Worst moving experience EVER!!

IF YOU ARE THINKING OF USING THIS COMPANY…DON’T!!! With over 15 moves and three of those international this has been by far the worst!! No pre-move survey,inexperienced packers who either spoke no English or acted like they didn’t while making derogatory comments about us in Spanish assuming we didn’t understand. They showed up at 1pm with a truck that was too small and didn’t finish until 5am the next morning. The lead on the job made frequent calls to his dispatcher resulting in additional charges some of which could have been resolved with a pre-move survey. Most of the boxes were packed by us and those were the ones that remained intact. When we received our belongings at our new home there was significant damage to several pieces of antique furniture,multiple pieces of broken glassware and several boxes completely destroyed. We even received a box of someone else’s belongings. The appraisal on repairing just the furniture was in excess of $7000. Geo Van Lines never answered their phone or responded to voicemails or emails. The movers DID NOT unpack the boxes. When I was noting the obvious damage on their Bill of Laden paperwork,the driver who delivers our shipment rushed us to complete the paperwork and told us any damage discovered after they left could be documented upon discovery and filed within 90 days. Please note: there were NO NOTATIONS OF DAMAGE OR WEIGHTS FOR ANY ITEMS AT SITE OF ORIGIN on the Bill of Laden OR inventory sheets. We filed the necessary paperwork,repair estimate and photos within the 90 days with CAF Moving Claims,their insurance company who returned a settlement of $214 which we have yet to see with final settlement closed in June 2023. This amount was based on their $0.60 on the $1.00 rate per pound minimum - NO WEIGHTS WERE EVER DOCUMENTED on any paperwork for individual pieces of furniture! It was also noted by Geo Van Lines that I failed to identify all damage at time of delivery,which by their paperwork notes could be made upon discovery at time of unpacking prior to submitting insurance claim paperwork. Geo Van Lines was “assigned” to us by Safe Ship Moving Services,a Veteran owned “moving company”. They are actually a contract agency who outsource to moving companies and do not pack or move you. They misrepresent what they do AND take advantage of veterans like us who look to support veteran-owned businesses. When attempts to contact GeoVan Lines failed,I reached back to Safe Ship to assist. The contact information they gave me was for a company called Pink Van Lines and I also found then as Eco Van Lines. Safe Ship was of no further help and said I had to go directly through the moving company. We were packed up on 11-12 Jul 2022. Received our belongings on 22 Aug 2022. We have not received our settlement check and none of the entities involved: Geo Van Lines,CAF Moving Claims or Safe Ship show any responsibility or remorse for this fiasco.

BEWARE! This company is a scam!

Once they are in possession of your goods, they extort you with fake charges. The goods took six weeks to deliver without any regard for the originally agreed upon date or interim status reporting. Customer service is non-responsive. My goods were damaged or destroyed upon arrival. I am posting this review to save others from the same trouble while I engage an attorney to handle the matter. If you use this firm, you will regret it.

Honest and reliable movers

Thank you so much to these guys. It was a huge move. These guys stayed positive all day, moving big items and even during the obstacles we encountered. The team was very conscientious about the time we were spending on the job, keeping me informed the whole way. They were so thorough and I was hugely impressed by the speed with which they work.

Very wise decision

Geo Van Lines did everything correctly during my last move. I expected perfection and they delivered. They moved my belongings with great care and efforts. They sent over four very friendly and reliable movers who worked very efficiently to make sure that my belongings travel safely. It was such a pleasure seeing these men at their element. They were just so organized in every aspect. The foreman led the men very well. The delivery was made right on time and all our belongings had travelled very well. I usually criticize everything but these guys made it impossible for me to say anything negative about them.

All was done well

Geo Van Lines completed the move well within the allotted time and delivered all the goods in one piece and without damaging anything. But this is not the end of this story. They came in time, packed everything with great care, helped us a lot to manage the pets and charged the same amount which was quoted initially. In short, everything was as smooth as silk.

Safe and affordable company

They came within the first half hour of their arrival window, and worked diligently and rapidly as soon as they crossed the front steps. A crew of 3 movers emptied out a 3 bedroom flat with kitchen, living and dining rooms less than given time (packing and loading). Their foreman and his crew were great and I highly recommend Geo Van Lines

Reliable movers

I hired Geo Van Lines as I had to move on such a short notice and I was quite stressed to do it all on my own. Geo Van Lines really helped me through this process. They quoted more than fairly and the movers were very capable. All my stuffs were neatly packed and then loaded onto the truck. They delivered everything on time and in great condition. I’m so glad Geo Van Lines made my move so easy and simple. I will definitely hire them again.

Top-notch movers

These guys were wonderful till the end. They arranged everything, scheduled the move, did the paper work and also gave me a good deal. The lead guy and his helpers showed their class while packing, made the loading look so easy, delivered all my belongings in great condition within the schedule and also helped us unpacking the delicate items. I highly recommend this company for long distance move.

Definitely the right choice

Geo Van Lines gave us a great experience with our long distance move. This is the first time I have used a moving company and I don't regret it at all. The crew arrived on time and was very polite, and they did everything we asked perfectly. They packed everything just right, making sure even the fragile and antique items were packed safely and correctly. Everything arrived in perfect shape, and the crew was very efficient and did not waste any time dallying around. I will definitely use them again if needed and will recommend them to family and friends!

Professional and efficient

My recent relocation from TX to GA was one full of diligence, hard work, and dedication. I had not seen a combination of all these in the other companies. Geo Van Lines, however, proved to be a different match worth everything coming out extraordinary. I was given a good deal and nothing keeps me around like a fine deal. Geo Van Lines were brilliant throughout the whole process. From booking to the moving on the day they couldn't have been more helpful or hard working. Nothing was damaged and they were also very careful bringing in furniture and boxes. They put all furniture together. I would use this company again and they gave us great customer service. Horrible experience. Will never use or ...

I contacted Geo Van lines through Movers.com approximately 2 weeks ago to schedule a move for my mother on May 9. Throughout that process, they were helpful, and I paid above the deposit to help her with move costs and signed the contract. I texted the rep I worked with Thursday May 7th, 2 days before the move because I had not received confirmation. She said they would call me with the timeframe on Friday, which they did, providing a window of 12-3 on Saturday. This is where it goes down hill. They did not show up within the time frame, and I could not get anyone to answer the phone, including the rep I was working with. I called several times and waited on hold for 30 and even selected new customer and instead of being placed on hold, I was hung up on. I was clearly being ignored. After stressing about that all afternoon and trying to find another mover if they did not show, I was contacted by the actual move about 5:15. He told me he would be there about 6 or "something like that". They did not show up until 7 pm. Then they took their sweet time, milking the hours. It took them FOUR HOURS to load her truck. a regular 2 bedroom worth of furniture. No couch, no WD. Come to find out, they had several pieces of another customers items in the truck, so it was not empty. So added to they were moving slow to milk the clock, It was now dark, because they came 4 hours late, and they were having to maneuver to get her items to fit. This added to the four hours. When it was finally loaded, it was almost midnight. We got to the new place 45 minutes before they did, and when they finally got there, it was after 1:30 AM. The guy comes in and states that due to the added hours, the quote was now DOUBLE what I had been quoted. $1000 move. After arguing, stating that it took so long because they got there so late, and had a 1/4 full truck when they arrived, I tried to call their dispatch. Of course, no answer. So we finally paid it because we did not want to deal with it anymore and they would not remove her belongings until it was paid. It was after 2 AM at this point. Of course, when it came time for the guy to call in the payment information, the dispatch answered....Anyways, the got the items mostly off the truck and came in at 4:30 AM and stated we owed more money because it was taking them longer to get the items off the truck. I told them in no uncertain circumstances were we going to pay ANYTHING else and to finish her move. The took the few remaining items off and left. During the move, they were just dumping her boxes over and caused several glasses and trinkets to break. I will never recommend this company to anyone, nor will I every use them again. They are horrible scam artists that are unbelievably unprofessional. I wish I had seen all these reviews before using them. Once they have your deposit money and contract, they are no longer available to contact if you have a problem. Use at your own risk.

Excellent from Start to Finish

I will always use Geo Van Lines for my long distance moves! I was moved so smoothly and carefully that the other moving companies looked like a joke compared to them. This moving company’s employees are very decent, polite and caring. Their moving team was efficient and very hardworking and they helped me move out very nicely. They packed and moved it all so well that nothing got damaged along the way. Their customer service was also a big help! I really enjoyed working with them. I will recommend them to all.

Professional with a personal touch

Geo Van Lines were simply amazing while handling our last move- we enjoyed every second of this move just because of these guys. The 3 men that were sent were helpful, good natured, strong and efficient. They were such perfectionists. We thought they were just great to work around and went out of their way to help. Nothing was broken; they negotiated a tight deal and moved us with ease. They were a delight to have around. It was just so easy having them do this job for me. I am pleased we used these guys and will strongly recommend them to others.

Worth every penny

Most moving companies are out to make profits by whatever means. Fortunately, I can’t put Geo Van Lines in that category. I can say that because they handled my relocation without any issues whatsoever and in the end all my valuables survived the journey without even a single scratch on them. They quoted very reasonably and the customer service was very helpful. The movers were fantastic. They maintained the timings and worked very efficiently. These guys are meant for people like us who care about every penny earned.

Trustworthy Movers

If you are planning for a move and looking for professional movers- Geo Van Lines is the best choice. They estimated me a very reasonable price and provided me an excellent customer service. They arrived early on the moving day which was the first sign of their amazingness. Packing, wrapping, loading- everything was done properly and the whole thing took a small amount of time. They made the delivery on time. At the end of the day my wife and I both were able to take some rest. They saved our time. We are grateful to them.

Flawless Relocation

We hired Geo Van Lines to pack and move our household to our new apartment on the other side of the country. It was a cross-country move and so the risks were way higher. Four movers with impeccable preparations were sent from the company on the moving day. They arrived on time and took care with all our items and asked us if they had any questions. It was a great experience. I will be hiring them again in future.

Simply Perfect

Much respect to the whole team of Geo Van Lines. This was a door to door full service move. We let the movers in and they went right to work. We were very nervous the whole time in all honesty but as the move went on we started to feel more comfortable. We checked in with them periodically and they did the same for us. They made us feel very welcome to be a part of the moving family. The average person I would say is terrified to move so it’s important to work with a trustworthy company. Great prices great service and a perfect relocation to show for.

No worries with this mover

My family had an excellent experience with Geo Van Lines. We actually used them twice. The first time was to have them move some of our belongings. The second time around, we had them move our belongings from our condo into our new house. We worked with five movers, in total. All of them were fast, yet very careful and respectful of our belongings. Nothing was broken and I did not worry with how they loaded and unloaded the truck. Overall, a great experience and I recommend them to people all the time.

Best investment ever

From the minute I called Geo Van Lines I was highly impressed with the informative knowledge the staff provided me with, they answered a majority of my questions before I even asked them! You can definitely tell they know what they are talking about, and the proof was in the pudding! When moving day came it was like clockwork. Everything they said they were going to do, they did and then some. I normally fear but instead it was a well organized process fully effective and I couldn’t be happier.

I was very impressed

This was my first time using a mover so I was kind of nervous. The team made sure that all of my expectations were met and that I felt comfortable. The team and the driver had great communication with me during the whole process. All of my belongings at the end of the move were still in the same condition as they were at the beginning. The pricing of the move was fair and well worth it. Everyone was wonderful and extremely helpful. They handled it well

I had hired Geo Van Lines for my recent move they were very helpful. I have 2 large LED TVs, and they carefully wrapped and carried them to the new house. Other big items were: a few statues and furniture. They were carefully handled as well. The move was quite successful, even after I had to reschedule the time.

Awful Company!! Destroyed all my ...

DO NOT USE THEM. They are an awful company. Got all of my furniture destroyed from the move from Dallas to Houston on 7/8/19. Driver was involved in a car accident which destroyed my entire belongings. Rick Lopez from the company assured me they have insurance to cover accidents like this so I should not worry. They were very uncooperative and pretty much I had to nag them to give me information about their insurance. Fast forward today,I have been fighting with them and insurance company for 3 months now,only to find out they will reimburse $1400 for all of the damage which exceeded $60000 dollars. I still have the broken furniture sitting at the back yard. Their cargo insurance will not reimburse anything although it was their employee's fault. Why? Because the driver was not insured!! Their driver is not insured with any insurance so pretty much you will get reimbursed 60 cents per 1lb. Thank God the driver didn't die but pretty much they are neglecting their employee and the customer!! DO NOT USE THEM.

Horrible Moving Experience

My experience with _____ has been unpleasant and nightmarish. I selected this company because it was affordable compared to other moving companies. Since I’m a single mom/widow, I thought it was a good selection for my budget. Since my new house was not ready, I decided to leave my items with this company for just a month. I called ahead of time to let them know about more items added to the list, but they said it was okay since the workers work hourly. Everything was fine, but the cost was more because I decided to add more things to the list, even though I called ahead of time for the price and to make sure they had enough storage for my items. I didn’t change companies because it was time for me to start at my new job, and I didn’t have any other choices but to stay with them. Well, when they brought my items, they forgot several things for which I am still waiting. Additionally, some of my items were broken even after I told them to be careful and labeled the boxes. It has been two weeks, and I haven’t received my missing items. If they were in one storage, how can they be missing? I would never use this moving company again or recommend it to family and friends. I’m sharing because I don’t want anybody else to go to this horrible experience.

Terrific experience

This is the best company for commercial moves. When I hired them I was confident that they would do well. It was sales rep who gave me that confidence when I was talking about the scheduling my move with them. Their moving team showed absolute control over everything. They made the task look so easy. They showed up on time, displayed great packing skills, carefully loaded all the products and delivered everything on time at the other end. I did not have to see anything broken or damaged. They were flawless from the start to finish.
