Scam Crooks

Do Not Use In and Out Movers. Horrible horrible crooks. Came to our house, gave us an estimate of $6700, 6800lbs .70 a pound. We packed all our stuff. 2,600 sq ft home. 3 other moving companies provided quotes of $8k and $9k. I went with In and Out. Igal the salesman was so nice offered a military discount dropped the price to $6100. We spoke to him 2 months in advance. I sent 5 emails asking for confirmation because our travel plans changed. After Igal received our deposit all communication stopped until I repeatedly called. Igal refused to respond to my emails. Moving day comes, the truck is to small. They need a second truck. We had a storage unit with 30 boxes and a queen size bed that still had not made it on the truck. Igal calls once everything is on the truck and states he has to charge us another $4000. And thats just for the household truck he hasn't included the storage unit and he states he's going to charge more once the truck is weighted again with the storage unit goods. He tells me my household goods weights 12,000 pounds. Not including the storage unit. He went from 6800lbs to 12,000 pounds! Igal is telling me this the day all our prize passions are on his truck, we are driving to FL, and he's explaining there's nothing I can do about it because I've signed a contract and I agreed to .70 per pound. It was pretty good...

It was pretty good I think they probably charged me too much for too many boxes like by packing a few things inside only, so I don't really appreciate that. The moving experience was good as far as everything was packed, they were very quick, but after I was unpacking, I noticed that some boxes had only a few items, there was a lot of packing materials, but a few items so this caused me to have more boxes than I needed and I was charged for each box; like 7 or 8 dollars. So the cost of my moving was more because they didn't pack as many things as they could into one box. Read more

They were okay, they didn't disclose everything up front ... They didn't explain about how much the gas would cost. ...They charged me like so much money to put a box around the ... cabinet. ...They quoted me something and I had to spend an extra $140 on tape and stuff to pack ... my stuff. Took 12 hours, cost me almost twice ...

To be quite honest with you, I thought they kind of dragged their feet. It shouldn't have taken them 12 hours to do their job. And it was three people. I had two people do it before and it took less than what they did. In all actuality, no I'm not satisfied because they dragged their feet, but it's over and done with. They quoted me a price of $800 and it ended up being $1,500. And I've moved several times and never - in fact I even had less stuff this time - never have I had a job that took from 9:30 to 10:30- 11:00 at night. Never. ... I would not ever, ever, ever, ever call them, not even to move anything out of my garage. I would not recommend them. I just think that the work that they did was sheisty. ... Prompt, respectful, and professional

Well they were prompt and they did everything exactly the way I wanted them to do it. They timing was perfect, they did everything on time. Very respectful. [The pricing] was fair, it was okay, and you know, but the thing that made me choose, it was the professionalism of I don't know manager, I don't know his name...he went through the process, explained the process. It was overpriced for my taste

I think we paid more than we expected. There was slight damage. The service was very nice but we expected faster service and the price quoted was in the 400's and we ended up paying some amount around 700. I think it was overpriced for my taste. Read more

It was really amazing they did a ...

It was fantastic. They guys got an A++. Their rep came out and gave us an estimate and everything. He promised great service and everything else and he seemed like a pretty sincere guy and all. He delivered on everything he said and compared to a couple other quotes he was the least expensive. It was really amazing, they did a fantastic job. It was moving out of a high rise condominium and the afternoon before, which was on a Sunday, the freight elevator quit. These guys had to use the regular elevator, they had a few more trips downstairs when they finally got it working Monday afternoon. It didn't bother these guys, they took it in stride. They were fantastic I would highly recommend them without any reservation at all. They were there on time and they were very professional. It was about 3:45 Monday afternoon when they had the truck loaded and everything else and they were at my house less than 24 hours later in northern Indiana. Move Went Well, But They Gouged Me in ...

Move went well, I didn't have to touch a thing. BUT, the estimate was $544, and they TRIED to charge me $1680 at the end. First, they showed up with four instead of three guys which took the price up from $99 to $130 per hour. Second, the lead guy added additional charges to the contract AFTER I had signed, right in front of me. Third, tried to charge me 10 hours (which included their 2 hour lunch) instead of the 8 hours they actually worked. I am not a push-over and ended paying $1300, but believed this happened because I am a single woman who hired them without a man present. Read more

Went really smooth

The move went really smooth, I didn't really have any issues except for the fact they were a little late, thats the only thing that really bothered me because it delayed everything else. Besides that, the guys were really hard working, and respectful of our things. I would recommend them to friends and family. Read more

Service was average

Everything went well but they overbooked themselves. We were supposed to move on a Wednesday and when I called to confirm that time I found out that they had overbooked themselves and we were asked to reschedule, so we moved on a Tuesday. The price was fine but we scheduled to move on a certain day and they weren't communicating with me. I didn't know when they will let me know that because I called them a few days before the move to confirm the time because I was looking through documentation and I couldn't find the specific time. The guys that actually moved us were nice. Once they started a stream of communication, it was fine. I am not sure I will use them again. For future customers I can say to always make sure that they reserve their date to move. They have in writing a specific time. When I talked to the person-in-charge and had a complaint, they worked to resolve that pretty quickly, but I would just say that they need to work on their communication with their customers. I think the estimate was very accurate. I wouldn't say they were horrible but they definitely could have done better. Read more

Couldn't have asked for more

I would like to say how efficient they were. Also, their pricing was very competitive. The crew was professional, quick and fast and they delivered on-time. That is what impressed me. Often times you have like three or four hours from the moving company but these guys were right on target. I would recommend them and for future customers I would say go for it - they did an excellent job. I don't think they could have done any better. I was really happy and the packing was great. Prompt service would use them again

The move was great. They came on time. They never broke anything. Everything was intact. They were very prompt. They brought everything I asked them for. So I was very happy with them. Pricing was reasonable and they never increased it. We agreed on a price and they kept their word. We paid the same amount. We received all the services that we requested. Performance is their middle name

We were moving to a bigger house so that the kids could have their own rooms. It was a short distance move and the movers arrived on time. They did a great job. What I liked the most was that they were careful with my belongings. They disassembled my furniture and wrapped them separately. My furniture arrived in the same condition as how it has been loaded. DO NOT CHOOSE IN AND OUT MOVERS! ...

I scheduled and made the required deposit with In and Out Movers approx. 2 weeks ahead of time. The move was scheduled for a Friday evening. Before leaving work that day i verified with In and Out that they were running on time and would be at my house at the time specified. 2 hours later when i called back to get an ETA i was told that my movers were still on their previous assignment. They stated they did not have any other available appointments for that evening, Saturday, Sunday, or Monday, for that matter. I was simply told to "find another company, beacuse they had no availability." When i asked for a return on my deposit I was told it would be processed that very same day. Needless to say it was not done until 3 days later. Read more
