Do Not Use This Company

This was the worst experience of our lives. It has been a while since we used them. First of all they brought a truck that was too small (we had to leave things behind). Their estimate was fairly reasonable if they had taken everything. They packed things so tight that things got broken and scratched. They were late arriving and got their truck stuck at night and could not pack anything the day they were supposed to be packing. Came back in the morning. We had the closing at noon. When we came back from the closing and having lunch, they were still packing. We were supposed to leave for FL right after our closing and did not get going until after 6 PM. I had put my kindle and some magazines out on the kitchen counter to put in the truck with me and they packed them. I said oh well I will get it when I unpack. The truck was packed full and they were supposed to be driving straight to FL. They were due to arrive the next day. When they didn't come when scheduled, we called and were told they were in VA Beach. I was dumbfounded. VA Beach was no way on the way to FL. The truck finally arrived on a Sunday a few days later. There were different people to unload and they brought another truck for some strange reason. They were not careful with our things. Guess what? We owed 3 times as much as was quoted. Also that night I looked at my Amazon account and there was a game ordered for my kindle. I found the magazines and no kindle. I assume they stole my kindle and either kept it or sold it to some unsuspecting person. I immediately called Amazon and they rendered the kindle unuseable to anyone else. Another problem was the workers not speaking English sometimes and talking to one another in a different language. I kick myself all the time for using this company. I just hope I can help someone else not to make the same mistake. Also other things were missing from our things that we didn't notice until much later. Probably things that were worth a little bit.

Pleasant and flawless service

The moving van arrived basically at 8-30 like they indicated they would. Initially he was looking closely at the driveway but ultimately backed in. They were able to park very close to the garage. We filled up the moving van. The original estimate was about 2400 cubic feet. Ultimately by the time we packed up everything, we ended up consuming 2700 cubic feet which is almost the entire large moving van. It took them about a day and half to load but they were very very careful in terms of blanketing everything, in terms of wrapping everything, and then they were very careful in moving everything. Frankly we didn't had any damage in the house and we didn't have any damage to the furniture. So that was very positive. They basically finished loading and started driving on the second day and literally on the third day we met them in North Carolina at our home here. They were ready to unload. They did hire a couple of additional people here locally to help unload so they were able to unload in one day. They helped us to set things up, basically put the things that were actually in the garage like we had asked them. I am very pleased. I thought they did a nice job. It ended up costing a little more than we expected but ultimately like I said we ended up having more. It was a very good experience and I would recommend them to somebody if they were moving. I would basically say - very professional, work closely with you to help prepare for the move, and do what they say are going to do.

Serviceable move

There was a lot of communication going on before we hired the company. Later on it was very difficult for me to reach the person who was in charge of my move. It was a frustrating experience to know exactly when the movers were going to arrive. The movers arrived a day later than what was told to me. The two movers who were on the job were highly efficient though and did a good job.

Good team movers - NOT A PROFESSIONAL ...

After accepting and paying a $350.00 deposit the moving process went down hill. I could never get them to give me a date when they could pick up my furniture. When they finally did pick up the furniture it took 12 days for them to deliver it. They do not inventory the items or tagged them so them to be able to identify my items from another customer's items. I have moved 5 times in the past 20 years and every other company I used followed this procedure. Needless to say they started to deliver some items that were not mine and they lost, a carry on luggage bad, 2 TV remotes, a TV power cord, a step ladder and 3 slats form my queen size bed. I have called multiple times and emailed and they have not responded back. I'm not sure if I will ever get these items back. There are numerous other things to complain about but I will file a complaint with the Florida BBB.
