Overcharged

Overcharged Our estimate was for $4340.52. They gave us a phone estimate. They told us that they would beat the estimate given to us by another company. The other company came to the house and gave a visual estimate of all belongs and the agreed to accept that estimate. They wanted $1647 paid up front. They wanted the rest when they picked our items to be moved. They charged us $3412.50 when they picked up our stuff and then they wanted $3500 when it arrived at the house. He told me that I had to pay right away or they would take all my stuff and not give it back until I paid them. He would not accept a credit card only cash or check. He told me the same at arrival and it had to be paid in full. Based on the behavior that they had exhibited, inappropriate conversations, failure to stop inappropriate conversations, harassment, and retaliation in the form of damaging my dining room table after I complained about inappropriate conversation, I feared for the safety of my personal possessions. The total cost was $7,500. We were overcharged $4059.50. The price was double the estimate. Issues with pick-up We had no phone call the night before with a notice of time window (as promised). We were given only 35 minutes prior notification. Inside our home, the movers were having an inappropriate discussions for almost the entire time (8 hours) about the KKK while they were supposed to be packing and not on a break. When politely asked to not discuss this, they continued. Two of your movers had a very long political discussion of the "Klu Klux Klan" in my family room most of this time they were not really working. I learned that "Klu Klux Klan may be planning bad things to occur in the future". One of the movers seemed very knowledgeable of these things and went into great detail. At first I thought he was crazy but the more he talked the more I wondered if he was part of some organized crime group. I thought I should call the police or FBI. I was latter afraid to call anyone because I feared my belongings would disappear off the face of the earth. I learned that the "Klu Klux Klan founded the United States and that I'm not supposed to believe what is found in history books". I learned "that our President has done really bad things". "That he is not really an American". "That he is not our first black president but actually the fourth". "The new world order". "The anti-Christ was discussed and it was stated that it may be him". "I was told about all kinds of government conspiracy theories." I went outside and asked Andrew to come inside. But, the conversation continued. I could go on! Read more

I am a chef and I take cooking classes at home. Quite recently I moved to Utah. Full service van lines took care of the move and they did a really good job. Packing kitchen items was a really demanding thing to do which they did very efficiently. There was very little delay in the road and that's due to traffic jam. The movers worked their socks off to load and unload all the things. They also helped in unpacking and placing. Thanks God I didn’t try it by myself as I was planning in the beginning. Now I feel that I may be good in kitchen but it would be a horrible experience if I would try the move by myself. I appreciate your service very much. Read more

We used Full service van lines last month to move us from Miami, FL to Wichita, KS. It’s a 4 bedroom house with jam-packed furniture and some very rare antiques. Everything went smoothly

I hired Full service van lines for my house move from Fort Lauderdale to Phoenix, AZ. I am very pleased with the service. The movers were very professional. They arrived on time. On day 1 they do all packing. They handled everything with care. They used bubble wrap for all my fragile items. They dismantled everything except my bed so we can sleep. On day two they sent the van. First they dismantled my bed and started loading everything which took them only 3-4 hours with the help of 3 movers. As soon as loading complete they left my house to Phoenix. They got to my new house within the schedule time and unloaded everything. Also put in each room as they were at my old house. Reliable and Professional

We have used Full service van lines for our relocation last month. We had a mini gym in our house and also house full furniture. We needed a reasonable quote and also a moving company who are very expert in packing. The sales rep gave a reasonable and realistic quote based on the packing service we needed and we felt they do have the capability to do the work, after long consideration we awarded the contract for the service. Very Good Experience

We want to thank the team who moved us last week. The agent and the other team members were a real pleasure to have in our house. They got on with the job, were pleasant and respectful, we had a delay on the day we were meant to begin to move in to our new place, and they were patient and supportive. They had to carry some items up 2nd floor by the stairs, which we had agreed, but they did so with grace. In all of our unpacking we haven’t found any items that were damaged or lost, and we are really very grateful for the care that was taken of our fragile objects. These guys are very punctual, committed, moderately priced, friendly and polite. I hired them for a long distance move because of the price and the completed the task without any unwanted issues. I just simply loved the way they handled all our demands and ensured a very safe and sound move within the allotted time and estimated price. These guys are real professionals. They added $150 and refused to carry ...

We had a final price of $1,800 but when the driver came he said he was going to charge me $150 extra to move up the stairs. But when I was speaking to the sales representative initially I told him it was on the third floor. I was led to understand that everything was part of the package. But when the driver came he added $150 and he refused to carry my things. Read more

It was brokered to come at a time that ...

There was some damage and there were some packing issues that could have been done much easier and better, but it was just the issue of it being moved from one truck to another and then brokered to come at a time that suited the moving company. Read more

The movers were good, the estimate not ...

There were some hidden fees. It was probably a little bit of my error and the guy setting up the size of the truck I needed. It was $1,000 more expensive than expected due to space. The movers themselves were great though. I had two misplaced items but it was nothing important. Read more
