In my opinion, a high rating for this company is wrong and couldn't be further from the truth. If I could go back in time, I would've used another moving company. You'd be much better off with another company, even if that means paying a little extra. My experience with Hollywood Moving was very poor. They arrived unprepared (needed to clean out the truck) moved slowly, took a 10min break and left early. I managed to move within the amount of time I was quoted for only because I moved half of my own stuff and left a lot behind as to not have to pay more and go over my budget. Only minor damage was done to my belongings, but I believe that was because I watched them like a hawk throughout the entire move. When I spoke with the manager he didn't address any of my concerns, but rather accused me of being a liar and said that I exaggerated the truth. My experience with both the movers and management lacked professionalism. Hollywood Moving displayed an extreme lack of professionalism, were misleading (as another reviewer stated as well) with policies and procedures, and were very rude and careless. Do yourself a favor and check out the reviews on Facebook and Google for more of the truth. This review is not meant to be spiteful, but rather to inform other future movers. Move on, keep looking. They did a really good job

They were good, the person who set the appointment with me was very upfront and very honest and I decided to go with them because of that. The day they came and two that did the moving were very profession and made sure everything was packaged properly and they were on time. Through no fault of theirs, I underestimated how much it would cost because I didn't realize how much it would actually cost. Read more

Overall it was great. The day they were moving they did everything really fast, everything was packed really well, the price was excellent. The only issue we had was they were one day later than promised and we had to stay in a hotel but I would say overall I think it was a good deal based on the amount of money we spent. Read more

They were slow, broke my things and ...

They generally moved very slow. ...Once they arrived I had to spend about 30 minutes just signing paperwork ... They made me understand initially over the phone that it would be a job that could be handled in a certain amount of time. Then when they showed up at my house they were saying that it was gonna take much longer. ...They mislead me is basically what happened. ...They took six hours just to load my things ... They insisted on ... Wrapping everything with pads and with plastic, even things I thought were not necessary ... That of course incurred in more charges. ...Two items were broken. ...One of them was crushed in the left when the mover put it on the lift. ...Another one they broke a leg off. ...Overall it took nine hours and cost me more than double what I had originally been given as an estimate. ...I would never use [them] again and never recommend them.
