was not enough. The most bad experience in my whole life I had was, I bought a 46-inch Sony Bravia LED TV. It was a $1002 from Bestbuy.com for my family. I gifted to my family and my daughter was really enjoying that. They have lost that tv - new branded tv from their warehouse itself. It's been almost eight months, I kept following up and I never received any response. I had basic insurance with them. I never got any money. Neither I was compensated for my loss. I have almost spend most of my money in calls and all but still the customer response and the service is very bad. Sometimes they shout at me like it was my fault. I don't know how they can behave like that. I am a customer. Till now I am paying every month to the bestbuy for the lost tv. I don't like them at all. They didn't even respond whenever I was following up for the goods. I used to call them three or four times a day. I left voice messages and I hardly received any call back from them. From the time of pickup to collecting 70 percent of payment from me, after that it was a horrible experience for me. My stuff was picked up on May 16th and they were delivered on 29th of June. A very disappointing move

It was terrible. Very very bad. They promised me when I booked the move, delivery would be two to three days after pick up. It landed up being almost two weeks. There was one lost box. What really bothered me was the man on the phone that when I booked it and he told me the job, he assured me that they would pick my goods up and would be delivered in 48 to 72 hours after pickup. Really bad experience

They set up a deal with my company. My company only dealt with checks. Their sales person had set it up with my company. It was all ready to go. They came to retrieve my things. Instead of taking 14 days for delivering of my things, it took 28 days for the move to be complete. I paid extra for the wardrobe box. Read more

A disappointing move

The pickup was delayed by a couple of days. The delivery was also delayed. They said it would take 15 days but later said 30 days. They should have informed me about this earlier. The price was raised from $1,500 to $2,300 after they had seen my items. The quote was initially given to me on the phone. The crew was nice and professional. Dissatisfying experience

I am unhappy with their services and they don’t have proper communication. They loaded our stuff and they took them to the warehouse, and again, they loaded them in another truck. They kept on making changes to the quotes, and they were always lying. They were very reasonable at the time of the initial quote but at the end I had to pay twice the estimated price. TERRIBLE MOVING EXPERIENCE

We chose EcoVanlines because we got a good quote from them. Unfortunately, they arrived at our house on moving date and TRIPLED the amount that they originally quoted us. They sent a small truck for a 4 bedroom house and then misestimated and had to send two additional trucks to come pick up items. When they misestimated on the size of the second truck, they charged us more. Then they were supposed to deliver it Aug 21 and it did not arrive until September 9th. When it arrived, almost ALL of our furniture had been damaged and many of the boxes had been crushed. We have lost some family heirlooms and this company was negligent in handling our items. Their customer service has been terrible and we did not receive phone calls back on NUMEROUS occasions. Please, please, please DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. It is the most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with and I am so sad that MOVERS.COM directed me to the,. What a nightmare this has been. Read more

Good movers, dishonest company

This is actually a two-fold review. The actual movers that came and helped me on my moving day by packing and loading the boxes onto the truck did an excellent job. However, the company itself was a little dishonest throughout the quote process. They quoted me for less than half of what I actually ended up paying because the guy doing the quote was dishonest. He also told me that I could pay using a credit card, when I actually could not when it came time for me to pay for the move. Read more

Really smooth moving experience

My wife is all into pottery, and sculpting, so when we decided to move to Texas, I knew that moving all of her materials would be a bit of a pain. We went with a full service mover because we wanted everything to be as stress free as possible, and we wanted to go on vacation and not worry about our things. We went through an inventory list with our sales rep, Naomi. It was a rather time consuming process with all the odd pottery equipment, and going through the sizes of everything, but it really paid off, because the day of the move went by without a hitch, and the price didn't even change by a penny. We went on vacation, and let eco know that my mother in law would be on the delivery end to receive the items. We came back from vacation and everything was waiting for us there, and nothing was damaged. It was a really great experience working with eco vanlines. Read more

Great Budget Move

I just got accepted to a door opening internship in Chicago, so I was ready to pack all my stuff and move up there. Problem was, I had too many things to take with me on the plane, and I wasn't about to waste money driving a truck all the way up to Chicago, so I went with a full service moving company. Eco gave me a great price on this small move, and even crated my flat screen tv for free. I packed up all the essentials on the plane with me, because I knew the delivery would take a while, but I was pleasantly surprised when the items were delivered within the week. The price remained constant throughout the whole process, and everything stayed true to the original quote that I signed on. Good Honest Movers

I'm originally from New York, but had been down in Florida for school, and was now moving back. As a New Yorker I wasn't about to be messed around with any moving company. I did my research and found the best of the best, for the cheapest price. I hadn't heard of eco before, but their record with the department of transportation, and good reviews impressed me. The movers handled everything with care as I watched them like a hawk. No price increases or messing around, which I was happy about. Cross Country done Right

I was moving with the kids out to Washington to claim an estate after my mother passed. We got rid of our mortgage by selling the house, and figured we could save money living in a house already paid for. I was very cautious about moving companies, and made sure to check every company that called me, to make sure they were legitimate. I was impressed by eco's good reviews, and good record with the department of transportation. City Move

I had grown up in Tennessee my whole life, but after I received my degree from college, I started getting job offers all over. I finally decided on NY, to get close to the big city. I didn't have many things to move, but the things that I did have were dear to me. Eco Van Lines was able to provide me with the best price. They were upfront with me from the beginning, and my sales representative Barry even looked up my address to see if I would need a shuttle service, or not, on delivery. Turns out I did need one, which was a pain, but at least I knew about the charge ahead of time, and not on the day of the move.
