Overall excellent

This moving company is hands down, without a doubt I have hired the most professional, efficient and friendly movers. Jason, Daniel and Roman were the best mover I've ever worked with. The move was about two hours less than I thought it would take and came under what I had estimated. Estimate accuracy, packing and moving service all are overall EXCELLENT.

Really helpful movers

Whenever I've moved in the past I've just grabbed a few newspapers and wrapped my dishes in these then put them in a box. As a result, I usually end up getting to my new place with a few broken dishes, but overall I thought it worked well enough. Then I hired Ideal Moving

A good experience

This was a good experience. Moving is generally a pain, but I would say it's about 50% less of a pain after having hired I deal moving and storage. They know what they're doing and at the very least I didn't have to worry about getting all of our belongings from point A to point B. They did a good job of worrying about and taking care of that for me.

Keep your valuables safe

I really like that these guys will bring you all of the packing material you'll need to get your home packed up properly. I have gone on hunts for tons of newspaper and stuff in the past, so it's nice that their packing material packages come with things to actually keep your valuables safe.

Very positive experience

This is the first time my firm has actually offered to pay to relocate someone they wanted to hire. I guess this person is someone we just can't live without, and because of this the task of finding in hiring a relocation service for them was handed to me. I found this company through a friend who recommended them, and on my part it was very easy to communicate and set everything up. Furthermore, our new employee arrived without any issues, and when I asked how the move was they said it was pleasant and fairly easy. I am assuming they didn't have any complaints because we didn't hear any, and overall I believe the whole thing went really well. That said if you are a company looking to hire a moving service to relocate employees, I recommend this one, because my personal experience with them for this situation has been very positive.

100% satisfied

So when this company says it's their policy to make sure their customers are 100% satisfied, even if a mishap occurs, they are being totally honest. That's not just some PR wording to get you a hire them. For a specifically this man when they moved our belongings and arrived 10 hours later than scheduled, even though they called to let us know they would be delayed, they still gave us a discount on the entire move itself when we expressed how inconvenient this is been for us. Additionally they were very apologetic and expressed how inconvenient this is been for us. In short they did not rest until we were once again 100% satisfied, thereby making good on their company promise.

Officially impressed

We are finally moved and now I can officially say I am impressed with the people at Ideal Moving. They've clearly been doing this for a long time because they were in and out of her house within like two hours. Then all of our belongings were moved into our new home again within about two hours. I didn't even know this was physically possible, but apparently it is if you have been doing this long enough.

Would definitely hire them again

I ordered Ideal Movings three-bedroom kit to pack up our home. It was our bedroom (mine and my husbands), our daughters bedroom, and a shared office that he and I both use. The supplies we got were all very high-quality, it wasnt just like going down to the grocery store and asking for boxes. They were actually quality boxs we didnt worry about our stuff falling though the bottom of. Additionally they provided plenty of insulating products for all of our breakables. I highly recommend choosing one of their kids if you are moving, even if its just a one bedroom. Apart from that the move went well, we used them for that as well. They arrived on time and treated our belongings with respect. I would definitely hire them again.

Get the job done quickly

These guys know how to treat another person's stuff. While they definitely get the job done quickly, it's not at the expense of your stuff. They clearly aren't just in it to make as much money as possible or they would have been careless, trying to get stuff loaded in and out as quickly as possible just to get the job done. This was not the ease however. They took enough time to ensure items were properly secured, tied down and protected, which was greatly appreciated.

Very impressed

We decided to hire movers since neither one of us was really going to reasonably be able to carry down all our big bulky furniture from our apartment and then get it loaded into a truck. Even if we moved things together it just wasn't going to happen. And it's not like we have a ton of close friends we can just call to help us (we've only been living here in Brooklyn for about six months in totally, we moved here together). So, this was really the only option left for us. That said, this company did a good job and moving our things, and also making us feel secure. They didn't rip us off, or show up late they asked us where we wanted things placed in our new apartment and generally were nice without being overbearing and creepy toward two mid-twenty something women. They did a good job of just treating us like high quality customers and both my roommate and I were very impressed.

A good choice

This was a good decision. Not just to hire professional movers (though that was a good choice also because it made our lives easier), I'm saying it was a good decision to specifically hire Ideal Moving & Storage. They are high quality professionals who know how to move and do it quickly. So again, I say they were a good choice for us (or anyone really for that matter).

Very polite about everything

This was a very good call, hiring these guys as our movers that is. Originally we were just going to try to rough it and do it all on our own. But a week before the move we looked at the forecast, and it was supposed to be sweltering hot, and I knew that would but us both in a bad mood, cause fights and be way more trouble than it was worth. So we hired Ideal Moving & Storage last minute they did it all for us. I do feel about hiring people to do our moving for us in such horrible heat, but I justified it by saying this is their job and if not me someone was going to hire them. And to their credit, they were still very polite about everything and I never once heard any of them complain, even though they were sweating and it looked like a miserable job.

I would never recommend them, they ...

They came out, they took a look at all the items, they walked through the whole house, they gave me a set price ... And then when they had the truck three quarters of the way full, they started playing games, wanting me to pay them more. ...I ended up paying them an additional $400 more, but that was the lowest I could get it down. They were talking about like $2,000 something more.

The movers were very professional.

It was great. People were very professional, the movers, and whatever they told me they did that. So I liked it ... They were quite good.

I was charged double their initial ...

I had a very bad experience. They charged me twice the amount they quoted ... Initially they quoted me $500-something, $560 and then on the day prior to the move they said they forgot to put in the boxes and fees because it's coming from New Jersey, so they said it would end up like $600 plus. But, upon delivery, it ended up I paid like $900, almost $1,000 ... I talked to the manager, he said he was going to investigate ... They did not and it's been like a month now ... All the things in the contract they breached.

I would recommend them

They did a good job. It was a fair price. I would recommend them.

They left my chairs, refused to move a ...

The reason they said (for overcharging) was my house was a little away from the road, so for that they charged extra. That's one thing. Second thing that happened was while moving we realized later that they did not leave one of the chairs. I had a dining table and full set of chairs and they left three of them. I got a call from them and I told them to drop them off and it's been almost a full month and I hadn't heard from them. There was another table, my study table which they were supposed to get and they said that they could not move it because it had to be disassembled. I already asked them if they would disassemble furniture but they did not move it so I had to move it myself. Plus I told them you cannot charge me for this and they said no it was according to the storage space on the truck so they did not decrease the money for that table.

It's been a nightmare.

They promised us a move in 15 days, it's 34 days, my dad still doesn't have his stuff. I've got records of voicemails, conversations, texts, emails, one excuse after another. One guy got pregnant, one guy didn't want to show, one guy has Rosh Hashanah, I've heard it all.

A five-day delivery window turned into ...

I got down here, I let them pick the delivery day so that it would be here when they said. I said, "You can pick up anytime you want, I just need my delivery by.." and gave them a five day window. They selected the pick up date and come deliver time, they said, "No we don't know when It's going to be." So I said, "It's supposed to be within this window,"... "Well that happens." So it was another week past the delivery day, and they said yeah we have it going out and they sent me half my stuff.

I can't in good conscience recommend ...

I actually had a fairly negative experience. They ended up coming in at more than twice their quoted price and on top of that they lost parts of my furniture. They didn't lose any big parts of my furniture, but for example, I have a sectional couch that has a small metal piece that connects the two sections, that they lost.

I would never use them again

It did not go as well as I had hoped. I wasn't pleased with them, they put a hole in my door at my old house which I had to repair. They were suppose to get there at 8 o'clock in the morning and they didn't show up till 2 o'clock. They were like 6 hours late and they never called me, they lied to me they said they'll be there and that they were on their way. There's no way they were on their way. Then they had the audacity of holding me for another $200. They said it took them longer than they thought, after they were late 6 hours. I negotiated $100 and they didn't want to take my check because they only wanted cash. I said I didn't have cash and my bank was not around there, they said they were going to take the stuff with them. They were terrible, I would never use them again.

They overcharged me an incredible ...

Everything was fine up until they got my business. After I paid my deposit everything went down hill. It took a few hours before they came to pick up my things to tell me that they were coming, so at the end I had to rush for everything. Once we were there they overcharged me an incredible amount and I had no choice. They were there and they said that they had to pick it up. Then they took 3 weeks to deliver my things, after the set date they took 3 weeks. They did not contact me to let me know why. After I called a thousand people and spoke to a thousand others what I got was that my things couldn't fit in their trailer so they had to let go of some trailers and then they could fit me in. It was like I was some third class citizen and my things had no priority. Then when they got here they charged me an extra fee. The delivery guys were fantastic, them I would love to work with again but the rest of the process, absolutely not.

The service was good

It was good actually. They have a number of trucks so they had me moved within a week. The service was good. The charge was a little bit more but the treatment of my belongings and the delivery were very good.

They did an excellent job

It went fine. They did an excellent job wrapping and everything but the cost ended being a little more than they had originally quoted. Basically they packed furniture and mirrors and such, they did very well with that. There was no damage at all. i was really happy with all of that. The movers did fine. The quote was for 2 people and for 4 hours. When the guys showed up he had 2 helpers so 3 people in total, so basically it came out to be more expensive than some of their competition.

The move went really smooth

The move went really smooth. They didn't have to pack anything cause I packed everything myself they just moved bigger furniture. They had to wrap it in fabric and saran wrap or shrink wrap. Nothing was damaged, thank god. The movers were good, they were polite and careful with my belongings. They did give me a price quote but it came out a little more because of road tolls, which was only like $20.

I was happy with them

I was very happy with them, everything went as planned. The workers were very hard working and hardly stopped for breaks, They were very nice and courteous and i actually tipped them at the end. They price was fair and I would definitely recommend them.

They broke and lost things

It was negative. They broke a couple of things, they lost a couple of things they didn't send exactly, they said they would send 4 actual movers, instead they sent one person who stayed with the truck and three people who participated in moving. This is despite several conversations saying that I wanted multiple people because there was a lot of stuff. We weren't able to finish the move on-time and I had to pay a fine at the destination.

I'm satisfied

They wrapped everything pretty carefully so I appreciate that. I had some delicate things and everything came out in good order. The pricing was around what other companies do as well. The guys that did the pick up were professional. I had some issues with this company not getting proper updates about what was happening because the dates they promised they would deliver they didn't make. Then you don't hear what is actually going on. I found it annoying about the whole thing because I had to chase them all the time and find out what was happening with my stuff because they are not delivering on the day they said they would.
