They were proficient at moving, it was more an idea of wrapping. They had to wrap my furniture in plastic wrapping and they didn't not do a good job of that at all. My furniture got dirty and it just wasn't protected. That's the part I didn't like.

Everything went smoothly, everybody was very friendly and very helpful and it was really a good experience. Wilson was especially good, he was the foreman on the crew.

Efficient and fair prices!

They were very efficient. Their pricing was very fair. They were very professional. I would definitely recommend them. The only thing I didn't like was that I tried to give them each a tip and they kinda haggled for a bigger tip and THAT I didn't like.

They did a good move

It was fine. They came, got everything, took it out of the house, put it in the truck, took it down here, unloaded it--it was great. They're good. They showed up on time, they did a good move, at a reasonable price.

First Is like to say that I had a 7 room house moved from Southern NH to Foxboro, Ma for $900 with a two man crew. This company said would move my one bed room apt in Foxboro, Ma to my new home 5 minutes down the street in Foxboro, Ma for $350. I ended up paying a four man crew $960.. They came in and within 5 minutes the lead mover with tatoos all over him he looked like an ex con started yelling at my wife. I called up the dispatch person and told him what happened. He said they have a tough job and these things occassionally happen. After we hung up he called the lead mover on his crew too tell him what happened. After that this 4 man crews moving work ground down too a crawl. They dragged this 3 hour job into an over 8 hour $960 job. When I expressed resistance to payingng that amount the lead moved became very aggressive almost in a threatening manner to make me pay. I had called the dispatcher prior too this interaction and with a hostile attitude suggested Is have to pay for the time his movers were there. I felt very threatened by this tattooed ex con looking guy and paid. I'm concerned about violent retaliation by them if they figured out who I am. I am seriously scared of this moving company. They made me pay 3 times the original quote with threatening and intimidation.

Untrustworthy moving company

We had an issue with them raising the cost and they promised delivery on a certain date and it was not delivered until two days later. So we did have a couple of issues, but our stuff got there and it was fine. Come to think of it though, one thing was damaged and they haven't reimbursed us for it yet though. They gave me a price and they guaranteed that would be the price unless we "add a baby elephant". Of course she was being facetious, but she meant that give or take 50 pounds here and there, it didn't matter. Also, her manager even guaranteed that it would be there on a certain day, but apparently they subcontracted the move to a different company. It wasn't delivered -- we were there and we were waiting but they never called us and they never said anything. I tried to reach somebody and nobody answered and it showed up a day later they showed up with our stuff and said "we don't know why Father and Son would tell you that because we never deliver on a holiday." One thing was broken and we asked about reimbursement for it and they said they would need to contact their adjuster but they didn't follow through so I have to go hound them for the money and for a resolution. The gentlemen who picked up our stuff were from NJ but they were picking our stuff up from Akron, Ohio and they were very nice, very professional guys. If I could change anything about the move, I would just say that if you promise something and say the words "I promise" or "I guarantee" you better follow through on it. Because if you're not sure, you shouldn't say so. We had to get there on time to get something done and we had no furniture and nothing to use. Plus, neither one of them called us to let us know. And finally when I did get a hold of someone at Father and Son, she said "well who told you that they would be there?" and I said "you did." She was very nasty. It was as if she said anything she could just to get the sale.

Dishonest company with bad pricing

They sent an email saying that someone else was coming. Then the day before I called and they said that they no longer worked with that service and that another service is coming and they showed up and Father and Son had given me one quote and then they said it was going to be $900 more and it was just a fiasco, I would never do it again. I didn't appreciate them standing there talking in a different language because when I questioned the amount they were trying to charge me -- Father and Son gave me a quote for $1,300 and I changed nothing on my list and then this guy came and told me it was going to be $2,100 -- so I was not happy and he called his boss and spoke in a different language. The whole thing was just not very pleasant for me. There was damage done to one of the dressers but we didn't realize it until after they had left. They must have caught it on a door and ripped up the back corner of one of the dressers. But other than that, they took pretty good care of everything else. Like I said though, I didn't notice it until after they were gone. They told me it would be them picking up and delivering and I was there by myself, so I didn't like the fact that the day before I had to call the other company to find out when they were coming, and then they showed up an hour and a half late. All I needed was a phone call and I didn't even get that the day before they showed up. The day they delivered the furniture to my daughter, they didn't call me until an hour and a half before they got there that they were coming and my daughter had to go to work. It was just done very unprofessionally and when I spoke to them on the phone they were just very rude to me.

Worst moving experience

I was misquoted over $1,200 on my move, my stuff came a week late and things were broken. The company I went through actually subcontracted it out to another moving company, and I was trying to get a hold of them to get my stuff and I could never get a hold of anyone. I was put on hold and it was just an absolute chaotic nightmare. I can't get a hold of anyone and they've been reported to the Better Business Bureau.

Good move, but late delivery

When I talked to them I asked them to deliver by Friday October 25, but they said it was not possible but they can deliver either October 26 or 27, that's the date they gave. After we loaded the truck and moved to North Carolina, they said it would be 10 days starting from October 26 and I can receive it anytime within 10 days after October 26, which was completed unexpected. They gave me a date and then told me it would be 10 days from that date. The pricing was good actually, there was another company that quoted me $1,600 for the same dates, 25th and 26th, and this company gave me a quote of $1,500 and told me they would deliver by the 26th, so I went with this company.

Missing some of my stuff

We're missing a lot of our stuff and it's been a battle to get it back, so it has not been a good experience. They came and picked it up on the right date and dropped it off on-time, but somehow they managed to lose a lot of the stuff that was on the truck, I don't understand how that happened. The price was about average, everyone was right around the same price.

Professional service at affordable ...

It was great. I would say it was affordable and there were no big surprises involved in the costs. I absolutely would recommend them. I was not present during the actual move, but I was told they were quick and professional. Just because I wasn't really involved on the moving day, I can't really provide much insight. They were cheaper than the estimate and we didn't use their packing services but they had moved everything in and out.

Great experience all the way

It was a great experience. It went really fast and they didn't damage anything. It was pretty simple and your website was great because I didn't have to call a lot of people. I did actually really like your website. My estimate was really close to my actual price that I paid. That was one of the best things about the move. The movers were very nice and neat. They put everything together very well. They were very professional and it went pretty seamlessly. I think you always expect problems with moving and I didn't have any. I would recommend them. Using the website is great because the moving companies come to you and they bid - it helps you get a lower price. And it also just helps you weed out a lot of companies. The accuracy of the estimate - it was off because of me more than them because I had them packing stuff for me and I knew that - I didn't know how much stuff I actually had. He took what I was saying and estimated up pretty close. It was only $200 off.

Average service

It went well. The calls that they gave me throughout the move were what I liked best about the experience. Price was so expensive though. I did receive all the services that I requested. If anybody is moving, I sure would recommend them. I would have to say packing was fair because all my pillows and couch, mattress was dirty at the edges.

Don't trust this company

Worst experience of my life, they did a phone quote with an honest inventory, said we would get a physical quota too that didn't happen. I asked if they were full service because my daughter is not capable they said she wouldn't have to do a thing. That was a lie. We had to share someone else's freight which left no room on what we disgusted. They hardly packed anything, hardly could get anything to fit said, it was the weight they quoted by phone..which it was not because they hardly took anything..they were rude, wouldn't call us back, we still haven't heard where they are in route. They might be ok for around town but moving is major change in your life. You pay for people to service you and help you and so they charge us full price sharing a load and we now have to go find another moving company with more professionalism. Our daughter is in Texas and she has very little coming. It's a freaking nightmare. But we will pay them as we are filing suit on the worst service and being tricked to use a company that didn't stand behind what was promised..why in the world would I have wasted my time if they couldn't do the whole job.. You have be warned! I would never recommend this company to anyone.

Horrible experience

Moving experience was terrible. The service was absolutely horrible. They broke all my stuff. They basically were holding my furniture captive until I spoke to the manager and threatened to lawsuit. Yes they had reasonable pricing but if you change the date of the move, then they are going to charge you $600. Yes I have received all the services that I have requested. My advice would be don't use them.

Fantastic job done by the movers

It was great. They did a fantastic job, I couldn't have asked for more. They were very careful, they were neat, and they were very respectful. Anything you would hope to have somebody come through and move you and move the things that are important to you, they were; they took a great deal of time and attention to making sure that everything was just fine and all was wrapped up and there were no nicks or anything like that. They did a really nice job. The pricing was wonderful, it was just what we needed. The furniture arrived safely at our destination. Quite frankly, I think they are doing a fantastic job, I would recommend them anybody. This is an excellent company and they were very careful and they get the job done in the way it's supposed to be and you shouldn't have to be worried about anything, as far as your furniture is considered.

The movers executed it very well, but ...

The guys were good. They showed up late. Then I did get had a with tire and it was snowing. They showed up a little late but they compensated, they started the clock a half an hour later, to compensate for it. We do have to put in a couple of insurance claims for a couple of things that were damaged. My mattress was damaged and they completely shattered a shredder. Honestly, if the moving was gonna be in somewhere in new place, we haven't had the chance to send in the claim form yet. But the guys were good, they were friendly, they work really hard and we did tip them out and everything. I am not entirely dissatisfied with them. They did just break a couple of things. We understand things do happen on moves. But they said that we can file some insurance claims. So, they worked hard, they did a good job. The pricing was pretty decent and it was in line with other things. But he came down a little as I knew somebody who worked with company and had work done before. That kind of saved my hope for them. They were good, they came in and they said what they were gonna do and that's true, they said to me that they work hard, so that's most that I can ask, if you work hard and get job done.

Moving doesn't have to be miserable!

I was a little skeptical because the company we used had some issues legally with the way they charged people. The price was a little more than expected and the guys asked for a tip, but they did a great job. They were quick and didnt need much direction. Ultimately they made our move as good of an experience as it could be!

An excellent move

I think their pricing was on the higher side. They just underestimated our stuff and gave a low-cost quote. I paid $300 extra on top of the estimated quote. But their moving service was excellent, and they were very prompt. It was definitely a smooth move. 

We had a pleasant moving experience, ...

We had moved within Massachusetts about three weeks ago and the moving experience was good, thanks to their staff, which was hardworking and professional. But the real highlight of the move, I would say, was their on-time service and reasonable pricing.

A conscientious move

It was a great moving experience. The movers were punctual and organized. There were lot of dishes lying around and they wrapped them up individually. There was no damage during the move. They were very conscientious. They moved a lot of products in the time they were here and I was very impressed with that. They are flexible and did another house after mine. Compared to others the pricing was fair. I had to pay more than the estimate because of packaging materials.

I recently moved within Massachusetts. The moving company that I finally opted for was recommended by one of my friends. Their staff was young and energetic. They were also very dependable and on time. They were reasonably priced.

Due to my husband's job we had to move to Rhode Island. The services of this company were far beyond my expectations. The movers arrived on time and finished the job in a short span of time, considering the fact that I was charged on an hourly basis. It was a flawless service at both ends of the move. I would definitely like to recommend them to anyone who want professionals doing a thorough move.

Fast and efficient service at a ...

I would like to recommend this company that I have used recently for my household move. Even though the movers couldn't speak English, they did a great job. They were fast, efficient, and finished the job on time. As I packed, the movers moved the heavy stuff and took care not to put scratches on it. The delivery of my items was also done as per the schedule. The pricing is also reasonable.
