I just moved from Boston to Sydney and Express Cargo did an amazing job with my move. I was "iffy" at first on which moving company to use, since so many of them get bad reviews, but this company really proved me otherwise. Great moving company!

Just finished a very stressful move from Miami to Buenos Aires. I was assigned a job there at the last second, and needed to find a company who could move me fast, with a good price. The price ended up being a little under what they quoted me, which was great because of fees I had to pay once I got here. The representative was very helpful, honest, and kept checking in with me to update me on any changes that were being made. I will definitely use this company again in a few years when it is time for me to move back. Read more

Everything went just as planned

It's already in a container and it's going through the Atlantic Ocean right now. Everything went just as planned, everything went accordingly. The loading was perfect, the container showed up early I got loaded for 27 minutes,everything went good. WORST REMOVAL COMPANY EVER. TOLD 6-9 ...

Used this company to ship all our stuff from USA to UK, after packing it (the large things inadequately) they gave us an original estimate of 6-9 weeks to get to us, it took over 3 months, during this time they did not return calls, they did not reply to any emails making us aware that it was on its way or going to be delayed. As other reviews have said the only way to get them to answer you is by filing a complaint with the BBB. After complaining to the BBB we finally got an estimate of a delivery date and an excuse of "the Christmas time is slow and therefore delayed your shipment". After waiting 3 months we finally received our stuff of which they irreparably damaged bikes, tables, chairs (legs broken off), and guitars, from the looks of things the pallet had been roughly treated. I am sure the testimonials on their website must be fraudulent as they are a horrific company to work with. DO NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY EVEN IF THEY ARE CHEAP YOU WILL PAY FOR IT! Read more

A disappontment for me!

My furniture arrived in pieces, damaged, and broken! Make sure you get insurance if you decide to ship furniture with this company! I encountered other problems when my furniture arrived in the Dominican Republic, and when I called the company the secretary (Gladys) blew me off by telling me I don't need to contact them with issues since my furniture was out of the USA and that I should contact the movers in the Dominican Republic. How's that for customer service? However, John (the export specialist) was more helpful and he went out of his way a bit. I got hit with an extra $1,000 when my furniture arrived at the Dominican port, I wish that would have been included in my estimate. Overall the experience was not good. Read more

Responsive and they were great

It was excellent, it was great. They were very responsive, call back quickly, they contacted me quickly. They were extremely helpful with any questions I have. They made an accommodation for me when the bill was not properly delivered my email and so they dropped the late charge without any questions. They were just great. They were good on the price, that's I went with them because I have no experience primarily and they ended up being excellent company. They were all very good, picked up the boxes, everyone were excellent. They were on-time, pleasant, professional and excellent. My advice is keep them what they were doing because they were really good. They were very responsible and very professional. Read more

Nebraska to South Africa

Back in March I had quite a big move and was very pleased with the outcome of my shipment. I had 3 vehicles and a 4 bedroom home, fully furnished. I moved from Omaha, NE to Durban, South Africa. Before choosing a company, I was scared by some of the things I had read online about many of the moving companies. Everyone had something negative written, but I've learned to distrust online blogs and reviews because most of the time it's people ranting and raving simply because they are upset about something unrelated to the company itself. After I decided on 3 companies, I checked their licenses with the FMC and then checked the complaint record on the BBB. Of the 3 companies, only Express Cargo had an A+ rating. They still had some complaints filed against them, but all were resolved according to the BBB which was most important to me. I am in the hotel service industry and I learned a long time ago that you can't make everyone happy. Not to mention the fact that those that are happiest never post reviews. This is precisely why I am quoting mine. Moving in general is stressful, so I wasn't prepared for a move across the world. The staff at Express Cargo was very helpful, answered all of my questions, and made sure that I was informed along the way of any issues. We opted to have Express Cargo handle everything, the packing, the loading, transporting of the vehicles, ect. The team they sent over was very professional. I was especially impressed by how Moses crew handled my familys belongings as if they were their own. Everything arrived in Durban and we were put in contact with Stuttaford in South Africa. They worked very well with Express Cargo in order to make the process as easy as possible. When everything was delivered we were relieved to finally have our things and as we unpacked were even more pleased that there was hardly any damage. Nothing was broken, but there were a few knicks and dings here and there. Gladys sent us the insurance claims form with complete instructions, but my husband and I decided we couldn't really meet the deductible since most were just knick-knacks. I guess that's to be expected as we were told that items can shift slightly during transit. All in all, we were thankful that we took the naysayers with a grain of salt and looked deeper into a companys character instead of relying on biased and possibly unfounded reviews online. We hope this helps others out there that are planning their move overseas. Read more

No Surprises!

I went on movers.com to submit my move information. Needless to say I had no idea how many phone calls/emails I would receive but, I am glad I did it. One particular mate Derek Anderson from Express Cargo USA made me feel the most comfortable from our first conversation. He told me the way the shipment would be handled and what I needed to do with customs before and after my shipment had arrived. Moving back to AUS from the states was something I wasn't planning and money was tight so Derek told me I could save some money if I collected at the local terminal in Hobart. One thing that helped me the most is he told me about the local Australian quarantine charges/process and also something called port fees. This helped me budget for them because it would have been a big shock I wouldn't have been prepared for if I shipped with someone else. My biggest recommendation if shipping to AUS is to call Express Cargo USA. They were honest about the shipping process, helped me ship with a budget in mind, and I had no surprises. I moved to Indonesia

I just wanted to say how grateful we are to Eric and the company for being trustworthy and honest. I was so leery and he was very patient with me. Our boxes arrived in the same condition that we shipped them in and everything was intact and unharmed. The boxes got here in Sunday, not Friday, but that was an issue with the airline. We also had to pay additional fees for documents and such, but I know that has nothing to do with Eric either. I just wanted to say thank you so much for the time and patience with me. Move to Switzerland

Dear Gladys and Jennifer, My husband just came back from the storage unit, reporting that the UPS pick up man was extremely professional and efficient, packed all of Tim's boxes onto a pallet and shrink-wrapped it all securely. We were very concerned that he wouldnt help at all but he was very careful with loading so we even tipped him! Thank you both very much for your help during this process which is very foreign (bad pun, sorry) to me. Tim was correct in asking your company to handle this transaction. Now we look forward to the shipment's arrival in Switzerland. Thanks for sending us the customs form to fill out beforehand. Turns out we had to stop by the consulate to show some proof of residency papers. Had we not done that, it might have delayed our shipment at some point or might have cost us more money. The guys were good, their service was ...

When I called them to know what’s going on with my shipment, they told me that it would take about 15 days. But when I kept calling them to get confirmation regarding the delivery of the shipment, they told me that they had no clue about it. I had to contact the people in Riyad, Saudi Arabia, to know what’s going on with my shipment. I feel that they should have kept me updated about the shipment. That’s the only problem I had with them.
